“Sue is wonderful! My dogs and I got to meet Sue and her dogs before she boarded them. She really is patient with my little dogs and understands their behaviors. One of my dogs is very anxious and barks a lot. She dealt with it well and realized he was just unsure of the environment. My 6 pound Pomeranian took a few days to warm up to her but in the end she did. Sue didn’t push herself on my dog and just let my pup come to her. She took special care to walk them and make them feel as comfortable in their new environment. Sue also took time each day to send me photos and texts so I knew they were ok. I have already booked her for two more weeks this summer. I recommend her with your dogs too. It is obvious she loves and enjoys dogs.”

About: As a child, I was the neighborhood pet sitter. As an adult, I have vast experience caring for animals. For 25 years, I did pet sitting and house sitting in the Boston area before moving to Puerto Rico 13 years ago. The first month I lived there, I found a box of kittens in the road. I have been a rescuer since, being one of few who take on the most challenging cases. I have saved hundreds, if not thousands, of dogs and cats over the years and I have seen it all. Nothing intimidates me or grosses me out. I will give baths, dispense medications, clean up accidents, whatever is needed. I am 58 years old and am very reliable and trustworthy. I am 58 years old and do not work anymore so my availability is wide open. I do sometimes go to Puerto Rico where I am in the process of selling my home but the dates for those trips are flexible. I generally find that caring for pets in their own home is ideal as they really do appreciate routine, stability, and a familiar environment. However, I am certainly willing to care for them in my home as well and offer a fully fenced in back yard for dogs. There is an 11 lb dog at my house but he is used to cats and dogs coming and going so he should not pose a problem (or I can separate them, if preferred). In terms of routine, I am willing to adapt to whatever you have established and have no problem with giving medications, baths, or any other special care needed. With 13 years of rescuing in Puerto Rico and 25 years of pet care before that, I have seen it all (and nothing grosses me out!). If you like frequent updates and photos, no problem. If you like to relax and not think about home when you are away, no problem. Your beloved pets are in safe, loving hands.

About: I rescued our family dog 4 years ago, he is now 10 years old. Yes, we rescued a Senior. We love him! For the past year we (my daughters and I) decided to foster dogs until they were adopted. We had rescued over a dozen and continue to do so. I want to continue my love for dogs with adding current pawrents and caring for their pets. I am a non-traditional college student, and work part time. I have time to add pet care to the mix. I don't work on the weekends. I have leashes to walk the dogs. About: I got my first dog when I was 5 years old. Now, I have three dogs total, each with their own unique personalities. I love taking them on walks and making them homemade treats. I am used to taking care of dogs of all ages since I have raised mine from when they were puppies , to adulthood. I have also recently adopted a kitten so I’ve been gaining experience with caring for cats as well. I am currently taking an online summer class, so I have plenty of free time. About: I am athletic and have always grown up around animals. I work at a pet boarding/daycare facility that allows me to get additional experience. With that being said, I have handled several breeds including different diets. I have handled Yorkies to Mastiffs and love them all! Puppies are the show stoppers but tend to lose control at times so I am willing to work on standard obedience commands as well. I’d be more than happy to play according to the dogs ability and health. I understand how important it is that animals receive their medications and meals at a timely manner. About: I rescued our family dog 4 years ago, he is now 10 years old. Yes, we rescued a Senior. We love him! For the past year we (my daughters and I) decided to foster dogs until they were adopted. We had rescued over a dozen and continue to do so. I want to continue my love for dogs with adding current pawrents and caring for their pets. I am a non-traditional college student, and work part time. I have time to add pet care to the mix. I don't work on the weekends. I have leashes to walk the dogs. I don't have a fenced in yard, but I do have a long runner that the dog feels free. Even though I would be more inclined to going to your home.
