Besides being a good sitter for our fearful pup, Thomas was also very flexible and responsive. We had booked him so last minute, and we couldn’t get home in time due to the recent snow storm. I've been obsessed with dogs since I was a kid and have taken care of our family dog, Lucky, since he was a puppy up until he passed away due to old age at 17 years. I now have a 6 year old Shiba Inu, Sumi, and a 10 year old cat, Ellie. Sumi was a rescue mill mama and was extremely fearful. With patience and love, she's finally come out of her shell. I've managed to teach both the dog and the cat tricks and work on training with them daily. I have a very flexible schedule at the moment and am home most of the day. I'll stick to whatever schedule your pet is used to so there won't be any confusion when they return to you. Our neighborhood is pretty large and also has a walking trail, so walks can be as short or long as you'd like. There's a dog friendly space downstairs with plenty of room to run around and play with toys, or if they prefer to chill, there's plenty of pet beds and blankets in the living room. I have a very chill and friendly Shiba Inu and Husky/Shepherd mix at home that can keep your dog company. I do have a cat that has their own room and can be separated if your dog doesn't get along with cats. I also have a large crate and two pens available if that's something you're used to doing. Baby gates are set up between each floor, but are usually left open for my dog. There are cameras on each floor so that I can keep an eye on the pets if I'm leaving the home or on a different floor.

One needed a cart to get around, another had a strong instinct to chase deer, and one would try to eat anything left on the ground, even gum. Every one of them required patience and time, and I worked through their issues using consistent positive reinforcement. I am available most of the week. If my current dog gets along with your dog, then I can do boarding at my house. If your house is close enough, I can get there early in the morning and late at night as far as boarding goes. I do have a fenced-in yard and 1 dog that may or may not like your dog. In the past all my dogs were friendly. This one is a bit picky.

I would say within five minutes of the meet and greet it was clear that Shanilka and her husband would be taking great care of him. “Chris (and Maria) were great hosts for our Remy and welcomed her into their home. Chris kept us updated with photos and videos which was very helpful. We could see Remy was really comfortable with them. They looked after her food and meds needs and it looks like Chris gave her plenty of exercise as well which is a huge plus with the backyard. Remy returned to us just how we had left her with them. Would recommend Chris for tremendous empathy with animals and also excellent communication and updates.”

“Abigail helped me to understand why my dog makio is so anxious and stressed out related not used to be apart from her mom. I didnt know the anxious or stress actually hurtful to her health and Abigail found some way to help to cut makio’s stress or disract her. Abigail gave makio her favorite sweet brown cow doll. She is best !!”
“I could not have been more pleased with Boxer’s stay with John. He has a dog, and we walked them together before our actual sitting dates, just to make sure they got along. They did. John was kind and welcoming, provided daily (and encouraging) reports, and lots of pics. The best of all: I didn’t worry about Boxer’s safety or well-being AT ALL. I’d use John again in a heartbeat!”
