“Having moved recently to New Bedford, we didn´t have any close friends or relatives to leave our Lhasa Apso Johann with. We are so glad we came accross Taylor and Tyler on the Rover platform. They responded to my first contact almost immediately and were very attentive in getting back to me so we could arrange our meet and greet. About: I’ve cared for dogs my whole life and truly love having them around. I do tend to spoil them, but I always follow the instructions you, the parent, provide. I have had senior dogs and puppies and always give them the extra care they need. We are a retired couple and always enjoy having a dog around us. Then I raised Bruce, a rescued black lab mix from August 2013 until 2025 with some breaks for the US Army. And I taught him very well; he passed in June 2025 but he will always be my companion at my side. For some time I carried him, 120 lbs, up and down flights of stairs. Sometimes from here to there, carefully, comfortably, gingerly. I have a background in psychology, and I’m a dog trainer and a bit of a behaviorist. I’ve taken care of pets for family members and friends. And did so professionally in the past prior to Rover, after friends got me into it, which I started in August 2025. I’m great with animals. After spending even just a short time with them we can often establish a connection or rapport, especially when training a younger pet (or caring for an older dog). I enjoy taking dogs for long walks, I could run with your dog, play with them, but mostly we’ll be doing what they want - within reason. I will basically be spending the entire time with your pets. We’ll wake up between five to eight in the morning, and we’ll go bed between eight and eleven at night. I’ll be up with them as they need and we’ll be in and out much more than is required. “Shatane and her family were absolutely amazing with my two dogs. They sent great updates of how they were doing and amazing pictures and videos. Have both my dogs plenty of exercise outside in the backyard and treated them as if they were their own. It made a week of travel less stressful to know my two were taken care of so well. “Having moved recently to New Bedford, we didn´t have any close friends or relatives to leave our Lhasa Apso Johann with. We are so glad we came accross Taylor and Tyler on the Rover platform. They responded to my first contact almost immediately and were very attentive in getting back to me so we could arrange our meet and greet. They took care of Johann for 5 nights and would send me pictures daily and keep me posted. Johann adapted very well and we could see he was being well taken care of and having a fun time! We are so happy and thankful we now have a place to leave him when we next have to travel without him!”
