About: I've had pets since I was 9. I passed on a trip to Egypt when I was 14 because I wanted a cat instead - I got my cat she was beautiful, her name was Twinkle. I still got to Egypt when I was 18. I grew up rescuing cats and dogs from the neighborhood, hand fed 2 ginger kittens who were abandoned, took in the neighbor's neglected Springer Spaniel and was lucky to have him till he was 16, rescued another neighbor's cat, plus a pregnant stray cat who soon had a litter of 4 kittens. I love all dogs, but I have become partial to Beagles. We had our Lovely affectionate Lloyd for 14.5 years. He suffered from seizures from age 6, and I was able to modify his diet and lifestyle to lessen the seizures – I became familiar with the early signs of seizures. We still talk about Lloyd and what a character he was. We now have a rescue beagle, and she has her own unique little personality and loves her walks on Lambert's Cove Beach and her tennis balls. I have experience taking care of puppies and kittens, administering medication, and also experience with senior dogs. I work for myself, and have a flexible schedule, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups and kitties, and/or take your pups for walks. I can visit your dogs or cats in your home on a pre-arranged schedule and administer medication if needed, take them for walks, and/or to the beach.

If your pup is conditioned to expect walks, it's probably most fair to find a sitter who'll get that walk in! We love a good daytime cuddle, but we also like a good night's rest. So, your pets sleep in the living room, helping us avoid chaos while we're getting shut-eye. I feel responsible for their safety too, so if they play with dogs who are too rough, I will move along. Their happiness and comfort is literally my job!

In my day to day life I am a licensed and trained paramedic which has helped me better harness the patience and understanding often required when helping animals and their families. For those of you that have pets with boundless energy, I go for a minimum 5 mile walk daily that could only be made better by the accompaniment of your four legged family member. She told us multiple times how sweet Willow was and that she’d miss her — and we believed every word of it. And they could see that Barry was timid and would need extra attention and they made sure to provide that care. About: Lifetime raising and being around a menagerie of different creatures. Dog sizes from giant to miniature. Cats of all shapes and breed as well as exotic animals. I have a full time job that occupies my time. I do have a car on island and substantial break time for mid shift walks/ check ins. If I’m not at work I’m at the beach or curled up watching movies. I have reliable transportation on Martha’s Vineyard and am able to get to most places quickly without much hassle. I live in a beautiful home but would prefer not to board in my space at the moment given the tic issue.
