About: 10 years fostering dogs with a local shelter—puppies, medical cases, reactive dogs, seniors, and the shy ones who need extra patience. My favorites are large dogs and blockheads (staffies, rotties, pit mixes), though a small dog sneaks in now and then (frenchies, Havanese, corgi, etc). I'm new to Rover but not to petsitting. If a dog needs shorter, lower-key outings, we do on-leash trips to the park right behind the house. About: In college, I helped my friend raise a seeing-eye dog in training for two years. We had him from the time he was 6 weeks old until he went back to the Seeing Eye at 1 and 1/2 years. This gave me experience training puppies, and since the Seeing Eye had strict standards, I can be as tough or as gentle as you need. I love also playing or just hanging out with dogs, so however energetic or relaxed you dog is, I can handle it. Since college, I have watched friends's dogs from anywhere between quick walks to overnight stays. I am a law school graduate currently studying for the bar exam. My schedule is pretty flexible as I set my hours, so I am pretty available throughout the week. I am available some weekends as well! Above all, I am a very neat person and will respect you space if I come to care for your pet in your home. I will happily clean up any messes that come up with taking care of your dog, and I will put everything away before I leave. Each dog has their own set of expectations, so I am adaptable to each dog’s need. I work from home full time and I have a flexible schedule. They clearly know a lot about handling dogs and have lots of experience! we felt very comfortable knowing she was taken care of so well! Ginnie sent updates and pictures daily which were very reassuring. Also we had to extend our trip for a day and Ginnie and her husband were very accommodating and flexible!
