I have two dogs of my own, ages 5 and 9mo who were both raised from puppies, so I have basic puppy training and grooming skills. I also have experience with dogs who need regular medication or who have specialized/specific diets. I am open to caring for any pets except birds, special needs/sensitive reptiles, and insects. I am currently a student at Penn State and I am looking for summer job in my hometown. I would most likely be free at almost any time during the week and would be open to over night stays as well with prior notice. I would be open to set a meeting with you and your pet before house sitting or check-in dates to discuss schedules and specifics as well as to meet your pet. I am currently unable to sit at my own house. My contact info will be provided and I will be available for call at all points during my care for your pet.
About: I’ve taken care of a variety of pets for friends and family. I care for our pets’ emotional health in addition to physical health. I like to make sure our pets get a lot of mental stimulation. I’ve helped with training puppies, bathing dogs and introducing new pets to each other (cats and dogs). My husband and I both work from home so we spend most of our time with our pets at home. We also enjoy training sessions and setting up puppy play dates with our pups. For our cats we have food puzzles for their mental stimulation. Our pets are a part of our family! We spend most of our time playing and snuggling with them. We also enjoy spending time learning each of their personalities.

I previously worked at a veterinary hospital, where I cared for pets in a kennel setting and assisted with appointments, giving me experience with animals of all sizes, ages, and personalities, and also currently furthering my vet med education. I’m available for pet care in the mornings before work and am home around 4 PM, giving me plenty of time for walks, playtime, feeding, and attention in the afternoons and evenings. My weekends are generally free and give me additional flexibility for longer visits and overnight stays. I’m happy to follow each pet’s usual routine and make sure they receive the care, exercise, and companionship they need.
