About: I volunteer on my off time at my local dog rescue. I also have fostered many dogs in the past year for Caddo shelter and Parish Paws. I grew up around dogs and own two of my own who are always willing to play with other dogs. If there’s ever a concern of aggressive I separate the dogs when let out for potty breaks or in the house. I am taking off work for the next two months so my schedule is open minus a couple dates here and there. You can expect me home majority of my days. My pets are always fed and given water through the day and let o it frequently. They enjoy playing fetch or running in the yard and going on car rides or walks.

“Lidda was wonderful. Callie is a blind geriatric cat with some medical issues that includes daily IV fluids. Lidda made sure Callie had her meds on time and did an excellent job with the daily IV. She fed Callie and made sure her litter was clean. She, also, spent extra time with Callie giving her cuddles and attention, which was very reassuring to me as a cat Mama. She has a warm smile and a loving heart. This was the first time I have ever left Callie with anyone, The general rule is, "If Callie can't go, I don't go." This was just one of those few times when it just wasn't possible for her to go and I had to go. She did such a great job that I will probably be utilizing her services again in a few months. I have full confidence in her and in her care of Callie.”

About: I know that you have many options for care. I have been working through Rover since early 2020 and would like to share some information about myself. I made the decision to take an early retirement after twenty-two years at Northwestern State University when my husband and I relocated to Shreveport and both of our children went off to college. During this time, I worked with 150+ rescued dogs at the site and through the foster program. I found so much pleasure and enjoyment working as a rescue volunteer and wanted to expand my love and care of these most precious of animals. As a volunteer, I cleaned kennels, administered medications, walked and played with dogs, worked with basic training techniques and leash walking, and evaluated and monitored dog behaviors and personalities for proper socialization and integration with other dogs including aggressive and high anxiety dogs. I treat all animals as if they are my own. I love all fur babies big, small, young, and old. I am available at any time and since I am retired, I am able to provide drop-in services, walks, and overnight care (for socialized and house trained dogs who are current on all shots and flea/tick preventives), including medication administration and care for aggressive and high-anxiety dogs. I have no problems with cleaning up accidents and will ensure that your home stays clean of messes. I am also a firm believer in sending pictures while you are away so you can be comforted that your dog (or cat) is receiving nothing but the upmost care and love while you are away. No requested service is to great or small! I would welcome the opportunity to help you with care needs for your fur babies! Since I am retired, I am available at any time for drop-ins, walks, and overnight boarding (socialized and house trained only). I am also able to work around flexible and changing schedules. About: I’ve loved animals since I was young. I grew up with goats, cats, dogs, bunnies, and many more fun critters. I find a lot of joy being around animals. When I was 9 I helped my family’s pet goat give birth and helped raise them until they were rehomed to different farms. That is just one of the many fun stories I have from growing up surrounded by a variety of animals. I’m pretty comfortable with all personalities of pets and am very accommodating to specific routines and lifestyles. I used to work at a pet hospital so, that educated me on how to care for injured or sick pets. As well as, how to handle different behaviors of pets to benefit their safety and day to day life. I’m available Monday-Saturday all day and Sundays after 12 PM, unless we make special accommodations for overnights or other accommodations. I live in a quiet neighborhood and have a large fenced in yard with plenty of room for playing and exercise. I also have two dogs that love making new friends. For boarding at my house I like to let the dogs have plenty of outside time. Whether it’s in the backyard playing, going on a walk, or a trip to the dog park. I’m also up for quiet days with snuggles on the couch. I am happy to crate your dog if requested- one of my dogs are crated when they are home alone due to anxiety so I understand the necessity if needed. I also have indoor cameras to monitor my pets while I’m not home, so your pets will always have an eye on them even if I’m not physically there to ensure their safety. For overnight stays in your home, it is completely up to your discretion how you’d like me to care for your pets. Our bearded dragon is a blast to feed and watch crawl all over the floor. My pets are not pets, they are family. The sleep in my bed and are treated like one of my kids. I feel that most people forget that we are also mammals and instinctual beings. Just like children, you have to meet animals on their level as well, respectively. Someday I'd like to raise a variety of animals on a homestead of my own. I work for myself part-time cleaning houses, so I always get to make my own schedule. My calendar is by no means full, but I do have regular clients at different intervals. So, lots of free time to check in on your fur baby and drop off a little love while I'm at it. According to the client's wishes. It is their home and their rules. I live side by side with my dog. He follows my every step, always in the way, of course. Life is never boring with him though, he's even entertaining while he sleeps. 🐶(Snores, barks, whimpers, runs)
About: I work with Chimpanzees at Chimp Haven! I also have two amazing cats named Bellion and Kid! In addition I also have a bearded dragon named Thor. I have had animals since I was 3 and I have been caring for animals since then. I have experience walk training dogs and I have plenty of regular training experience as well. I use to volunteer with multiple dog and cat no kill shelters where I would walk, play, and groom with both dogs and cats. I would also go to events and communicate with potential adopters for these dogs, as I did these events I would be walk training the dogs so that when they get adopted they would know! I do work a full time job from 7am-4pm every day. My evenings are completely free and I currently have Saturdays and Sundays off from work so I am free all day on those days to help train or walk pets! Since my evenings are free I can check up or even stay the night to take care of your babies! My cats and lizard are very spoiled in our home. They get fed twice a day and plenty of love and play time. I absolutely adore animals and I want to make sure your pets are taken care of while you're at work or vacation!
About: I can train puppies as early as 6 weeks old. This includes house training as well. For elder dogs it may take longer to train, but it is still possible. I also provide basic daily care such as feeding, walking, bathing, and grooming. I have nothing to do! I would rather watch your pet all day. About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since a little toddler my family has always been big on having our little farm of pets and I wouldn’t ask for it any other way. Pet care fits into my daily routine because after a long day at work or in general looking forward to seeing those cute smiling faces will always make the day so much better. About: I have 4 dogs of my own and one cat. I have cared for pets as long as I can remember. My dogs are all house trained and crate trained they also are well mannered and like other pets. I can house train and also train dogs to do certain tricks. I'm 27 years old and own my own home with a large fenced in back yard. My house has no carpet so accidental pet messes can be cleaned easily. I have my own transportation to house sit or dog walk any time I am needed. About: I volunteer on my off time at my local dog rescue. I also have fostered many dogs in the past year for Caddo shelter and Parish Paws. I grew up around dogs and own two of my own who are always willing to play with other dogs. If there’s ever a concern of aggressive I separate the dogs when let out for potty breaks or in the house. I am taking off work for the next two months so my schedule is open minus a couple dates here and there. You can expect me home majority of my days. About: Pet sitting is awesome because I want to spend time with as many wonderful pets as I can. I'll treat them just as well as I would like my pets to be treated since I know how important they are. Prior to Good Dog, I would pet sit for family, friends and neighbors. They deserve the best care even the little rambunctious ones. I have been working and volunteering in pet care for years. About: Almost every firefighter has a part time job, so I chose this as mine because I love animals and I couldn’t think of any better way to relieve stress from work than to love on dogs all day! I have a pretty large fenced in backyard, although the house and furniture is open to your pups as well. I have two dogs of my own that love playing with new friends, but if your dog is shy of others I have a dog room in my house for my own dogs and another room for new friends to hang out as well. I also live close to the Brownlee Park, so if you would like your pup to go on a walk or run I would be more than happy to take them out!

I am happy to crate your dog if requested- one of my dogs are crated when they are home alone due to anxiety so I understand the necessity if needed.
