About: I’ve had cats my entire life and I work at the vets boarding facility, where we have lots of cats that I care for. I have experience with cats with various temperaments and needs

About: I took classes as a vet tech so I have experiences handling all types of cats from calm to feisty and can handle any situation calmly. I can clip their nails, feed them, and clean their litter box whether it be daily or deep clean. I also own my own cat.
About: I have a senior cat with a serious digestive and heart condition, so I’m certainly used to giving pets their proper medications, feeding at specific times, or just generally giving them the love and attention they need! I grew up with dogs, and have pet sat for friends, family and clients for years. I feel more than comfortable feeding, walking or staying with pups of any breed or size. I’ve been a sitter on Trusted Housesitters for years and have been lucky enough to let sit as far away as Berlin! I’d love the opportunity to take great care of your pets while you’re away! I have a super flexible schedule with work and can generally accommodate most days/times. I live on Martha’s Vineyard and can travel most anywhere on island to sit. My fiancé and I are more than happy to accommodate any and all let needs. With our senior cat experience, and lots of daily and overnight sitting experience, we always treat animals with kindness, patience and respect. We will always ensure animals feel comfortable in our care, and we update owners on their pets as much as possible!
About: I have been a pet sitter for the last 10 years, working for neighbors as well as for the families I was nannying for. I am committed to the dogs I am caring for and I will treat them as if they are my own. I currently work in a hotel and taking care of animals in my free time would be work that I am very passionate about. I am happy to take the dogs on walks, or host in your home. I currently work part time so I would love to fill my free time caring for animals. I spend most nights on long walks so it would be great to have a companion to keep me company. I am very responsible and trustworthy. I would treat your dog and your home as if it is my own. I am happy to feed, play, walk, go to the beach, or anything that will make the pets happy.
“Rachel did a wonderful job caring for Meloni the month I was away. She was kind, considerate, and made sure to update me when anything seemed slightly amiss with him. Highly recommend.”

About: Hi! I’m a washashore with a lifetime of dog experience. I specialize in large dogs but still love my lil barkers. I own 2 floofs Briar (the Newf) and Chloe (the midget newf) I have some grooming experience and would certainly throw in a bath if need be. We love walks, videos of our adventures (so we can send them to non furry family), and lots of brushing and belly rubs. I will do off leash walks in safe environments and will do leash walks in town to socialize and get an occasional “frosty paw.” I am still on my journey to be a full time dog groomer and my biggest concern is for the animal to be happy and comfortable. I currently work part time for my husband’s tour business so this keeps me busy when I am not selling tour tickets and admin work I have a fenced in yard so if the dog park seems a little too busy or your pup jest needs to burn some energy they have a full acre to do so.

About: I've taken care of my own and other people's cats for decades. I provide excellent, loving care to kittens, senior cats and all ages between. I have certifications in animal behavior and I can administer medication if necessary (depending on the patient's temperament). My services are limited to Martha's Vineyard. A recent endorsement from a current cat care client: "Jeni has been a part of our cat care for many years when we travel. She is reliable, on time, and she cares. I never worry about my 3 cats when she is coming in to feed and look after them. She often sends pictures and updates. It's always comforting to see." - Judy and Larry in West Tisbury
About: I adore dogs and have been a consistent pet and home sitter for several families on Martha’s Vineyard over the last 8 years. I am tidy, responsible, and take care of pets as if they were my own. I love to take daily long walks (3-5 miles) and the companionship of a dog makes this personal routine so much more fun. It’s not possible for me to have a pup of my own in my current housing so getting to spend time with other dogs brings me so much joy. Work freelance as a henna artist and with a catering company on island. I have a varied work schedule with most mornings open, happy to try to make your pet care needs fit into my day. I’m a great communicator and will always make sure I fully understand the needs of your home and pet before I agree to a job. I want us both to have a clear understanding and expectation of the level of care required so that everyone is comfortable. I am very respectful and mindful that every pet and home is unique, the details matter to me.
“Kassie is spectacular! This is our first time doing drop in visits on Rover for our boys! As soon as we met her our minds were put to rest of what to expect. She knew exactly what to do when she came in. Our Jet and Copper adore her! She gave our guys lots of love, pets and play time! She picked up after them and send us photos of them having a great time. It was an easy seamless experience! Definitely will be reaching back out to her in the future! You can see how much she truly loves dogs and how much they love her back!! :)”

“100% confidence, Ruby loves dogs and treats them like family. She sent a couple of photos during the day, which was just enough to know all was ok. She took Sam and her dogs to a dog park, and a long walk and Sam loved being with her dogs. Thank you Ruby for taking such good care of Sam!”

“Kayla was absolutely wonderful and I will use her services again! She was sweet and caring with my dog, and the dog was very happy with her. I had a family reunion and every day was a different schedule. Kayla was so flexible and accommodating to my needs. She had excellent communication and response to my texts. A great experience!”

“Rachel was very responsive, sent feedback and pictures and was flexible about pickup and drop off times. She lives in a quiet neighborhood great for walks and got my dog out for 2 of them! My shy dog seemed to settle in and get comfortable with her and Andrew. Overall I was very happy with her care and I plan to use her again”

“Daniella was fantastic!!! She was very communicative, sent regular updates on our pup (including pics) and was flexible with timing. She even picked him up and dropped him off at our location. She paid great attention to our pup’s needs (he’s a Frenchie who can’t handle long walks or long exposure to heat) and he came back to us healthy and happy. I would highly recommend and use her again!”

“I highly recommend Julia and Bryan. I recently started a new job, and they were able to accommodate my schedule to provide daycare for my dog. They are very responsive to messages and took great care of my dog. They sent photos throughout the day too!”

“we were looking for a home close by to our house where Quinnie could have some time to interact with other dogs in a safe and living environment. Jackie‘s home was perfect for what we were looking for. A large securely fenced yard plus a dog door. Quinnie seemed very comfortable with Jackie, her husband and their three adorable dogs. She spent six hours there and came home tuckered out, but she seemed very happy with the day. Jackie was very attentive and kept us informed. We would very highly recommend her!”

“Maria is amazing with animals and humans! She provided exceptional care to our Frenchie, Evie. She listened carefully to our request and was able to meet our needs with ease. Maria has fantastic attention to details and her updates during the day provided worried dog parents great comfort. Her home and property provides a doggie sanctuary. Maria went above and beyond when we asked for our little one to get a bath. Our Evie, never had it so good ( a blueberry facial)!!! She came home cleaned, trimmed and soft as could be. I would not hesitate to use Maria’s services again and I can’t recommend her highly enough. You and your four-legged friend is in great hands and care with Maria!”

“Kathleen was a delight for me and my dog. It was a last-minute booking. So having never met my dog before drop-off, she took time for my dog to get comfortable with her before I left. And then she sent almost a dozen pictures and videos while I was away for about seven hours. She also sent several updates (and compliments) about my dog, so I didn’t even have to wonder if everything was going well. She obviously loves dogs.”

“Austin was Amazing! He took Coco at the last minute and helped me through my first use of Rover. I appreciate him so much! He treated Coco so well and sent pictures during the day. Austin was very patient with puppy behaviors and was polite and respectful during our time with him. I felt safe leaving our puppy with Austin and would recommend him highly.”

“Collin went above and beyond taking care of our Cockapoo Jackson. Jackson is 12 and we have seldom left him with others overnight, so we were a little nervous. Jackson was so well cared for, he had a great time, and we received several photos and videos throughout both days. Collin was great!!”

“Sam was great for our two goldens! Sam and his wife were kind from the get go and accepted both dogs into their house with open arms. We would certainly book again with them!”

“We had such a great experience using Eric to watch our dog Floyd while we explored Cape Cod! He was very accommodating with drop off and pick up times, and a great communicator regarding what he was doing while watching Floyd. It was extremely hot for the days he was with Floyd and Eric was very conscientious about not letting Floyd get overheated, and also about checking him for the nasty ticks that are so common on the Cape. I would highly recommend Eric and will definitely use him again when we come back to the Cape!”

“First visit for Otis was a success! Rebecca was awesome dealing with our dogs anxiety in "new" places. Her and her children treated him like one of the family. Thanks guys. Ps: The pictures are a great touch.”

About: I wasn’t allowed to have a dog when I was growing up, I became the neighborhood dog walker! Once I moved out I’ve had dogs ever since. I would be happy to adapt to your pets schedule. In the past my dogs are allowed on the furniture, and have been crate trained. I’ll follow any directions that you give. I am comfortable giving dogs medicine.

Clean spaces, constant supervision, and a whole lot of love ensure your pet’s comfort and security.
About: I have had cats and dogs my whole life, At present, I have a senior mixed breed dog named Ozzie whom we adopted from the local shelter 13 years ago. He has trust issues, fear aggression, and separation anxiety so he has needed a lot of TLC but he is a great dog, with a huge heart. Once you are in his "pack", he will love you for life! Our 9 year old cat, Mist, was adopted from the HART Organization in ME 9 years ago. She is a dog in her alter ego and is simply a love. They both are happy, loved, and spoiled pets! Additionally, I have cared for many friends cats and dogs over the years. I currently work part time from home. I have a lot of flexibility. I can do pet visits, feedings, and dog walks. I am usually available Monday - Fridays, after 9am. At this time, I am not available to take care of pets in my home or at client's. I am looking for daytime dog walks or pet check-ins.
About: Beyond being a dog owner myself to my beloved rescue Jordi, I've also taken more dog sitting jobs than I can count. I LOVE dogs! I like to go the extra mile by taking dogs on extra long walks and adventures, always administering their medication at the correct time, giving dogs extra love and cuddles, and always keeping the house super neat and tidy. I already walk my own dog twice a day, and he loves walking with a friend! If you need a drop in visit or occasional help with a dog walk, it's already a part of my routine. Of course I do not need to bring my own dog, but if your dog enjoys the companionship of other dogs, it could be a great option! I am not allowed to have any more pets other than my own where I am currently living so I will not be able to board your dog, only house sit. Thanks for understanding.
“Sonja was truly amazing! She is nice, trustworthy, friendly and always goes above and beyond to care for my puppy! My puppy is truly happy when she sees Sonja for her daily walks!”

About: ***AVAILABLE ON MARTHAS VINEYARD ONLY*** - Intermittently on Nantucket but dates of availability only reflect that of MV. Please inquire with a message for Nantucket :) My experience with animals began as a child both with family pets and horseback riding. Being on the farm at such a young age instilled in me a love for animals that has only grown over the years. It also allowed me a front row seat to better understanding animals and their individual behaviors. Throughout the years, I have become proficient in medication administration and personalized feedings scheduled and requirements. I have also been privileged to be around animals of all kinds and ages and I look forward to providing your young and senior pets with the extra love and attention they require and deserve. In my day to day life I am a licensed and trained paramedic which has helped me better harness the patience and understanding often required when helping animals and their families. For those of you that have pets with boundless energy, I go for a minimum 5 mile walk daily that could only be made better by the accompaniment of your four legged family member. I look forward to meeting you and your perfect pets! I currently work part time as a paramedic which allows for a lot of freedom and flexibility in my schedule to help you and your pet. As I will be watching your pet in the comfort of your home- I will always want to know what helps them adjust to change best in your absence. How can I make them, and you, feel more comfortable? What toys do they love? What types of check ins work best for you and what information do you prefer to be kept up to date on? Does your pet have any health history or allergies? What ever you think will make this experience best for you and your pet is information I would love to be made aware of!

Was so grateful to her and will definitely be contacting again!”

“Sam and his wife were just what my older German shepherd girl needed to feel comfortable. She had wake at her pace , got to go to the beach and found a comfy chair to sleep in. About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life since I was 3 years old, and caring for them comes naturally to me. I have hands on experience with large breeds and am confident handling bigger dogs with different energy levels. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and understand the importance of patience, comfort as they age. I put a lot of love and care into every pet I watch. I know how important it is to trust someone with your fur baby, so I treat every dog as if they were my own. Making sure they feel safe, loved, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I currently work full time but have a flexible schedule where I work from home somedays. My partner also works 5 minutes from our house and is able to help with potty breaks during the day. We spend a lot of time in our yard or walking the canal on nice days and would love a wagging tail to join us. We have a fenced in yard and live in a quiet neighborhood to go on walks. We love to go to the canal and spend time outside. We have a fully finished basement with mini splits and air circulation system, perfect for any size dog to enjoy!
