One of my dogs is very anxious and barks a lot. She dealt with it well and realized he was just unsure of the environment. My 6 pound Pomeranian took a few days to warm up to her but in the end she did. Sue didn’t push herself on my dog and just let my pup come to her. She took special care to walk them and make them feel as comfortable in their new environment. Sue also took time each day to send me photos and texts so I knew they were ok. About: Hello! I’ve been professionally caring for animals since I was 12 years old and got my first dog sitting gig. Over the years, my family has had every kind of pet: horses, sheep, dogs, cats, birds, iguanas even! I find great joy in showing the animals I work with lots of love and guidance. I’ve trained my own and others' horses, dogs and cats over the years and it’s just the most rewarding experience. I work part time and mostly from home which allows me to be available all day to care for pets. I’m a big fan of a consistent routine with animals rotating stimulation (exercise, play, training or enrichment) meals, rest and balancing the three. I care for pets on my property which is almost entirely fenced in. I have professional kennels in a mixed use building with a residential portion attached. So I have the luxury of providing secure and roomy kennels with the addition of our cozy home area. I can take most types of pets and I’m especially suited to care for animals that do not do well in large boarding facilities, don’t do well with other pets or just want a more personalized, quiet boarding experience. I don’t believe it is always necessary to socialize dogs with dogs and right now that’s not something I do (unless they are boarding from the same owners). I focus on routine, a bit of training and connection with humans! I have a fenced in run where dogs can be off leash for playing, enrichment etc. I designed our kennels myself and had them custom built. Each stall is separated by concrete walls to provide a private and safe space. I chose mental fencing for the top of the partition and the door. I chose this instead of the plastic, glass or solid door options because it provides optimal airflow and allows them to see out. I also have private suites separate from that area.

About: I've been around dogs my entire life but have owned my own dog for the past 4 years. I am constantly watching my friend's dogs while they are away and know how important it is to have someone to trust and provide a loving and caring home away from home for your pet while you are away! I currently work from home full-time, so I'll have plenty of time to walk and play with your pup! I have a highly energetic dog, so we take several walks during the day and then I take her to nearby parks with trails after work. I'm available for boarding during the week and on weekends. I’ve got an excellent house and neighborhood to walk or host dogs, with a big yard with lots of running space. The neighborhood is safe and scenic with very little traffic. To work with you and your dogs would be such a pleasure!
About: I have had the pleasure of taking care of animals my whole life. My experience is with dogs of all ages, cats, and other small animals. I am experienced in giving special care (medication, etc.) and would love to care for your fur babies! I treat each Rover client as if they were my own. I have had a yellow lab for 16 years, a black lab for 13 years, and currently have two cats of my own. I currently work from home most days, with weekends off. My schedule allows me to fit pet care in very easily. I look forward to working with you! I ensure my pets have all they need and more, including new toys and items that keep them engaged. It is important for pets to have a clean safe space, always! I believe in giving pets the same quality of life as humans

“Grace is an absolute gem, AND we were lucky enough to be her very first Rover walk! We have a 1-year-old bull terrier, Romani, who is crazy, hyper, and loveable in equal measure. Grace took it all in stride like she'd been doing this for years. She was incredibly sweet with her, and Romani loved her right back. She tracked her pee breaks and poop breaks and kept her out walking the full time (maybe a little over actually!). That kind of attentiveness and communication means the world when you're trusting someone with your fur baby. If you're on the fence about booking Grace, don't be. She's a natural, and we will 100% be booking her again. Give this girl all the five stars! 🐾”
