“Shadow had thee best time staying with Seyla! I was able to really enjoy my trip knowing my dog was in great hands and being kept abreast of the walks and feedings definitely gave me peace of mind. Shadow got to socialize with other dogs and got plenty of daily exercise! Because he was walked in the woods and forest, he did bring home about 5 or 6 ticks but I will get him on a preventative in hopes that it will help for future visits with Seyla. About: Working with animals has always been my passion. Right now I'm going to school to get my veterinary technician license. I have 2 pets of my own, Pepper and Teddy ages 8 and 6. I am comfortable feeding, administering medications. I will check fence or gates before letting a dog outside. Before leaving, I'll make sure to lock the doors and do one last check. Making sure the area the dog will stay in is clean and check that all trash can lids are locked, no food is on the counters, and that any gates or crate are secure.

I have always had dogs growing up I currently have a two year old Pitbull named Dozer and he is like having a toddler. I enjoy taking him to dog parks and dog beaches, he loves other dogs and people. We enjoy long walks to sniff all the smells and meet all the new dogs and humans. About: Growing up, my mom has always had at least 6 cats in the house and 2 dogs since i was the age of 10. I learned from my mom and sister to help take care of our pets and how to take care of them. My friends and acquaintances know how loving my family is of animals so I was always the one they called if they needed pet care. “Jessica and Nick have been watching Sara Mae during the workday for a couple of months now. Sara Mae's DaDa died just this past April and she had to move from a nice home in Charlottesville with a big porch and yard, to live with me in a DC apartment. She is a fairly anxious dog to begin with, and as you can imagine under tremendous stress and depression the past few months, getting sick a lot and not eating, especially when I had to return to work. She went from nearly 65lbs at her healthy weight, to 45lbs in two months. Since staying with Jessica and Nick during the day during the work week, she has started to calm down, is now eating again, and putting weight back on that she had lost due to depression and stress. Jessica and Nick are quite literally life savers, and I cannot thank them enough for easing my mind about Sara Mae and being a huge part of the process of helping her get to a new, healthy, normal while I have to be at work. Your fur babies are in good hands!”

About: My husband and I are blessed to have a totally fenced in home with over three acres. I decided to use this blessing to bless dogs to come and run and play. Dogs were meant to run and roam not be tied up. I so enjoy being outdoors and being around dogs. I have always had dogs even growing up with my family. While inside your pet will be allowed to be a part of household for special time and then I have a separate area where your pet will be allowed to have quite time and rest in a crate or in a area without a crate as needed.

We do provide crate training services for puppies but keep in mind our dog will need to be crated during your puppy’s stay with us. For safety we always pay close attention to your pet’s behavior and will provide updates with pictures to you!

I took care of him when his leg was amputated 5 years ago due to cancer and feel pretty good about giving meds, if necessary. Your dog will be well taken care of. About: I love all dogs! My boyfriend makes fun of me because I abandon him when there is a dog nearby that I need to go pet. I have always had dogs growing up I currently have a two year old Pitbull named Dozer and he is like having a toddler. I enjoy taking him to dog parks and dog beaches, he loves other dogs and people. We enjoy long walks to sniff all the smells and meet all the new dogs and humans. I have never met a dog that I didn’t like, being around dogs makes me so happy, watching how excited they get when they meet new people or new dogs and they get the wiggly butt going or flop down and say rub my belly.
About: I have taken care of family, friends and my own pets all my life. I am really responsible and have a love for all animals. I am very detailed oriented and I have a flexible work schedule. “Shadow had thee best time staying with Seyla! I was able to really enjoy my trip knowing my dog was in great hands and being kept abreast of the walks and feedings definitely gave me peace of mind. Shadow got to socialize with other dogs and got plenty of daily exercise! Because he was walked in the woods and forest, he did bring home about 5 or 6 ticks but I will get him on a preventative in hopes that it will help for future visits with Seyla. As a fellow dog sitter/walker myself, I highly recommend Seyla and will definitely be booking with him again in the future!!!”
