“So glad we found Brooke!!! We had deferred family vacations out of driving distance for the past two years because we no longer had family nearby who could watch our pups. That has all changed now. Rover.com was recommended by a friend and truthfully I was a bit hesitant until I met Brooke. She responded so quickly to my messages when I was exploring sitters and as soon as the pups met her I knew this would be a great match. She treated our girls like family, letting them nap on the furniture (just like at home), taking them for walks and playing fetch. She sent us pictures each day of the dogs and it made us feel so much more at ease seeing they were being loved on. I can not say enough kind things about Brooke and her family and I highly recommend her. She went exceedingly above what was necessary and we will certainly be calling on her again!”

“Irene has been such a great find in the Berkshires! She always gives helpful communication with each stay, and Ruby seems to love her time with Irene (and her sweet dog Goldie). Thanks for all of the care that you give to Ruby - we'll see you soon!”

About: I waitress, have taken care of seniors and am a certified yoga instructor. I have had cats, dogs, chicks, fish, hamsters. I currently do not own any pets. Pets to me are precious friends who are to be taken care of like children. With full attention, support and love. I work from home so I am able to provide that kind of care. I work from home (virtually) and can accommodate boarding weekdays and weekends. I keep a clean and tidy home and have a gorgeous park very close by. Pet care fits in my routine as I used to have a cat until recently. I care for pets with respect and integrity. Showing them love and care. Keeping them and the area around them clean. Accommodating to their needs by always keeping an eye for out for them.
“Yenifer took excellent care of my dog. He was so happy with her! She made sure she communicated everyday with us during the stay, sent us pictures and updates. We are very happy with her services and would strongly recommend her. Thank you, Yenifer.”

“Tetiana was amazing with our two older Tibetan spaniels. She sent us tons of photos and kept us updated on their care. She was very accommodating and took care of our dogs like her own. Would 100% recommend!”

“Thanks to Rebecca, we enjoyed an amazing concert on our vacation and didn't worry about our dog for a second. She put me at ease before I ever met her. She happily anwered my questions and she asked questions that showed me that she really wanted to make our dog's stay pleasant. Her warmth and love for dogs was apparent as soon as I met her. And it was apparent to my dog, too-- she immediately connected to her. I told Rebecca that our dog loves to play fetch, and Rebecca played fetch with her as we drove away. While we were at our concert, Rebecca texted me to let me know our dog was doing great. She told us that our dog was playing with her dogs and that she and her husband had taken all three on a walk. She also sent along a few photos. When we went to pick our dog up, she was happy. to see us but didn't run to our car. She went back to Rebecca-- maybe to say goodbye! We had such a wonderful time at our concert and it was all thanks to Rebecca. We will definitely book her again! And we know our dog will be thrilled to see her!!”

“Katelynn and her pet family and small 6 month old were and are amazing to have your beloved pet taken care of!! Copine settled in right away. I got a daily update with pics! Could not be happier with how the pet sitting went for my beautiful pup!”

Kathleen does a wonderful job at keeping you updated through the stay with a ton of fun photos. My dog was so happy during and when we picked her up. Highly recommend!”

“We would not hesitate to use Jennifer again. She was very attentive and conscientious to our requests in caring for our senior dog, including medications. She was very loving and kind and made our dog feel very much at home. Jennifer was very communicative and responsive before and during Jessie’s stay. We appreciated knowing that all was well while we were away.”

About: I have pet/house sat multiple times over the past several years for friends and family, and have worked in animal shelters and a local doggy daycare, from small critters like guinea pigs and ferrets, cats, and even large dog breeds. I also have 2 years experience volunteering for a local shelter in socialization and vet transport, 3 years experience working for a doggy daycare and boarding facility, and I currently work part time for another local animal shelter. I am an experienced owner of dogs, cats, ferrets, chickens, guinea pigs, and more. I also have experience as a wedding dog handler, and would be happy to offer this service if requested so your furry companion can accompany you on your special day without any added stress. I currently work part time so I have lots of time to play with your pup, and hopefully can build savings towards a larger space to meet more people's needs! I am always looking to learn, grow, and provide better care for animals. Animal welfare is very important to me. At this point in time, due to the space I'm only able to accommodate smaller breeds that generally can get along with others. I do have a small fenced in yard, but I also have the bike trail and nearby hiking trails readily available, your dog will need to be on leash at all times when outside on walks/hikes, I do not provide "off-leash" trail experience as a safety precaution, thank you for your understanding! I am happy to provide pictures and updates of your pup whenever requested, please never be afraid to reach out!
“Both of our dogs were calm and relaxed after a 4-day stay. James was attentive to all of their needs and was very kind. His roomates were a bonus, because someone was almost always around to hang out with our dogs! Thanks James, we will be back!”
“Franny took wonderful care of my 14 year old Charlie overnight. She’s a very kind person and Charlie felt completely comfortable with her. He also got along well with her dog. I will definitely be using her again.”

About: I've taken care of cats since I was 15 years old and have learned that every cat has their own unique personality, comfort level, and routine. Over the years, I've become skilled at recognizing cats needs, respecting their space, and creating a calm, loving environment where they feel secured and cared for.
“Emily was great! I scheduled last minute and she came over for a meet and greet the day before I went away. She totally understood the sometimes tricky dynamic of my pups and went above and beyond when she came over. Communication was great, and got a full report with pics after her drop-in. I would definitely hire her again…. And plan on it!”

“Dana stayed at our house for a week while we were traveling and gave our cats exceptional care. We appreciated getting daily updates with photos and could tell that our two sociable cats loved their time with her. We're also grateful that she went the extra mile in trying to help our most shy cat feel comfortable. We highly recommend Dana for pet care!”

“Yenifer and her family did an excellent job! PeeWee got lots of attention and he seemed so happy at the end of the day. We will definitely use Yenifer again on our next visit.”

“Tetiana and her family have a loving, welcoming home and environment. We were met with smiles, shown around and we felt very comfortable leaving our pup. The communication during the booking process was great, as I had a number of questions. Tetiana was responsive and thorough. We found written Q&A better than a call. They were flexible with how we prefer care, food, exercise, rest, etc. We received nice pictures, videos and notes ... even though our stay was only 2 days. We will use Tetiana again when we have a need in the Berkshires, and I'd feel comfortable with longer if needed (and agreed upon). Each member of the family was fast friends with our dog.”

“Jess took great care of my pup and sent me lots of pics and updates throughout the day! She has a sweet dog, and her dog and mine played together all day. Uva came home fed, healthy and tired! Thank you Jess!”

About: I've taken care of many dogs for family and friends. I have been house and dog sitting regularly for the same family twice a year since 2007 and through word of mouth have picked up many more clients that would happily give a reference if requested. I feed fish and small pets and I'm happy to hang out with cats, spiders, and snakes too. I work full time for a very flexible boss, so getting home to let pets out on breaks and lunch isn't an issue. Once home for the day I tend not to leave so pets will be well cared for and I'll be very present for them. I don't trust letting any pet off leash while outside unless in a fenced in yard. I'm overprotective to a fault. I have sat on a kitchen floor for 45 minutes letting a dog bark at me while getting used to having me around.
“Sandi was the absolute best dog sitter! Giddy was so excited to go to doggy daycare every day and was tuckered out by the time I picked him up. He loved spending time with Copa and getting to play outside often. He even got some healthy snacks! If I’m ever back in the area I will definitely we calling Sandi! Her whole family was lovely. We’ll miss y’all!”

“Bruno had a wonderful time at Kathleen's beautiful place! The fully-fenced in green space for the dogs was so peaceful I wanted to stay myself. Kathleen has a calming manner which the dogs respond well too. I am contemplating more trips to the Berkshires now that I know Bruno has a safe place where he will be happy and well taken care of while I spend time at Jacob's Pillow or museums. Thank you!”

About: My name is Jessica and I am a caring and fun person who has been caring for dogs since I was seven years old! Now I am 24 years old and do not have a dog anymore but still enjoy spending time with my friends pets and I dog sit for my neighbors. I am very active so I enjoy taking dogs on walks and hikes. I live walking distance from a lake. If the dog I am taking care of feels comfortable in water then I will splash around with the dog in the lake (there are dirt roads in this area to walk the dog on too). I have had experience with a wide variety of breeds, so I feel pretty comfortable with any dog. I understand caring for a dog is similar to caring for a child. I am trustworthy and loving towards animals! I recently passed my board exam so now I am relaxing for some time & will begin my job hunt in February, 2022. Therefore, caring for a pet will fit perfectly into my current flexible daily routine. I do not live with any other pets & I create a safe environment by keeping the dog on the first level of my home only. On the first level I make sure that there are no hazards for the dog. In a client's home, I follow all of their reccomendations in order to keep the pet as comfortable & safe as possible.
About: I bring a unique level of structure, energy, and reliability to pet care through my experience as a college coach. My daily work revolves around building routines, paying attention to small details, and making sure individuals are supported and performing at their best — and I carry that same approach into caring for dogs. I am highly dependable and organized, so you can trust that your dog’s schedule, feeding routine, and exercise needs will be handled consistently. I also bring an active lifestyle, which is great for dogs that need engaging walks, playtime, and attention. What sets me apart is the level of care and awareness I provide. I pay close attention to behavior, energy levels, and any changes, and I prioritize clear communication so you always feel confident while you are away. My goal is to make sure your dog feels comfortable, safe, and well cared for at all times My schedule is currently wide open following the end of the swim season, which gives me plenty of flexibility for walks, drop-ins, and overnight care throughout the week and weekends. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your dog. I create a safe, comfortable environment where your pet feels secure and cared for at all times. I pay close attention to their needs, keep a watchful eye during walks, and always make sure you are updated so you can relax knowing they are in good hands.
About: Hi! I’m Maura, a high school English teacher who has lived and worked in the Berkshires for 19 years. I’ve spent my entire life caring for animals of all kinds, and my goal is simple: to provide safe, personalized care so you can enjoy your time away without worrying about your pets. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, house sitting, overnight pet care, and small farm sitting throughout the Berkshires. Whether you need someone to check on a new puppy, care for a senior pet, or manage a small farm while you’re away, I’d love to help. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, hamsters, gerbils, rats, large aquariums, horses, cows, goats, and pigs. In addition to caring for my own animals, I have experience managing an equine boarding facility with 19 horses on the property and am comfortable handling a variety of animal personalities, energy levels, and care needs. I am experienced with: • Puppies and kittens • Senior pets • Oral medication administration • Basic trick training and potty training • High-energy dogs • Shy or anxious animals • Horses and livestock requiring daily care routines I also offer red light therapy sessions for pets, both small and large, upon request. Coming soon: private in-home boarding! I am currently creating a private pet guest house on my property that opens directly into a fully fenced backyard. My goal is to provide a low-stress alternative to traditional kennels by boarding only one pet family at a time. This allows your pets to receive individualized attention in a quiet, secure environment without the stress of sharing space with unfamiliar animals. If this is something you’d be interested in, feel free to reach out for details. I know firsthand how stressful it can be to leave beloved pets behind when traveling. That’s why I prioritize communication, reliability, and personalized care. I provide regular photo updates and am always happy to check in while you’re away so you can feel confident that your pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Whether you’re visiting the Berkshires for a weekend, heading out for a day of skiing or sightseeing, or leaving town for a longer trip, I’d love the opportunity to care for your pets as if they were my own. Please feel free to reach out with any questions about services, availability, or your pet’s specific needs. I look forward to meeting you and your animals! I’m always running errands for my pets, spending time with my pets, or I’m at the barn with my horse. Taking care of the needs of my own pets is one of my top priorities, and I can easily work your furry friend into my schedule! It’s important that we discuss your specific expectations and needs as a pet owner/parent to ensure that you get the best care! “Amanda is an absolute phenomenal pet caretaker. Great communication throughout the booking process, and is very attentive and thoughtful with walking our pup. She told us she has had experience taking care of pets in the past, and it definitely shows. We live in a home and gave her an access code to go in during the day to walk our pup, and have had no issues trusting her going in and out of our home. She takes pics of our dog during every walk. Would highly recommend without any hesitation.”

About: grew up surrounded by animals—some more traditional, like cats and guinea pigs, and some a bit more unexpected, like free-roaming turtles, pet rats, and even a rescued crow. No matter the species, I believe every pet is a family member and deserves love, care, and attention. My primary experience is with cats, from playful kittens to senior cats requiring special medical care, prescription diets, and extra attention. I’ve also cared for a variety of small animals, including hamsters, guinea pigs, and ferrets, and I’m knowledgeable about setting up and maintaining freshwater fish tanks. I had a 10-gallon tropical tank for years and now have a betta fish. In addition to pet care, I’m responsible and detail-oriented when it comes to maintaining a home. I understand the importance of keeping things tidy, watering plants, and ensuring everything runs smoothly while you’re away. You can trust that both your pets and your home will be well cared for in your absence! I am currently between jobs, so my schedule is very flexible. Outside of occasional appointments and workout classes, I am available most days to care for your home and pets. In a client’s home, I ensure pets follow their regular routines, including feeding, exercise, and medication schedules. I keep a close eye on their behavior, ensuring they are comfortable and stress-free. I also make sure the home remains secure by locking doors, monitoring surroundings, and keeping hazardous items out of reach. Cleanliness is important, so I maintain tidy spaces, fresh water, and a clean litter box or pet area. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and familiar environment for pets while their owners are away.

“You can tell McKenna is a big animal & dog lover. She was incredibly sweet & gentle during our meet & greet. She asked all the right questions and our pups felt instantly comfortable around her. We’re glad to establish a relationship with someone we can trust AND with someone who goes above & beyond during her visits. Thank you McKenna, we’ll be booking you again soon!”

About: I’ve taking care of dogs since I was a child, from my neighbors, friends and family. It was like a hobbie, but now I want to do it like a loving additional job. NOTE: the rate for day care is the whole day. My husband and I are a loving couple who adore pets! Although we both work, our schedules complement each other perfectly, ensuring our furry friend will have companionship most of the time. We're excited to welcome a new pet into our family and provide a stable, nurturing environment where they'll thrive and feel cherished." 💕☘️✨ I only receive one pet at the time, because I know they are very territorial and I like the exclusivity for them. We have plenty of energy to play with your pet and bunch of love to give. Our home is filled with love, attention, and playtime. We like to take them out not just to do their neccessities but to enjoy quality time, even more than twice a day, then your pet can drink filter water 🤗.
About: Pet/animal care is part of my soul and my heart. From puppies to seniors I shower them with love, patience and dignity. I love it! I have the time and the space for your sweet fur babies on the weekends and after work. If I can help you, please let me! I will always adapt to the needs of each animal. If I can accommodate any needs, cautions or desires, It will be my pleasure! :)
About: I care for 4 pups of my own and I love spending time with animals. I will treat your pup as if they were my own. I am currently available on weekend days and early evenings. During the week, I am available early evenings Thursdays, and Friday. I look forward to meeting new pups! I have a fenced-in yard, I have 4 pups of my own. Pets are allowed on furniture, there is a doggie door for smaller pups.
About: My experience in pet care began during my childhood on my grandparents’ farm, where I was surrounded by a wide variety of animals every day. From an early age, I learned the importance of responsibility, compassion, and attentive care. I gained hands-on experience feeding, grooming, and nurturing animals of all kinds—including dogs, cats, livestock, and small animals—each with their own unique needs and personalities. More than just daily routines, I developed strong, loving bonds with the animals I cared for, treating them as family. That foundation shaped my deep understanding of animal behavior and my commitment to providing patient, personalized, and reliable care for every pet I work with. I bring a deep love and understanding of dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. From playful pups to sweet seniors, I tailor each walk to fit their needs. I prioritize safety, communication, and fun—always engaging with your dog and even teaching basic cues like sit, stay, and wait during our adventures. I’m passionate about nature and I believe dogs thrive when they can safely explore their environment —sniffing the breeze, feeling the grass under their paws, and soaking up the world around them. I’m dependable, energetic, and treat every dog like my own. Whether it’s a gentle stroll or a playful outing, your pup will be in great hands and have a tail-wagging good time! Dog walking fits perfectly into my current routine. I’m a part-time healthcare worker with a consistent schedule, working from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Outside of those hours, I have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability and plenty of time to dedicate to your pup. I truly enjoy incorporating walks into my day—they keep me active, bring me joy, and let me connect with more wonderful dogs. Your dog will receive dependable, loving care from someone who’s already made this a part of daily life. Safety, trust, and a positive environment are at the heart of every walk I take. I prioritize clean, open, and dog-friendly spaces—like the Rail-Trail, local parks, and secure walking paths—where pups can enjoy fresh air and nature safely. I always use leash control, stay highly observant of their behavior, and make sure every walk is calm, comfortable, and secure. Whether we’re exploring a quiet trail or playing at a safe dog park, your dog’s well-being is my top priority. You can trust that your pup is in caring, capable, and experienced hands every step of the way.
About: I’ve always loved animals. I volunteered at a dog groomers bathing, walking, etc. when I wasn’t old enough to get a job yet just so I could be around the animals. I grew up with a cocker spaniel and rescued my own dog as an adult as soon as I lived somewhere that would allow it. I’ve been around all different types and sizes of dogs and cats and love them all. I am currently working per diem and looking for a remote job so my schedule is very flexible. I am a morning person but don’t mind being up late either so all times are doable. I have a lot of common sense and spacial awareness so I am able to make good decision and be aware of anything that could be harmful to your babies.
About: I’ve dog sat on numerous occasions for friends and family with dogs. I’ve sat bigger dogs, smaller dogs. Older and younger. I love dogs and their kisses and loves. I love playing with them and help getting exercise or just cuddles in. I do work but I can be flexible to help care for needs of the pets. I will always check in and keep open communication to ease anyone’s mind on their pets check ins. I will always make sure the fur baby feels comfortable in their home, as I will just be a guest in it. I will give them the care and love they need though.
About: I've been helping family and friends take care of their pets while they are gone since I was a teen. This has been cats, dogs, and dog walking along with the occasional chicken and parakeet. Currently I have a cat but I grew up with a dog and love them just as much. I will happily give your pets and home the attention to detail they deserve! Plus lots of love, pets, and play if they want it. I am available any time of the week between 8 am and 8 pm as I do not have a full time job. My schedule is flexible and I can work with you. Walk me through what you and your pet need and I will be happy to provide. Your home and furry friends will be safe and sound! I can do play time, walks, general care, and simple medical needs. If you need other things done when I visit, let me know and we can talk.
“Five stars! Adrienne was FANTASTIC with our pit bull mix and Brittany spaniel. She was easy to communicate with, always on time, and cared for our dogs just as we would. I have lots of confidence in her ability to manage our crazy boys. I highly recommend Adrienne and I will definitely use her again!”

About: I have been loving and caring for dogs my entire life! Nothing makes me happier than spending quality time with a furry friend. I have experience with basic obedience training and grooming (including nail trimming), and I'm more than happy to take your dog on a long-distance walk if needed. I work from home, so your pet will enjoy around-the-clock company! I can board throughout the week and am available for short or long-term stays. I have a very friendly Beagle who will love becoming your pet's next best friend! If needed, I'm able to crate small dogs (below 25 lbs). Though I don't have a backyard, I'm near plenty of green spaces where your pet can enjoy time outside. Your pet can expect multiple daily walks, plenty of play time, and an experienced and caring sitter.
About: I love to care for my dog and love to meet other dogs. I am open to any dog and its unique personality. I have taken care of all sizes of dogs and always want to meet their needs. I don't mind taking them on walks around the neighborhood and am happy to take pictures or videos of how they are doing. I am primarily available on the weekends but will make time for weekday evenings. I am currently applying to other weekday jobs and will update my schedule accordingly. I’m moving to Amherst on August 26th so I recommend not booking after this date. I will not be in the area I let my dog outside when he asks for it and keep a close eye on him. I also supervise all dogs outside, making sure they don't go into places they should not go. I will also provide baths when asked and can give oral medication.

“Mary and Todd are the absolute best dog sitters! Their great care for our dog Toby gives us a lot of peace of mind. We know he is having a great time — it shows in the photos that Mary sends to us throughout his stay.”

“I highly recommend using Kathleen if you need any dog boarding. Her home is impeccable and her dogs Gunther and Woody are such a great addition to the stay. Kathleen does a wonderful job at keeping you updated through the stay with a ton of fun photos. My dog was so happy during and when we picked her up. Highly recommend!”

“I was very comfortable leaving my dog with Deanne! My girl has a lot of energy and loves attention, and I was relieved to hear that this wasn't bothersome at all. I got routine updates throughout the week, and Deanne was very responsive to my messages. 10/10 would hire again.”

“Both of our dogs were calm and relaxed after a 4-day stay. James was attentive to all of their needs and was very kind. His roomates were a bonus, because someone was almost always around to hang out with our dogs! Thanks James, we will be back!”
About: I’ve grown up with Chinchillas, Cats, Dogs, Ducks, Chickens, & Reptiles. My Fiancé & I currently have 3 Cats (they love dogs- but if any issues - can be kept separate in their cat room to create a more comfortable stay for any pet that doesn’t like cats), between me & my partner- someone is always home to give attention to & play with pets. (Aside from when we go to the store or doctors appointments). Your pets will get the best care!!! Someone will always be home with your pets, either I am home or when I’m at work my fiancé Deanne is home & is also a huge animal lover. The only times someone isn’t home is when we’re grocery shopping or at an appointment. We have the rail trail right in our backyard that goes for miles- it’s a great trail to take dog walks on! We usually do that or use tie outs or the dogs leashes in our yard since we don’t have a fenced in yard, but your pets are never left unattended on the tie-outs, someone will be outside with them at all times
Every pet owner and pet is different and I want to tailor my approach to what your pet is used to and comfortable with.
“Candice was absolutely wonderful!!!!!!!! This was my first time leaving my baby boy with anyone! I was kept updated with messages and pics. Would definitely recommend and/or book with Candice again.”

“Peter and Monique were so attentive to our dog for a whole week. Peter was very thorough in asking all about Sooty’s needs and preferences. We really appreciated the updates and photos, our dog had a lovely time and was very well cared for. I booked Peter based on reading the reviews and would say exactly the same as others have. Definitely recommend and will be booking again in future.”

“My boys were well taken care of because while they were happy to see us, they didn't seem afraid. Robin was so good with communication and the video she sent made me feel so at ease. They were so accommodating for the last minute request due to a very sad time in our family. If they would have us again in the future, I would definitely feel comfortable leaving the boys with them. Thank You so much.”

About: I have years of experience with many different types of dogs. I watch dogs on a regular basis. For younger dogs I can offer a mountain hikes and for older dogs I can walk them on boardwalk trails that are easy on the joints, yet give the dog the sense of walking in the woods. I don't mind larger dogs at all. I also am willing to cook food for dogs. I very much enjoy the company of dogs and find that when they are well fed and exercised they are really pleasant to be around. Please give me honest description of your dog so I can plan His/Her visit accordingly. My house is set back (1000 feet) from a country road . I can pick up dogs in NYC , Great Barrington , Hudson, or Albany for a fee. I have watched many dogs over the years. Usually I try to walk them as much as possible. I feed them well , but make them follow the sit command before being fed and multiple times a day. All dogs have to be on a slip proof leash when outside or dropped off. Dogs often don't behave as they do at home . Once off a leash it can be very difficult to recapture a dog. In the house I don't crate dogs . We can only watch a few dogs at once. If your dog is very difficult let me know in advanced. Also Corgies get 10% off.
