In another life, Laura worked in veterinary hospitals and emergency care with plans of becoming a veterinarian. “Paul is a wonderful addition to my dog’s routine! I was scrambling to figure out what to do on my 12 hour days with my newly adopted rescue female pit mix when classes started this Fall. After reviewing a few profiles, Paul’s really stuck out as someone with both passion and genuine knowledge about dogs/dog behavior. I asked him to come meet my dog before we officially booked to ensure that she reacted well to him. Within the first few minutes, my dog was on her back requesting belly rubs. About: I have been a lifelong animal lover since I was a little kid, My first pet being a sweet stray cat my family took in before I was even 5 years old. I have years of hands-on experience caring for and loving pets, my own of course and many others that have trusted me to care for theirs. Regardless of age, energy level or if your dog/cat simply needs more snuggles, exercise or play time throughout the day. While I am new to Rover I have a lot of experience with things like daily dog walking, providing medications (pills, topical treatments,) house sitting, drop-in visits, dog walking and even boarding pets in my home. I am also great at reading an animals body language which helps me connect better with anxious or shy pets to help make them feel as comfortable as possible. Spending time with animals is one of the best parts of my day, it fits naturally into my routine and brings me a lot of joy. I am very reliable, trustworthy and have a flexible schedule so I am able to work with you to create a schedule that you're most comfortable with. My home is spacious with 2 friendly cats and 2 well-socialized dogs who all coexist peacefully and are used to having new furry friends around for a temporary time. Pets in my home are all treated like family where they receive plenty of love, playtime, cuddles and socialized attention. My backyard is fenced in for safe outdoor exercise or just to hangout and catch a breeze on a nice day, my neighborhood also includes many quiet side streets for daily walking if needed. My home is air conditioned on those days that are just too hot and heated when it gets too cold. There is a big basket on the floor full with multiple types of toys, an easy accessible water bowl that's refilled at least 3xs per day, food or things on counter is not left anywhere that can be easily reached and harmful plants/chemicals to animals are not brought/used in my home.
About: I have been taking care of animals since I was a kid. I've cared for all types of dogs from dachshunds to pitbulls; toy poodles to great danes. No dog is too excitable or too strong to handle. I am an active person and will make sure your dog gets lots of exercise. My husband and I like to make sure all pups end the day happy and tired. With a large yard on a quiet street, you pet will feel right at home here. I work from home every day aside from Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with a lenient job that I can walk away from when needed. I can take the dog out at any time of day, and have a long lunch break for walks, and plenty of time in the evening for play. I've sat many pets in their own home, and have been able to learn how they behave in their own environment and adapt accordingly. Respecting people's spaces is a top priority, and I always make sure to leave a home exactly as I found it. I have a large home with plenty of outdoor space at the end of a quiet cul da sac. The back yard is secluded and very safe. We do not keep food out, and we make sure no plants that can harm animals ever enter the home. The neighborhood is quiet and safe with very few cars. Most all other dogs in the area have interacted with dogs we have babysat, and are very friendly and well trained.

About: I've been dog sitting for a little over 8 years now for friends and family. I started dogsitting for clients at the salon I used to work for. I own 2 dogs myself one of which is 11 and the other is 5! I love cats and dogs so much and I can't wait to have my own house to adopt as many as I can! I'd love to be available for overnights during the week for your pet and then just go to work during the day. The weekends I'm usually available full time for petsitting! I'm very flexible with what needs to be taken care of for your pet! I can take them on walks or for car rides. I can play fetch for as long as they want outside. I have two runs set up in the backyard, both allowing plenty of freedom. I have one dog, Digby. He is a mixed King Charles Cavalier spaniel and poodle. Digby is 6 years old and about 30lbs. He is sort of timid around other dogs but once he knows everything is safe, he loves to play! I live with my mother and my father.

About: I love dogs and cats! I do not currently own a dog or cat, but I volunteer with Our Companions in their Adopt a Shelter program spending time visiting and walking dogs in local shelters, and I have volunteered at their animal sanctuary in Ashford walking dogs. I am also in their Canine College program, taking and assisting in dog training classes. I enjoy using positive training techniques (treats and praise) to reinforce polite dog walking and attentive behaviors. I am comfortable walking dogs up to 70 lbs. I have recently retired, which gives me some flexibility, and I am participating in a Canine College dog training program. I love dogs, and I am looking for more opportunities to meet and spend time with dogs. I also enjoy cats and would be happy to house sit and/or walk your cat as well! My recent experiences with Our Companions Animal Sanctuary and Canine College programs are teaching me so much about being a pet guardian for different kinds of dogs. I am learning about dog body language and how to help engage dogs in enrichment, calming, and attention-game activities while in a home, in a yard, and on a walk. I have friends who own cats, and I enjoy getting to know them as well.
