About: I've taken care of my 4-year-old dog ever since he was a puppy, and before that, I've had parrots, hamsters, lizards, and other pets! I also take care of my family's pets. As a regular Rover user, we believe in providing high-quality and individual care for our dog guests. We adjust the level of care and activities depending on the dog’s health and owner’s preferences. Having my own senior dog who’s also blind, I have personal experience caring for fragile and older pups. 🏡 Home and Neighborhood Currently, I work full-time from home most of the week and I’m home most weekends. Our dog guests are allowed on the couch and bed, unless the owner prefers otherwise. We live in a walkable neighborhood with many tree-lined walking paths, bushes, parks and other friendly dogs and people. 📸 📱Daily Pictures and Updates We are very communicative and make sure owners get at least 3 updates with pictures and/or videos each day. 🦮 🐾 Walks Your dog will enjoy at least three 15-20 minute walks (usually at a casual pace and sniffing around the neighborhood) and ALWAYS leashed on our walks, usually using my own durable leash (the same rope material that rock climbers use). Their safety is my highest priority. 🧍🏽🐕 Meet and Greets Highly recommended for first-time guests. This allows the dogs to meet and I can get a good sense of your dog’s needs and how to best care for them. The meeting place is at a small park/playground in our neighborhood. 🗓️ 🚘 Drop Off and Pick Up Times *Weekdays: flexible, I’ll just need to know in advance to plan my schedule. *Weekends: Flexibility between 8am-7pm with advance notice. I work from home most of the week and am home most weekends, so your dog won’t be home alone too long but s/he should be comfortable to stay at home with Channing for a few hours. We go outside for 3 (sometimes more) walks each day usually at 7am, 12pm, 5pm and around 10pm. Your pup will have a great stay with us and Channing! Feel free to send us any questions! 💊 Medical Care We have experience administering medication to dogs, including oral and eyedrops (our dog is on several medications). For older and/or blind dogs, I carry them and use a baby gate as needed.

About: I'm excited to have your furry friend over and will give them all the TLC they deserve while sticking to their regular schedules. I've been obsessed with dogs since I was a kid and have taken care of our family dog, Lucky, since he was a puppy up until he passed away due to old age at 17 years. I now have a 6 year old Shiba Inu, Sumi, and a 10 year old cat, Ellie. Sumi was a rescue mill mama and was extremely fearful. With patience and love, she's finally come out of her shell. I've managed to teach both the dog and the cat tricks and work on training with them daily. I have a very flexible schedule at the moment and am home most of the day. I'll stick to whatever schedule your pet is used to so there won't be any confusion when they return to you. Our neighborhood is pretty large and also has a walking trail, so walks can be as short or long as you'd like. There's a dog friendly space downstairs with plenty of room to run around and play with toys, or if they prefer to chill, there's plenty of pet beds and blankets in the living room. I have a very chill and friendly Shiba Inu and Husky/Shepherd mix at home that can keep your dog company. I do have a cat that has their own room and can be separated if your dog doesn't get along with cats. I also have a large crate and two pens available if that's something you're used to doing. Baby gates are set up between each floor, but are usually left open for my dog. There are cameras on each floor so that I can keep an eye on the pets if I'm leaving the home or on a different floor.

“My dog can be fear reactive when meeting new people but this was not the case at our meet and greet with Joann - Hazel was very comfortable with her, and even put her paws on Joann in a manner that suggested to me she really liked her. When I dropped her off for day care I watched as Hazel sidled over to her and stayed calmly at her side as I departed. Joann’s home is spacious and clean, and her fenced in backyard is a great feature. Hazel seemed to truly enjoy her time with Joann and we will certainly return for future care needs.”

About: I was raised within a big family of dog lovers and have since expanded my love to cats (so much so that I now have my own cat). I was taught from an early age that pets aren’t just animals – they are family, a lifetime commitment, honor and privilege. Whether it’s caring for my family’s senior, blind and diabetic pug, my neighbor’s rambunctious puppy or my best friend’s anxious cat, I treat all fur babies like my own family. Additionally, I also work in the arts. I find that my deep love for the arts also influences my style of pet and home care. With me, it’s a guarantee your precious cargo will be treated like family and like the unique piece of art that they are. I’m a freelancer in the arts and work from contract to contract. The summer months are significantly slower than the rest of the year, so I have lots of extra time between May and August to dedicate to the care of your dog, cat or home! Whatever parameters you set for the care of your pet and home, I will always follow to the letter. Give me as much or as little instruction as you see fit and I will make your best case scenario a reality. I am also always willing to send you as many pictures, videos or texts as you wish while you are away. I know and greatly value how much these tidbits can help with peace of mind.

Throughout the week, they sent me regular updates and lots of cute pictures, which I really appreciated, it was so nice to see how happy he looked. They clearly took great care of him and made sure he got plenty of attention and love. When I picked him up, he was calm, content, and clearly had a great time. “Hermes had a long stay with Kelly, 17 days! Kelly took such good care of him including tick check and wiping his tear marks due to mild allergies. She sent me pictures and updates on Hermes on regular basis and Hermes was definitely a happy dog under her care and playing with her two lovely kids. I will book Kelly again no doubt!
