I have a solid connection with our local vet and emergency animal hospital and am able to handle dogs who need shots or medications administered. I work from home and have several pets already needing care. Bathroom breaks, walks, ball throwing, catnip time, all of it already happens in my home. We have several pet fences within our home and a puppy proof first floor. If a pet is okay of leash then we walk them around our 4 acres throwing a ball or whatever the pet likes. If a pet is not okay off leash, then we just walk them on a leash on our land every 1.5 or 2 hours or as needed. Water bowls are everywhere, no chemicals are on site within reach of curious puppies, and no cars move very quickly on our driveway and everyone who does arrive at our home knows we have several pets and need to slow down. We have owned dogs for over 25 years and have never had any of our pets get injured.

About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was able to walk. My family has had four incredibly well-behaved labradors and I trained the latter two. Anything from basset hounds to gargantuan huskies have spent countless hours at our house we called Camp Dog. I can train younger dogs and take care of the older ones which makes me a prime candidate for just about any dog-care position. I am a college graduate who desperately needs to fill my time and get exercise. This wonderful job lets me check both of those boxes while working with animals! There is a small fenced in area at our property but for the best experience for the pets I will definitely be taking them to the nearby parks. “Emily did a wonderful job with our special needs cat, Dakota. Dakota is paralyzed in the back after having been hit by a car years ago. He gets around ok dragging his back legs but he has to have his bladder expressed three times a day. Emily had experience doing this in the past (I think in some kind of vet assistant capacity or something like that) and successfully managed Dakota when we went out of town for a few days. Dakota stayed at Emily's house with her cats and it all worked out fine. Emily's house is so cat friendly with cat climbing things all around and Emily even mentioned that down the road she might have cat grass (that our cat loves to eat) since she grows it herself. We were also happy that Emily was fine with us leaving all Dakota's regular collection of favorite things: his little cat house, cat bed, and even the ramp we made for him to climb up on couches. It was so nice for us to think of Dakota in a friendly home rather than in a cage at the vet. We loved how Emily was great about communicating both in terms of photos showing Dakota was doing well and also asking intelligent questions to make sure the expressing of the bladder was going well. When we picked Dakota up, he was in fine shape and clearly had been well-taken-care of. We'll definitely use Emily again!”

About: Parents Jessica and Philip are the responsible adults guaranteeing that your dog will get everything they need, but 13-year-old Josie is the primary caretaker of our dog guests. She is a very attentive, loving and engaged pet pal! Since we started on Rover as a summer job for Josie in 2023, we have hosted dogs of all sizes, energy levels and needs and she loved every single one of them. She gets up early every day (whether or not she is caring for a dog) so she often gives the pups their first walk of the day before anyone else has gotten out of bed. In spring of 2023 Josie rescued an Eastern Phoebe (songbird) that was pushed out of its nest and injured; she fed it dry cat food soaked in sugar water and set it free a week later as a robust young fledgling (see pictures). On weekends and school vacations, Josie has little to do other than care for your dog! We are early risers. Our calendar has school days blocked off, but we would consider boarding a dog during the school week if its needs match Josie's availability so please inquire. Both parents work mostly or fully from home and could manage a midday walk for a quiet dog. Jessica is an elementary teacher and education administrator who is accustomed to carrying great responsibility for the safety of precious smaller beings. She closely supervises Josie as the primary caregiver. Our home is in the woods with access to Mt. Toby trails so your pup will get to enjoy the outdoors several times a day. Sometimes dogs who are anxious in the busy neighborhoods of their homes are much calmer when they come to our quiet, wooded setting. We have a flock of chickens in an enclosed outdoor area.
About: I am a lifelong dog person with a large fenced yard and miles of trails out my back dog. A tired dog is a happy dog. Unless I am traveling myself I am extremely flexible and available. I will let you know if I will need to spend more than a few hours away from your pet before booking a stay. I think it’s important for pets to keep to their normal routine while their people are away. A little extra attention and affection also helps ease the stress of separation. I have a pretty mellow disposition and enjoy cuddling with a furry friend while reading or watching a show.

About: I've had many different pets including dogs and cats! Experienced with different ages and needs including medications, behavioral, and sizes. Available for boarding, drop in, and walks I currently work mostly from home so I'm flexible for boarding and daytime visits. Love taking long walks and spending time at home with animals. Happy to take dogs on long walks and nature adventures with permission. I have cats and rabbits at home as well. I also have separate space for boarding or day care. Looking for consistent clients to build lasting relationships between me and your pet(s), as well as any last minute needs from new clients.
About: I've been house and pet sitting for ten years plus, besides that I've been an owner of many dogs and cats. There is nothing that makes me happier than the well-being of them. When you choose me for the care of your fur babies, they'll be taken care of to the maximum comfort and standard. I'm flexible in that I work remotely... So i huge amount of the time i will be around to cater to your pets. And also will be able to walk them often and keep them stimulated I'll make sure their safety and the environment they're in are safe and nurturing. If it's the owner's house I won't change a thing, if it's my house I'll have them have access to all that they would have at their home.
About: Hello, my name is Greg and I am here to take excellent care of your best friend! I have a 5-year-old cattle dog named Sid and had three family labradors growing up. I have also cared for my friends and families dogs and cats as well. I have a flexible schedule and live an active lifestyle. In my free time I enjoy hiking or being on or around a body of water. I also like to travel when time allows it. I have wide open availability to care for your pet and cannot wait to make some new canine companions! I’m currently working part-time and have a lot of open availability. My daily routine with Sid consists of daily walks and plenty of fetch. On nice days I like to go for a hike. I have a big yard and live next to a wide open field. I have a 5-year-old cattle dog to keep your dog company. If it so happens they don’t get along it is possible for me to keep them separated.

About: I have taken care of animals since I was little. Home pets mostly. But also my neighbors dog. I love any kind of animal Cats, dogs, bunnies, birds all!! I am currently retired and am free most days and nights. I have 2 grandchildren and big helpers! About: Working in various Grooming/Training facilities. I'm currently working with Bumblebee Pet Care with 5 of my own clients. My conversations with the pets are amazing. I'm currently walking dogs 2 days out of the week looking for more to work with within the week. I have an open schedule and interested. I have separate spaces available for each animal. In my care at anytime, I will use provided equipment for transportation. Your pet safety is number one.
About: I have trained my dog since she was a puppy and love spending time outside with her. I love to stay active with the pups but also enjoy relaxing and providing pets. I’m currently a full time student at Umass Amherst but I am home in Southampton in the summer and would love to help out! About: As a child, I owned almost every pet imaginable - from house cats to Rottweilers to lizards to ferrets! Bless my poor mother's heart - we practically had a small zoo at our house! As an adult I owned a cat for 5 years and also "dog /cat sat" for friends and families many times. I'm an all-around animal lover who is comfortable with many different types of pet care. I'm a stay-at-home mom with a four year old. Please be advised that if I pet-sit overnight at your home, my daughter will most likely be accompanying me for at least part of the job assignment. If you aren’t comfortable having well-behaved, well-supervised children at your home, then unfortunately I’m not a good fit your you. I have plenty of flexibility on both weekdays and weekends to provide care for your pets. I live in a pet-friendly house with a fenced-in back yard. The neighborhood is quiet and safe for walks. I also have access to a nearby park.
About: I’ve taken care of dog of many sizes and health conditions, I have had a cat for 9ish years and have cared for friend and families dogs for years. I am a student, I am relatively free but lots of work to do! I like to go on walks already! I am able to be flexible. I know how to feed animals and care for them, can follow special instructions as I know they are important. As much as I would love to care for your fur baby at my home, I cannot.

About: I waitress, have taken care of seniors and am a certified yoga instructor. I have had cats, dogs, chicks, fish, hamsters. I currently do not own any pets. Pets to me are precious friends who are to be taken care of like children. With full attention, support and love. I work from home so I am able to provide that kind of care. I work from home (virtually) and can accommodate boarding weekdays and weekends. I keep a clean and tidy home and have a gorgeous park very close by.
