About: Since 2014, I’ve cared for pets of all ages and pawsonalities — from shy kittens to spicy dogs, plus chickens, bunnies, and even a hermit crab. 🐶🐱🐔🐰🐟 Fostering over 200 pets has made me fluent in body language (pet edition). Whether your pet wants snuggles, space, or serious playtime, I tailor each visit to what makes them happiest. I’m comfortable giving medications* and teaching basic obedience. I also make the experience great for you! I’m a reliable communicator, send plenty of cute pics, and if your pet’s up for it, you’ll come home to a handmade surprise “from your pet.” *If medications are required to be given an additional fee will be negotiated and applied before the booking is confirmed. Pet care fits naturally into my routine — it’s something I genuinely enjoy! I’m available mornings, evenings, and weekends, with a flexible schedule that allows me to adapt as needed. I am able to care for about a dozen pets per week and I only book one house-sitting family at a time to ensure each pet gets my full attention. Walks and drop-ins can easily be added into my day, especially Monday through Friday. Pet care is both relaxing and rewarding for me — I love building relationships with the pets I visit, and I think they look forward to our time together just as much as I do! I provide care exclusively in my clients’ homes, starting by learning their pet’s established routine to ensure they feel comfy and happy. I gather all the important info — like vet contacts, emergency numbers, and where cleaning supplies live (just in case!). I’m a tidy sitter too: I take out the trash and scoop up any yard “presents” to keep things fresh. Most importantly, I listen closely to both owner and pet to discover what makes each furry friend feel safe and loved, then tailor my care to their unique personality.
“Gisel did an awesome job accommodating my last minute emergency need to board my dog for a few days. She was patient, responsive and flexible given this was the first time I ever used this service. I would definitely use her again.”

“Steven gave us great feedback on our dog's stay at his home. He walked her, provided photo and message updates during her stay, and was interested to hear about our normal routine before we dropped her off. It is clear that he cares!”

“I really want to thank Janelle, Joanna and Gwendolyn for the excellent love they gave my Broc and Remi. You could feel from the first meeting your fur babies would be in good hands. They asked very good questions about your pets, so that they could render the best care. I received updates, pictures and videos showing the fun Broc and Remi was having. I could tell Broc and Remi were having lots of fun playing with their dog Zoe. If I ever need a sitter again, I'll definitely reach out to them and hope they're available. Thank you Ladies again and thank you Rover for your service.”

“Casey did a fantastic job watching my dog. They were reliable, communicative, and incredibly caring. My dog loved her and her family! I cannot recommend them enough and will absolutely use them again in the future.”

“This is the first time we have used Lauren for taking care of our Roxy while we were on vacation. Lauren provides a clean, loving environment, and took excellent care of Roxy. She provided pictures of Roxy who was having a ball playing with the other dogs under Lauren's care. We highly recommend Lauren for boarding!”

“Randi and her family were amazing with our dog and treated him like their own. She was responsive and sent regular pictures and updates. We will definitely use her services again.”

“Cali was an excellent sitter for our beloved dog Maya. She was easy to communicate with including when we ended our trip early and picked our dog up earlier than expected. She clearly cares about dogs and our dog came home happy and tired so I know she had a great time. She sent great pictures and we would definitely trust her to care for our dog in the future. I highly recommend her services for anyone looking for a caring and friendly sitter.”

“Melissa was great! She was flexible with my drop off and pickup times and was always in touch. Luna had a great stay! Melissa also sent me pictures too, which helped a lot! Would definitely use her again!”

“Mariah was terrific. We had daily reports on the situation at Home and how everyone was doing. She asked lots of questions about ways to better care for our pets. We were away over the holiday season and Mariah never missed a beat straight through the holiday season, including a freak snow storm. We were so nervous since our last pet sitter moved away an used Rover to find Mariah,. We were unsure what to expect since our other sitter was a close friend. Mariah surpassed them and made our vacation stress free. Thanks Mariah!!”

About: I’m a mental health therapist and lifelong animal lover, so I understand how important peace of mind is when you’re away from your pets. I grew up around animals—my mom ran her own professional pet sitting business, and I learned from her experience with the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters. I’ve cared for all kinds of pets—cats, dogs, reptiles, rodents, and more—and have been trusted with their care since I was a teen. I’m comfortable and experienced with medicating pets when needed, always following your instructions carefully. As a pet parent myself, with my cat Luna at home, I know how much your pets mean. I’ve cared for pets of all ages and sizes—young or old, big or small—and treat every pet like part of my family. Because when your pet is happy, you are happy!
“Keren helped us out in a bind with very little notice. Having her come to let out and feed our dogs was extremely helpful while we were away for a wedding. The dogs quickly adjusted to her and we highly recommend her!”
About: I’ve grown up with dogs (German Shepherd, Pug, rescues, Jack Russell’s), a cat, and horses. I currently have a 5 year old Lab and 14 year old horse. I’ll communicate (written and pictures) for check ins. I treat every pet like family. We look forward to meeting you! I work full time and, live close by. I’m able to go home to let pups out for a potty break at lunch and walks around the neighborhood after work, and/or play in the back yard. On weekends, I try to go out for a longer/walk hike. I have a fenced in yard and my 5 year old Lab to keep your pup(s) company. I am open to crate trained dogs, and have various size crates as needed. Two kids (11 and 13) are in my home.
“Stephanie was very punctual, professional, and left detailed notes after every visit so I always had the peace of mind while out of town. She even let me know when the cats spilled some water from their bowl and tidied up the eating space! Thanks for going above and beyond - I certainly know who to trust with my cats in the future.”

About: I’ve once house sat for multiple nights, with five cats, where I managed feeding schedules, litter box care, and making sure each pet was comfortable and well cared for. I loved having so many furry and friendly faces to come home to at the end of the day!
“I have been using for a couple of times now. She is 💯 reliable and I can always count on her to giving loving far to my cat Rin. I wanted a sitter that can give lots of cuddles and love in addition to providing care ( cleaning litter, water etc). She is the person.”

About: My husband and I love dogs! Our dog, Alfred, is like one of our children. We have two young girls who have grown up with Alfred. We live in a single family home with a fully fenced back yard on 3/4 of an acre. We love being outside and frequently play in the back yard and go for walks. I work from home, so I will be here all day with your pup except for when I drop off and pick up our girls from daycare. We took a little break from watching dogs through rover due to moving homes and having a new born but we are back and excited to watch your pup. Please let me know if you have any special requests!
About: As a child and teen, I helped my mom breed, raise, and train golden retrievers. As an adult and family man, I cared for my dog "Beyoncé" and cat "Kitty." This includes food, water, play, running, brushing, brushing teeth, and trimming. My pets have passed on and I’m ready to host 😊 Im a dad of 3 boys with shared custody. With a barn and a sunroom, I’m able to separate kids from dogs as-needed. I enjoy the rural setting, and keep chickens and ducks, and garden. I’m a civil engineer / environmental consultant and work at home 100%. I have a lot of flexibility with taking breaks. Experienced with using a clicker to train, and using a beep / vibrate collar for training spirited dogs. Aiming to cater to the most “difficult” dogs for those owners who have limited options. I work at home as an engineer / consultant and have lots of flexibility with taking breaks. I have a need to move every hour at least. I live in a single family home that I own. The house is kept clean and because of my pet history I keep things off the floor and food safe from pets. There’s a nice yard but no fence. I have my three boys staying here every other week/end. They're animal lovers too, but in case separation is needed, my bedroom, enclosed sunroom, and finished barn space can be used to contain a pet when the kids are around. For pet sitting and dog walking, I have a leash and a fanny pack. As a runner, it's a joy to take energetic dogs on the trail. For runs & walks, I use my own private access to the little gunpowder falls river woods with a long walkable waterfall, the local NCR trail, or the cemetery across the street (1/4mi laps).
“Poppy gets excited to get to Crissy's house and enjoys her time with Dublin. Crissy is flexible on timing when I've bumped into conflicts, and adjusting recurring days.”

“Frosty clearly enjoyed spending time with Shannon. He was so tired after playing with the other dogs that he fell asleep right away. Thank you, Shannon!”

“Emma was so sweet with Puddin' - just the kind of energy that makes my nervous standard comfortable. She was also very flexible with me as I needed to drop off Puddin' way later than originally planned.”

“Kelly took amazing care of our puppy Murphy!! She sent me many photos and videos throughout the day, she took the dogs on long walks and gave them lots of playtime, she made sure my puppy had time to take a nap, and she was very responsive. Kelly and her dog Callie are incredibly sweet and I give them my highest recommendation!! We hope that Murphy will return to play soon!”

I also travel to homes for any pups that are a little anxious when they leave their comfy place. I always clean during and after my visits to provide that additional piece of mind knowing that your home is cared for as well as your pets.

About: I started using Rover to find a dog walker and soon used it to find a dog sitter. I have had such an amazing experience that I wanted to provide that same experience to others. I have had dogs of all sizes and breeds my entire life and so am happy to take care of any breed or size. About: Hi! My name is MaKenzi and I have had pets as long as I can remember, I grew up with two pitbulls rescues, two smaller dogs, and an older cat that I assumed most of the care for as both parents worked full time jobs. Taking care of multiple animals at one time requires a lot of energy and the ability to organize the things they need well but I learned very quickly! Since I have lived on my own I have helped friends and coworkers with taking care of their beloved fur babies while they’re on vacation or just need an extra hand with their pets. In the last year I have rescued my own kitten and I have absolutely spoiled her with all of the patience, love, affection, and extra care that her heart could desire.
About: *Please note, I will happily work with furry friends that are outside of my displayed work zone, if that is a situation that works for everyone. I truly am a dog and cat person. Dogs, and cats, are part of our families, and enrich our lives. I will always treat your baby, just as you would. I grew up with dogs. When I begged my mom at 12, and got my own dog, my mom told me I would have to do the work, and my mother doesn’t play. I did the work, trained my puppy to use one side of the yard for potty. She was trained so well, she could be walked off leash, and always responded. My dog had allergy problems, at age 12 I gave my dog allergy shots. As an adult, I lived in apartments, and cats suited my life better. I babysat a few cats, one for a month, and then adopted my first cat. Another cat came for a home to my back door. Both of my cats were raised with 3 kids, harmoniously. My schedule is open, whether you need play and activity for your pets, check-ins, or overnights. Mornings, nights, or weekends, I’m here to help your family! My goal caring for your babies, in their homes, is to keep their lives as stable and consistent as possible. I know how important keeping your fur family’s lives as regular as possible is, when you can’t be there. I love your advice on the details of what your baby/babies wants and needs when you can’t be there.
“AMAZING! Great communication, my pup loves seeing her and spending time with her and she keeps him fresh on his skills!! It's so great to have found a fellow puppy raiser-- even though Potter is no longer in training, Bridget was easily able to pick up on his foundational skills and knowledge without me telling her and it's great for Potter to be able to practice and use some of that, even if it's just to work his brain and tire him out a little more!”

“Kendall is very attentive to my dogs. She arrives during the scheduled time and actively plays with my dogs - tossing a ball, giving love and belly rubs. She also reads their body language and notices when they are ready to go back in the house and she will hang out with them in the house till the scheduled end time.”

About: I’ve taken care of big and small dogs starting at a young age. Neighbors have trusted me to walk, play, and sit their loving dogs. I take care of a 115lb dog of my own, but have cared for dogs all of sizes! I am energetic and love to play and give all attention to the dog as if it’s my own. I am compassionate but take the training of the dog into consideration. I love long and short walks to keep the dog in shape and healthy. I’m currently working part-time, so I am very flexible and open to many schedules! I am a full-time student at UMD from September to May. I have a fenced yard and one chocolate lab at home who loves to play. I love to play indoors or outdoors depending on weather. I can never stray away from taking a cat nap with an adorable dog and have plenty of dog beds for your animal.
About: **Currently only providing "at your home" care, to include housesitting, overnights, drop-ins, and walks. As my regular pup parents know, we are moving, but once settled in, will resume with boarding. If your interest is in house sitting, I can provide you with a schedule of what that would look like for your pet/pets. :0) I have cared for dogs for quite some time. Currently, I am in-between dogs, so have none of my own (we do have an adorable hamster named "Theodore"). I am an animal lover and understand the importance of your pet to you. I have an 11 year old daughter, so need peace of mind your pet enjoys children. My daughter is very much a part of my pet care life. And knows the do's and don't(s). We are animal lovers, and truly enjoy every moment. I have an unfenced yard and my home backs to over an acre of common area. I have a moderate-size deck that I gate. I live in a residential neighborhood with plenty of space for walks. I have plenty of space within my home for entertaining your furry buddy. At the moment I work full time from home. Sometimes I work part time for the Harford County Public (elementary) School System. I enjoy spending time in the comfort of my home. I miss all of my prior pups and am so happy when they return for a visit. I generally take pets in my care for a walk three times a day. They will be taken outside for pee/poop breaks often. The majority of my pup parents choose to board in my home. If you are boarding your pet, you are welcome to bring your dog's bed, I have an extra large crate for safety concerns, so you can leave your crate at home, and please bring any other comfort items your pet enjoys. I always place a gate between my front door and living space. And your pet, unless I need to step out for groceries, or to drop a child at ballet, will always be under my watchful eye; otherwise crated, or gated, in a secure area. Safety is my #1 priority.

“Chili had a great time. He loved snuggling lol. Thank you so much for making him feel at home and taking great care of him 🩷. And we appreciated all the pics while we were away.”

“Lois is amazing and always does an incredible job caring for my dog Finn. He stayed at her house while I was on vacation. I always know he’s going to be well taken care of.”

“Thomas and his sons took great care of Tucker while I was away. He responded quickly every time I reached out and Tucker seemed right at home when I picked him up at the end of his stay!”
