About: Hi! I’ve had dogs my entire life and they’ve always been at the center of my world. My most recent pup, Effy, was with me for 15 years — she was truly the love of my life. While I’m not quite ready to have a dog of my own again, I couldn’t imagine my life without them, which is why I’m so excited to be here on Rover! Your pet will be loved and cared for like my own. I can’t wait to meet them I work from home Monday–Friday, so your pet will have my full attention throughout the day — no long stretches alone. I am able to work remotely so care during the day is no issue. I live in an apartment in Meraux above my dad’s office, so while there’s no yard, we have plenty of space to get outside for walks. There are stairs, but I’m happy to carry pets up and down as needed.

About: I’ve taken care my dogs my who life. They were always played with, well feed, taken on walks, and groomed to perfection. I love taking care and spending time with animals. My last pet was a female Siamese Cat her name was Nala and I had dog named Bacchus years before her and some one stole them both. “Upon our initial Meet & Greet with Adam, my partner and I immediately felt good about working with them. Adam’s sensitivity, attunement, and ability to relate to animals was present from the moment they were introduced to our cat, Gonzi. Adam spent two weeks house/cat-siting while we were abroad and took care of him with an attentiveness and affection equaling our own. We received regular video and photo updates during our vacation. (Adam is a filmmaker, so the videos were extra special). In the videos Gonzi was purring, and had clearly developed a close bond with Adam, something that is quite unusual for Gonzi. Adam’s messages and videos made clear that they are conscientious and thoughtful about how important such updates are for pet owners. As well as being very prompt in communication, Adam was also flexible. Our flight was late, and they kindly made an extra visit that evening after the stay had officially ended. Upon our return, Gonzi was happy and healthy, and had clearly been very well taken care of. Our home was very clean and tidy as well. Adam was a perfect cat sitter for us. About: Mother of 5 furbabies and full-time non traditional student, caring and loving for animals is part of my daily life. I grew up on a farm with dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits and a lamb (Popcorn) for pets. Youth member of 4-H clubs for both sheep and rabbits. Animals and caring for them was part of my upbringing and part of my daily life. Currently, I have 5 furbabies - all rescues and ranging in size from toy Chihuahua to my big girl pit bull. I saved her from death row (so the pound told me) but the truth is, she picked me. I would have 10 more if legally allowed. My retirement goal is to own a senior dog rescue/retirement center so we can enjoy our golden years together. I'm currently a full-time student, so I have a fairly flexible schedule and I'm only in classes two days a week. I have owned all types of dog personalities and have reasons for loving all of them - from the active and playful to the calm and snuggly and to those in between. Cats share my attitude so we get along well with some kind of mutual respect for each other. I love the difference in personalities between cats and dogs - there's a lot of comedy to support this fact. I'm also a lover of New Orleans and a former tour guide - so walking for a living is not a new thing. I prefer the activity over sitting behind a desk. Most dogs love my doggie massages and I'm a worthy opponent for any tug-o-war game. I can throw a ball far, bounce a ball high, and hold my own with the frisbee. Dogs also say I'm a great conversationalist with interesting tidbits for about how old the fire hydrant they're marking is as well as keen safety information, like why dogs can't swim in the River and why I don't recommend the lake either. Dogs also like my firm but fun nature - like toddlers, dogs appreciate routine, boundaries, and to gain their respect you have to enforce them. I also do not believe in hitting animals. My dogs are just as terrified of a water spray bottle - much like most cats - and it's far less harmful than hitting/smacking/etc them. Placing your trust in a stranger for the care and love of your furchild is never an easy task. As a fellow fur (and human) mother, I get that. I am extremely prompt, love taking photos, and love walking the city. I have a reliable 4-door car as well, so whether your dog just loves R-I-D-E-S (shh! don't say that out loud) or you need me to get them to the vet while on vacation - rest assured, I can cover all bases. I hope to meet your and fur family soon!!

About: I have experience with all kinds of animals including horses, goats, and chickens. Dogs are the best. I can't remember a time where I did not have a dog in my life. Originally from TX in the US marines me and my soon to be wife. Have our first puppy. I am looking for a 2nd job, and pet care would be an amazing 2nd job. My normal work week is Monday-Friday 6am-430pm or 0600 to 1630 Honestly probly depends on the pet, younger dogs especially puppies need more attention than older dogs, and older dogs may have different needs. I'm retired now and travel extensively for part of the year, so I'm unable to have pets of my own and thought this would be a great way to keep busy while I am in town. I have a doggy door and a large, gated backyard for games of fetch or hide and seek. I will provide a safe, loving home while you are away or drop-in if you so choose. When I'm in NOLA, I often work part-time from home. I'm retired so you could call me a homebody, and I'm often found working in my garden. I would be more than happy to meet your new fur babies & take part in spoiling them a little. Im an entrepreneur so my schedule is pretty flexible outside of my kids… I usually only need a days notice of a needed appointment for smoothie sailing on both sides but I’m definitely open to being on call of sorts if ever needed in an emergency situation. I can make accommodations for pet sitting during the day or over night whenever needed but only in the clients home as my home as small kids present always. I have no issue with crating your fur babies if needed. I’m knowledgeable on how to harness a dog & I know how to restrain them if transportation is ever required. About: I started my animal care experience working for the Audubon Science and Nature center in animal husbandry by caring for native and exotic animals, birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians in outreach and environmental education! My husband and I cared for wild, rehabilated, exotic, domestic and farm animals throughout our careers. She needed medication around the clock and caring for her taught me patience, gentle handling, and how to follow a strict care routine.
