Growing up, I had all kinds—from dachshunds and pit bulls to Australian Shepherds and lovable mutts—and I’ve fallen in love with each and every one. I have been pet sitting outside of Rover for many years. I have a very sweet pit mix and do not discriminate against any breed! I understand the importance of trust and communication while allowing someone to care for your pet! I will always go above and beyond to give extra love to your furry friend, not just take care of basic needs. I keep a well stocked pet cabinet and bring supplies with me for sits, drop-ins, and walks. Anxiety, tummy issues, allergies, discomfort, first aid, grooming, enrichment- you name it, I'm prepared. I've handled several medical emergencies. I take the responsibility seriously. You can trust your family member will be properly cared for in any situation. Any concerns or changes in routine will be addressed with you immediately. *If interested in boarding please note that I do have a 66 pound Pit mix. He previously lived with another dog, a cat, and two toddlers. He is very friendly with absolutely zero aggression. He will not stand up for himself. I would be happy to do a meet and greet in my home or on neutral ground. If your pet is not compatible with large male dogs, please do not request this service. Alternatively, I would be happy to pet sit or stop in for longer visits. I work from home part time with very flexible hours. I can easily fit any needed pet care into my routine. I am up and available at most hours, early morning and late at night included. I do not board more than 2 pets at a time. Though I do not personally crate, I will if it's the routine of your pet and the crate is provided. My home is equipped with baby gates and large bedrooms so I am prepared to separate without your furry friend feeling too cooped up, should the need arise. I do not have a fenced backyard. Walks will be given a minimum of 3 times a day. 4-5 walks is my normal routine, though I am happy to follow your pets cues or their routine. My neighborhood is pet friendly with walking trails and lots of shaded areas. I have a deck with a large umbrella and dog beds, perfect if your pet likes to sunbathe as mine does!

About: I’m currently a college student at St. Mary’s College of Maryland but I’ve always had a dog growing up. Additionally I’ve also had hamsters and fish. I’ve pet sat for neighbors, friends, and family since I was a teenager. I’ve also used my art background to draw pet portraits for various people! So, I am very comfortable being with dogs of all sizes. Walking them, feeding them, crate/potty training, and of course playing with them! Further more, I’ve worked as a kids art camp counselor for many summers through Abrakadoodle art camps. And while no dogs were on premises (most of the time) I was in charge of keeping kids safe and engaged. I fully understand that animals are family and deserve someone trustworthy to look after them. In the summer I have an internship at the Maryland Anxiety Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays that I will leave early in the morning for and not get back until after 2pm Otherwise I am fully free Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. As my only other obligation is an online class! If housesitting is needed I would make absolute sure that nothing gets disrupted and that your pets are on track with their daily routines. I’ve housesat for neighbors before and I understand that an extra level of care is required for the animals overnight. Whether that means making sure they’ve gotten excessive for the day or whether they’ve been given a treat before bed.

She did her very best and took them earlier than planned to help us make our flight. “WE WERE TURNED AWAY BY SOOOO MANY SITTERS... I checked the schedule of every sitter before making contact to ensure that they were available. I made contact with at least 10 sitters and got "I'm out of town" or no response at all. The issue was my dog was asked not to return to a commercial kennel "Muddy Paws." There was no violence or aggressive behavior, just anxiety shown by barking, howling, tipping food, and water. But all of this is in Ash's bio, and finally, someone was real enough to tell me. "After reading your dogs bio, I don't feel comfortable with him." So I gave up and started to cancel a much needed family vacation. Then I got a small sign and tried Lindsay. She was the only one who asked, "What happened at Muddy Paws?". From there, we exchanged texts, and she asked if we could have a meet and greet that day. We had a wonderful meet and greet, and she took Ash for our vacation. And from there, we were thoroughly impressed. We got pictures, videos, and text messages. My wife actually got a little jealous due to how comfortable Ash looked and smiled in every picture. Plus, he found a new best friend in her dog, Remi. Now, if you are curious to know how Ash did, I highly recommend you ask Lindsay. She even went as far as to write something the other sitters could read that would educate them on Ash's behavior.
