About: I've had pets since I was 9. I passed on a trip to Egypt when I was 14 because I wanted a cat instead - I got my cat she was beautiful, her name was Twinkle. I still got to Egypt when I was 18. I grew up rescuing cats and dogs from the neighborhood, hand fed 2 ginger kittens who were abandoned, took in the neighbor's neglected Springer Spaniel and was lucky to have him till he was 16, rescued another neighbor's cat, plus a pregnant stray cat who soon had a litter of 4 kittens. I love all dogs, but I have become partial to Beagles. We had our Lovely affectionate Lloyd for 14.5 years. He suffered from seizures from age 6, and I was able to modify his diet and lifestyle to lessen the seizures – I became familiar with the early signs of seizures. We still talk about Lloyd and what a character he was. We now have a rescue beagle, and she has her own unique little personality and loves her walks on Lambert's Cove Beach and her tennis balls. I have experience taking care of puppies and kittens, administering medication, and also experience with senior dogs. I work for myself, and have a flexible schedule, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups and kitties, and/or take your pups for walks. We keep our boarding price more than reasonable to give folks the financial bandwidth to spend their vacation money on their vacation--not on boarding their pets. We are both contract workers with flexible schedules, and Taylor is often able to work from home so your pets will have plenty of companionship! So we told you our mission-- There's a few ways this translates. We have a huge yard. So, we don't take your pups on walks. BUT. We play fetch, tug of war, and intentionally initiate zoomies. If your pup is conditioned to expect walks, it's probably most fair to find a sitter who'll get that walk in! We love a good daytime cuddle, but we also like a good night's rest. So, your pets sleep in the living room, helping us avoid chaos while we're getting shut-eye. We kindly ask that if you book with us, that you're confident your doggies can sleep out on their own without too much fuss! We have an array of options for creating ideal environments for your pets, with baby gates, a large yard that can be segmented for dogs needing smaller spaces or space from others, and multiple kennels. Being on the farm at such a young age instilled in me a love for animals that has only grown over the years. About: I love dogs and grew up with them! I have 2+ years doing long term dog sitting for the same family. I watched them for around 20 days each month. I loved their dogs like my own! Your dogs will be safe and happy with me. They are my top priority. I make sure they get exercise and lots of love. I always send picture and updates. For example, dogs who eat rocks may require a face mask for walks, dogs with sensitive stomachs, etc. I set alarms for their meals and keep a consistent walk/play routine. I feel responsible for their safety too, so if they play with dogs who are too rough, I will move along. Their happiness and comfort is literally my job!
