About: Starting at the age of 11 up to today I have been trusted to take care, bathe and feed animals in my neighborhood, friends and family. I’m well at observing and giving medication if needed for older pets but also can be playful and help with the puppies/kittens as well! I live in a very walkable and safe neighborhood community in Ellicott City. While not gated, it is a closed community and offers numerous paths for dog walkers, including a dog park nearby as well. We did not realize how anxious our dog would be, as he is generally ok meeting people on walks. However, he is fearful when people come into our house and can growl and be reactive at times. Roy gave him the space he needed and didn’t force anything on our dog. He was patient with him and us and gave him lots of treats and gradually let our dog get to know him. It’s obvious that Roy has spent a lot of time around dogs and is adept at reading their body language. She met up with us ahead of time to ensure that he was comfortable in her space, gave him lots of loving attention, took him on plenty of walks, played with him, and sent us several updates. She also listened carefully to the details of his history of reactivity with some dogs and was prepared to take the steps needed to keep everyone safe. This was our first time leaving him in a sitter's home and we came home to a happy and healthy dog! We're grateful for Hirut's care and we would be happy to ask for her help again.”
