About: I had 2 cats growing up and I currently take care of my mother’s bengal cat on a regular basis. I feed, groom, and maintain the litter box because my mother is unable to. About: I am an animal lover who goes above and beyond caring for animals. My Vizsla is 12 years old and recently had to go away for a week and he needed to stay at a kennel. He had never been kenneled before and realized how important it is to find a loving and caring place for him while I was away. I was lucky enough to find a place but realized the importance of having somewhere/someone to care for pets as well as I would. So decided to sign up for Rover and hoping to help someone as I was helped! I have a home with a decent sized fenced in back yard. I also take my dog on an off leash hike a day and understand how important exercise is and make it a priority in our home on a daily basis.

About: Hello! My husband and I are relatively new to being on the care taker end of Rover. But better late than never! A little about us: We live in a spacious house with a yard with 2 cats and 1 dog (and no kids). We also work from home so we are able to pay lots of attention to our pets and yours! I, myself, am an animal lover with years of volunteer work experience in shelters and zoos. I have grown up in a household with many types of pets from dogs and cats to turtles and chickens and peacocks! We fall in love with every animal we meet, and would love to host your pet when they need us! Both me and my husband work from home and always spend tons of time with our pets including pets and walks and play time and cuddles! We have a large tard with a 6-foot fence. We have two cats and a dog but we can dedicate an entire floor to your pets and spend time with them if separation is necessary from other animals. In the case that the animals don’t get along, we also tend to put our pets in different rooms and spend time with your pet in the main living area. But our pets are very friendly!

About: I’ve been walking my family’s dogs for almost a decade now - a high energy Brittany spaniel & a very large husky/shepherd mix. 7 years ago I rescued a German shepherd/pit bull mix (Layla) who I’ve trained extensively and take on daily adventures. Then, a year ago I rescued Dixon (a German shepherd/Australian cattle dog mix) and he’s been reactive to humans & dogs alike. I’ve completed extensive training in classes with him alongside professionals. I’ve taken that experience and can apply many basic training concepts to dogs of all sizes/ages. I’m currently available throughout the work week at any time (as an educator on summer break). As of September 1st, I will be available from 2pm into the early evening. Book early to save a spot right at 2! I know a wide variety of trails/walking spots in the local area, so your pup will always be enriched & happy! I make sure to carry some kind of dog deterrent (PetSafe SprayShield or Pet Corrector) in case of emergency, and try to engage in positive reinforcement training throughout walks. This looks like rewarding the dog(s) with treats when they check in with me, stay in a heel, or keep loose tension on the leash. Within your home, I’ll always change/refill the water for the dog(s) after the walk.

When caring for pets in my home, I treat them like family. I love spending time with them, playing with them, and giving them plenty of attention to make sure they feel loved and not ignored. My dogs at home and I spend a lot of time on walks and hikes. I also have a fenced in backyard where they can safely run and play. I am very comfortable handling larger dogs on leash and can manage any that may pull. When I care for a pet at a client's home, I make sure they have everything they need while I am there, like fresh food and water. I also make sure they get lots of playtime and attention, and toys to keep them entertained. About: I have had pets my entire life. Dogs, cats, birds, fish, rabbits…I love animals of all kinds. My mom became paralyzed and I walked and took care of her 2 senior dogs for about 8 years until they passed. I gave them oral medication, cooked their food, walked and groomed them. Then she adopted a puppy and I took care of him as well as trained him. I currently have 2 french bulldogs of my own. One is a hyper little puppy and the other is a calmer 5 year old. I love caring for pets whether they are my own or someone else’s. I currently work part time in home care until 2pm 4 days a week. I am available most afternoons. My schedule changes if a client is in the hospital and does not need care those days which gives me the flexibility to pick up more last minute walks or check ins. I have children so I cannot work all weekend but i can be flexible and am open to them. I am open to walking your dogs in your neighborhood or wherever you prefer. I am also open to check ins and feeding dogs or cats. I will do my best to keep your routine with them if that is what you prefer. I would like to know a little bit about them beforehand and any preferences or habits they have.

About: I have been a true pet lover my entire life. Now I raise two daughters who feel the same way. There has never been an animal we did not love. I have been the one all of my friends and family always rely on to help walk, feed, bathe, and take care of their pets. “We couldn’t be happier with the care Matt and Patty provided for our Golden Retriever during the 10 nights we were out of the country. From the very beginning, we felt completely comfortable leaving him in their care. We were able to visit their home beforehand, and they have a wonderful setup, including a large, fully fenced backyard with plenty of room for him to play. Throughout our trip, Matt and Patty sent us frequent updates and photos, which gave us tremendous peace of mind. They took him on daily walks around the neighborhood, gave him lots of attention, and it was very clear that he was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. What really stood out to us was how they handled a day when he wasn’t feeling well and developed some stomach issues. Matt immediately contacted us, proactively made an appointment with the vet, and made sure we were comfortable with him taking our dog in to be seen. Afterward, Matt and Patty followed the vet’s recommendations closely and even cooked rice and beef for his meals for several days while his stomach recovered. They truly cared for him as if he were their own. When we returned, we came home to a very happy puppy, and we could tell he had been loved and well cared for the entire time. We are so excited to have found Matt and Patty. Finding people you can completely trust with your dog while you’re away is incredibly important, and we feel very fortunate to have found such reliable, attentive, and genuinely caring sitters. We would absolutely recommend them and will not hesitate to have them care for our dog again!”
