About: Animals have been in my family for as long as I could remember! When it was my time to take care of them, I loved them till my heart broke. I took care of my first ever pet fish, Rudolph, in elementary school till his last moments of life, the fish life can be simple but the work put into the fishes care can help create a fun and relaxing environment. After Rudolph, I have the pleasure of having the family dog Angel. A lovely pit bull mix, who made being fun and rambunctious seem to be the best characteristics in life. Later when I started high school, I had my first cat Lucy, who lived for a very long time until my junior year in college. I understood that cats are very laid-back, however I also understood that each cat has a unique personality, and like humans, take some time to see their personality. Very recently I take care of 2 cats with my mom named Rambo and Misty, we have had these kittens turned cats for a year and they still show me more and more how each cat is unique. I take care of these cats by providing a space of care, most people may think that cats are easy animals because they take care of themselves, but I realize that cats need to be taken care of as well in ways of having someone to play with, to having someone to cuddle with to having someone clean their litter box every day. My motto with animals is that, they should be treated with the same respect of humans. They should receive similar care and loving that we give to humans because of how much they do for us. And with my experience I have seen plenty of animals and I am always open to learning more about them. I have recently graduated from undergrad at McDaniel so as I am finding my footing in the world I currently strive to care for animals in my free time. With that I currently take care of my 2 cats almost every other hour, to feed them or to provide them cuddles and pets and when they need food or clean water bowls, I ensure they are done with integrity. I'm a pet owner too, so I know how important it is to stick to your pet's routine and send plenty of updates so you can relax. As a graduate student, I have a very flexible schedule. My campus is only a 10-minute drive away, which means I can easily come home to check on your pet every 2-4 hours, or as often as needed. My neighborhood has plenty of green spaces and safe areas, perfect for long walks and playtime. My home features a secure, fenced-in backyard with plenty of grass, giving your pet a safe space to play and take comfortable potty breaks. I have a friendly, 5-year-old Siberian Husky who loves making new friends. For everyone's safety, he is neutered and kept completely up-to-date on all vaccinations and routine care. About: My dog and I work from home all day and we'd love your pup to come hang out with us! I did my PhD at Johns Hopkins and now work as a remote tech professional. I have a 5-year-old lab/shepherd mix. I have babysat and fostered dogs of all shapes and sizes, including dogs with special needs. I'm the girl who takes better care of her dog than myself. I'm talkin' three 45+ minute walks a day, human-grade dog food with special toppings, and only positive reinforcement. I know how special your fur baby is and I know it can be scary to trust someone else with them--trust me, I've been there. I would treat them the exact same way I treat my own dog--with attention, care, respect, and lots of love. Your dog will be supervised at all times in a large 3BR condo with large living spaces, plenty of toys and places to lounge. Oh--and a goofy furry friend named Trevor! I work from home and keep a pretty typical schedule--my dog and I go for a 30-45 min walk around 7:30 AM, a 45-90 min walk around 4PM, and then a 30-45 min walk around 8PM. In between, he lounges while I work with breaks for cuddles and play. I would adjust walking lengths to your dog's needs and can do more potty and play breaks if needed! I have a large 3BR condo with a large living area, study (where I work), and dining area. Dogs are allowed on my couch and bed but there are also dog beds in nearly every room. My kitchen has a door and my pantry has a door that I keep closed so your dog wont get into any food they're not supposed to.

“Fantastic!! Shannon watched my one year old very anxious puppy, Luna. I was very nervous Luna wouldn’t settle, but Shannon took the time to allow Luna to open up to her. Within 30 minutes of dropping Luna off I had picture updates and text updates! She continued with many pictures and messages to keep me in the loop of how Lunas day was going. Shannon was so sweet and kind, relieving any nerves I had. She was able to work with my nervous pup and keep her happy! I was so grateful for Shannon’s patience and expert care. She also administered eye drops to my pup who has some eye problems. I felt completely at easy knowing Shannon was diligently watching over my pup. I plan to use Shannon again and again anytime I’m out of time!”
