“Julie was GREAT. Our dogs didn’t even seem like they wanted to leave when we picked them up. Thor ran back to the back yard to tell them bye 🥹 they seemed happy & cared for the whole time & are exhausted babes, now that we’re home — which means they had plenty of loving & play time! Will 100% be using Julie on our next out of town trip as well!”

“Easy to get along. Great communication. Stella took right to them. Michael and Elizabeth treated her like one of their own pets. Thanks for making my first Rover experience one to be modeled after.”

“Tina was very accommodating with our dog. My dog had high anxiety while she was there and Tina was able to figure out what worked best for our dog. Will definitely use her again soon!”

“Lacy was awesome with me puppy she kept me informed the entire time on how my pup was doing which made me feel very at ease since thus was my first time using Rover my pup had a good time I highly recommend Thank you Lacy ?”

“We were in the need for a new dog sitter after our old one retired, and we found one. Scott and Melissa are fantastic. Our dog had a great time and was clearly well cared for. They have a backyard creek that our dog loved playing in. We received plenty of pictures and updates. Highly recommended, your dog will love it.”

“With last minute notice, Kimberly was able to assist and watch Holly for the week. I do not think I have had a better dog sitter for boarding in the almost 12 years I have had Holly. You can tell Holly was happy to be with Kimberly! Thank you so much for the love and care you provided for Holly and the communication, knowledge, and professionalism with us. You are amazing, Kimberly!”

“This was my very first time boarding coco so I was very nervous about leaving her but Heather made me and coco feel like family ! She was very attentive with pictures and keeping me updated on her progress during the stay. Coco is a diabetic so there was an extra layer of anxiety with that but again Heather was very much on top of things which allowed me to have a great weekend away without worrying. I will definitely use her services again.”

“Sarah was great! Very friendly and personable, and only minutes from our house! She sent us pictures to let us know our pup was doing good. We will definitely use her in the future!”

“We had an incredible experience with Francesca as our dog sitter. She truly stands out for her attentiveness and dedication. Not only did she regularly send updates, but she also shared pictures throughout the stay. It's evident that she cares deeply for the animals she looks after. If you have the opportunity to book Francesca, don't hesitate—you won't be disappointed!”

“I had such a great experience with this dog sitter! From the moment we met, it was clear how sweet, kind, and genuinely caring they are—not just toward people, but especially toward animals. My dog felt comfortable right away, which gave me so much peace of mind. They were attentive, responsible, and kept me updated, which I really appreciated. It’s obvious they truly love what they do, and it shows in the way they treat the dogs in their care. I could tell my dog was happy, well cared for, and even a little spoiled with attention! I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and compassionate to care for their pet.”

“Stephanie and her family were so kind and wonderful to work with. They treated Bailey like one of the family. I felt comfortable with her in their care. I received updates, pics and videos throughout the weekend. Her pups were sweet and gentle with our little puppy. We highly recommend Stephanie.”

“Cassie was great! She was very flexible and caring. It is obvious that she adores animals. Our Cavalier has a great time. She had such a great time she didn’t seem all that excited to see me when normally she goes crazy when she greets me. Cassie shared a lot of pictures of our girl making friends with her family and various pets. I would definitely use her again if we come back to Bardstown again!”

“I CANNOT say enough good things about both Rick and his fiancé Annemarie! They were God-sent ANGELS for our wedding weekend! We were out of town - all of us were - and really needed someone who could keep Millie for us. Even though they stayed a half hour away, they were above-and-beyond accommodating, staying flexible with our schedule as things changed on our end. They came and picked her up from us, brought her back for rehearsal the same day so my nephew could practice walking her down the aisle, took her back home. They sent me pictures of her and their dog Buckley all throughout the weekend and she looked like she was having fun, getting good sleep and was comfortable. When Annemarie brought Millie to my wedding, she came dressed up to blend in with the other guests and I never heard Millie bark the whole time. She stayed around in the hot heat for pictures so Millie could be in a few pictures with us before taking her back to their home. Finally, they kept her through an extra day for us so we could have a little breather time before we had to pack everything up at our hotel room and head back home. We could not have made it through our wedding weekend without Annemarie and Rick's help. All of their story-sharing about what Millie was up to with Buckley all weekend was so nice to see intermittently as we were busy buzzing about doing our wedding activities. We are so GRATEFUL for everything they did and it's clear Millie was well taken care of and comfortable because she was so calm and relaxed when Rick returned her to us! Truly extra sweet! Thanks again for everything!”

“Crystal was an amazing pet sitter!!!! Crystal’s home was very clean, she was professional and a very sweet family. The whole time she kept us updated with pics and videos. Communication is key and she understood that giving my anxiety about my fur baby being away from me for the first time. Very much treated my Ozzy like her own. Ozzy and her dog Tank were like cousins lol. I will definitely keep booking with Crystal! If I could give her 10 stars I would!!!! 🤩❤️”

“They were absolutely amazing with my dog, Charlie. From the moment we dropped him off, they were kind, patient, and super understanding. You can tell they genuinely care about the dogs they watch. Charlie was comfortable with them and that gave me a lot of peace of mind. They kept me updated and were very attentive to his needs. I’m really grateful for how well they treated him and I would 100% trust them again. Highly recommend!”

“Ebony and her family are amazing care givers! Not only is she responsive and communicates throughout the trip, but she also followed special feeding instructions for our pup. He had so much fun at Ebony’s house, I was worried he wouldn’t want to come home!! We’ve already rebooked her for the future because we know that our Toby is well taken care of and loved while we are gone. We can’t recommend Ebony enough- she’s amazing!”

“Rachel did a fantastic job caring for our 5 cats 2x a day. She was always on time, and attentive to their schedule. She noticed our front door had not latched completely and brought it to our attention with a photo and then secured it. She also collected our mail 2x so the box didn't overflow. Will definitely request her again if a sitter is needed in future.”

“Alison was absolutely great with our 2 cats! They are both very high maintenance in their own way and she didn’t hesitate to take on the challenges. We are very appreciative of the stellar job she did looking after them while we were gone. Highly recommend.”

“Hannah was a joy. She's very much an animal lover! I was quite comforted while away that she was checking on my baby and had no problems with what I needed for her to do. I would be a positive reference for her.”

“Miranda is wonderful! She was very responsive to my messages, sent tons of adorable pictures of my cats, and went above and beyond my expectations by bringing cute toys for the kitties to play with and vacuuming the area around the litter box. I highly recommend booking her to care for your pets.”

“Tabitha did everything I asked and sent pictures so that I could see how my cats were doing while I was gone. She kept me up to speed texting to let me know when she was going to my house for each check in.”
About: I’ve had pets my entire life, so I love to help take care of them and love on them! I’ve also looked after plenty of animals for family and friends when they’re out of town, with one family friend having me come back to dog sit for them for the last three years! Right now, I’m home from college for the summer, and don’t have a job, so my schedule is pretty free unless I have an appointment or other things going on on a certain day! I don’t offer boarding for pets in my own home unfortunately, but for my clients, I will make sure all their needs are met and more, playing with them and making sure they’re doing great before I leave for the day.
“Francesca has been so great taking care of my older cat! She responds to booking requests very quickly, is very reliable, and sends lots of pictures and updates on her visits. She’s very sweet and careful with my older kitty. I’d highly recommend, and will definitely book her again!”

“Kaitlin did an awesome job with our 2 dogs. She went above and beyond when one of our dogs made a mess and cleaned up. Will definitely use again if the we need any more help Thanks Kat”

Anyone who knows me knows I am an animal lover and your dogs will feel at home here. I do have children ages 6 and 3 and one cat. I currently only work 2 days a week and have 2 kids who love to go on walks! So I am home most of the day and I am also able to walk any time of day! In my home I have a privacy fenced in backyard for your dogs to play in! I also have a crate that they can go in if needed!
“Lacy has gone over and beyond the "call of duty" in providing professional, loving and attentive care for NEFERTITI. She was always willing courteous and willing to be flexible when my schedule fluxuated. I was totally pl”

“Cristaylee was amazing with our puppy I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER for anyone looking for a sitter. She stays in contact with you all day with pictures and videos etc. If I need a sitter in the future will most definitely make her watch our puppy again!”

“Stephanie was great! Super accommodating and flexible with our schedule, dogsitting our Frankie while we biked the Trail. He was very anxious on our way there, but visibly relaxed when he met her. She gave updates (and photos) when I asked, and had him ready when we arrived for pick-up. We didn't get to meet in advance when she offered, since we're from out of town, but spent time on the phone answering all our questions before we booked. We'll trust her with our boy if we are in area again and need this wonderful service.”

“Another successful stay with Michael and Elizabeth! We were so happy they could accommodate a very last-minute request to dogsit Tiggy and Tiggy came home a happy and tired pooch! We look forward to another booking with Michael and Elizabeth!”

About: I am an animal lover and have voluntarily trained animals while working in the ARMY. I establish a " sense of security" for the animals with training and intuition , that has developed over my life experiences handling animals. I enjoy seeing the happiness in my own pets; for instance, after a hike. I will treat your pets with compassion and as if they are a ' part ' of my family , while they are in my care. I love dogs and cats and am looking forward to walking, training and allowing my own dog, Precious , to have socialization with other animals. I trained Precious to co habitat with cats. She is well behaved around all types of others , people and animals.
About: My animal experience goes way back to childhood. At the age of 7 I started in 4h, learning about animal husbandry. By the age of 13 I was volunteering at the local riding stables. By high school, I was working at the local animal shelter, volunteering with local rescues and advancing my education in dog training, with hopes of getting into service dogs. At age 19 I started working at a vet clinic This just advanced my love of animals and their care even more! Fast forward to today, and I own my own in home grooming salon ❤️ I have continued to volunteer with the local rescues and shelter every chance I get. 2 years ago I was blessed with the opportunity to become a puppy raiser for a veteran service dog foundation. That was the very best experience i could of asked for! My knowledge of dogs extends into training, grooming and care. I'm knowledgeable with cats and other small animals as well! Coming from a farm and vet background, I have experience with just about every animal including exotics. My personal dogs are all very well socialized with other animals of all kinds. They all have extensive training and are completely safe with others. They know just how to make our new guest feel right at home! All my boarder dogs are treated as family, allowed on beds and furniture and cage free unless otherwise requested. Bath or grooming add ons are always available! All baths/ grooms come complete with a cute Pic! Please feel free to reach out with any questions ❤️ I work from home in my at home grooming salon, so your pet will never be alone. Should I need to leave the house for small errands, there is still someone left at home, or the animal will have a safe enclosed room to themselves. My Backyard is attached to the house and fully enclosed with a large wooden privacy fence. Pets are never left outside unattended and are kept in my view at all times.
“We were in town on vacation to visit distilleries. Cassie set up a meet n greet the Sunday before our visit and did a wonderful job showing us around. Day of was easy and Charlie had a great visit. Totally recommend to everyone”
“Look no further, Renee is a GEM! My husband and I were RVing in Kentucky and needed a dog sitter at the last minute. Renee not only took Beans in last minute but truly is amazing with Dogs! Beans had so much fun she was so sad to leave! Thank you so much Renee! If we are ever back in Kentucky we will be reaching out!”

“Megan was lovely! She was willing to watch 3 dogs for our family fairly last minute and was super gracious. We let her know our mild concerns about our dog's anxiety and she was very kind and we knew not to worry. Great opportunity, very flexible within reason and sent us some nice checkin messages to let us know how our dog was acclimating. Great experience!”

About: I’ve been taking care of animals all my life. I have vet tech experience, and dog training experience. Animals are a huge passion of mine. Sometimes I like them more than people 😉 I have a completely open schedule. I do work for myself so I can always work around yours and my schedule to give your furry family members the care and attention they deserve. I know how to read the body language of animals. “Rylee took such great care of my dog Knox! He has separation anxiety, but he adjusted quickly in her calm and welcoming home. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in good hands. She sent regular updates with photos and videos, which I really appreciated. Knox looked relaxed and happy, he clearly felt comfortable with her. I’ll definitely be booking with Rylee again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy sitter on Rover!”

About: I've had a fur baby in my arms since I was a child. Not only did I raise my own, but I've kept my friends, my co-workers and my son's dogs while they were out of town, for a day, a week and sometimes longer. I cared for my son's senior boy while he worked, and then he brought the newest baby to me everyday she when she was a puppy, so she wasn't home alone and I could potty train her with love. I raised our German shepherd with my sons from the time she and my youngest were both just 8 weeks old. When Libby was almost 18 yo we had to have our vet assist her in crossing the rainbow bridge. From there I got my first tiny dog, a little boy named Dexter, Chihuahua 6.6 lbs, and then shortly after I got Danika, Chihuahua 5.5 lbs. They went everywhere with me, vacations, nail salon, shopping. They had a purse they loved to jump right in and 2 booster seats so they were secured safely in my car. I lost Dexter to heart disease at 14 yo and poor little Danika was lost without him. I adopted Lucylle, Chihuahua 6 lbs, she was 2 yo. She was left at the vet by her previous family, that never came back to get her. She was very aggressive towards everyone in the beginning and it took me 3 months of patience and love to bring her out of it. By that time her and Danika were best friends, and loving companions, of course they went everywhere with me. We lost Danika just few months ago, she was 16 yo. That's when I decided to start my journey with Rover, to bring some added joy into mine and Lucylle's life and give other fur babies a safe and loving place to visit when family were away. I retired 04-2024, Lucylle and I have plenty of time on our hands. I bought a patio home, with a nice fenced back yard, where I sit in the morning or anytime during the day/evening and watch Lucylle go out and do her business or just play. We take walks around the neighborhood or down at the walking trail. My neighbors are also dog lovers, they just love little Lucylle. I have a fenced back yard for them to play in with my girl, and I keep a watchful eye on them when they are outside. I can crate your baby if needed, as I do my own sometimes. I have little beds and/or a blanket for them to snuggle when they are napping. Being retired gives me plenty of time for your fur baby (and mine). Caring, playing and loving them as if they were my own.
About: I have been pet sitting since I was 12 years old and have experience with all different types of animals: dogs, cats, horses, reptiles, and small animals like chinchillas, hamsters and birds. In addition to pet sitting, I have a long work history in the vet field working as a veterinary assistant, so I am able to administer medications and work with senior dogs or dogs with disabilities. I also have extensive dog training experience from training pets in basic obedience to task trained service animals. I absolutely love animals, and love helping other families with their amazing pets. Dog training and boarding are my full time jobs, so I am always around to ensure your pets have the absolute best care. Meaning lots of play time, time outside, and tons of cuddles. I myself have four very well behaved and friendly dogs at home, one being my medical alert service dog. I also have a dog room set up specifically for pups, where they can play or take a nap on huge dog bed. Ruffland Kennels are available for crating as well if your pet is crate trained. While our yard is not fenced, Dogs are always leashed or on a long line and supervised while outside. I also have a slat mill and dog pacer treadmill to provide plenty of exercise during inclement weather. I can also provide plenty of enrichment via puzzle toys, lick mats and kongs which is important for mental stimulation.
“I’ve had my dog watched here many times and I love it! Ik my dog is being taken care of and the proof of happiness through photos and videos makes me feel so much better about needing her watched while I’m at work. Highly recommend if you want kind and caring people to watch your fur babies ❤️”

“Melody is fantastic! I was apprehensive since this was my first time with Rover and it was the first time I was leaving my 5.5 month old pup with a sitter! Melody is very friendly and definitely very experienced! I felt at complete ease when I first met her! Zazu seemed to have had a fantastic day with her and her pups! She definitely treated him as one of her own pups! We will see you soon Melody!”

About: I’m a proud dog parent to Bentley, my black and tan miniature dachshund who’s 4 years old. I’m also a proud cat parent to Chong, my orange tabby. Through caring for them every day, I’ve gained plenty of hands-on experience with walks, playtime, feeding routines, training basics, and keeping dogs happy, healthy, and loved. I understand that every dog has their own personality and needs, whether it’s lots of energy to burn or extra cuddle time, and I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for—just like family. Pet care is already a natural part of my daily routine since I care for my own cat and dog. Each day includes feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention and affection. I’m used to balancing structured schedules with flexibility, so fitting in extra walks, drop-ins, or cuddle time with other pets comes naturally to me. Caring for animals isn’t just a task in my day—it’s something I truly enjoy and look forward to. For drop-in visits, I make sure pets are cared for just like they would be if you were home. That includes fresh food and water, potty breaks or litter box cleaning, playtime, and lots of attention so they feel comfortable and loved. For walks, I ensure dogs get safe, enjoyable exercise that matches their energy level while keeping to their normal routine. My goal is always to provide reliable care and peace of mind while you’re away.
About: I am a dog mom of 2, my dogs names are: Beauty, and Skyla. I live on almost an acre, so your pup has plenty of room to play. I have two children who love to spoil and play with dogs so they will get plenty of attention, exercise and love. I am flexible with sitting, boarding and anything else you may need, my son is 16 and helps me with any dog that I care for. I live in a nice quiet neighborhood, so I can walk your dog on their leash as well. I treat my pups like they are my kids, they are spoiled, but they are great with other dogs. I will provide pictures/videos daily so you can see your family member and feel at easy while you are away. I look forward to meeting you and your fur baby. As I do work three jobs. My kids help take care of our own family pets as well as other people's. I ensure any pup I sit has their own water bowl and food bowl. Like I would my own pups. If you notice I don't say dog or animal. My two pups, I call my girls or my pups. They are my kids too and any dog I board, I treat like I would want someone to treat my girls.

“Liberty is friendly, kind, and loved by my corgi, Fred. She was Fred's dog walker for the Summer/Fall of 2022 and even boarded him for a few weekends. She's very responsive to questions and took great photo updates to let me know how he was doing. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking her to care for your pet.”

About: “Hannah is your go-to pet lover! When she’s not greeting folks at the front desk and handling insurance at Baptist Health, she’s probably planning her next adventure, or spending time with her fur babies! Hannah absolutely loves to travel and has a whole crew of four-legged friends at home. She’s got two adorable Mini Aussies who are eight years old, two playful cats that are a year and a half, and even some reptiles she’s been caring for over the past five years. Growing up on a farm means she’s no stranger to looking after all kinds of animals. If you need someone to drop by and check on your pets, she’s available for morning visits between 7 and 8 a.m., or after 5 p.m. on weekdays once she’s off work. Plus, if you give her a little heads-up, weekends can work too!” “Hannah lives in Shepherdsville and happily serves clients in Shepherdsville, Elizabethtown, Lebanon Junction, Boston, and even occasionally Bardstown. Whenever you need someone to drop by and take care of your furry (or scaly!) friends, she’s got you covered.” I have a pretty set schedule that I can work around! I work M-F 8:30-5 in Elizabethtown, I drive from Shepherdsville, so I can stop in before work or after, or both! I can accommodate any requests! I don't like for pets to stay locked in a cage like most boarding facilities do. I like them to feel as if they are at home with you, if needed to be crated while they sleep I can do that as well.

Will 100% be using Julie on our next out of town trip as well!”

“Easy to get along. Great communication. Stella took right to them. Michael and Elizabeth treated her like one of their own pets. Thanks for making my first Rover experience one to be modeled after.”

“She did an amazing job and kept in contact with me throughout the weekend, Sent plenty of photos and even taught him a new trick. Will definitely be asking her to watch him again.”

“Renee did a great job taking care of our two dogs while we were away. She sent regular updates and pictures of them playing and having fun. I think one of our dogs is actually disappointed that we came back because he was having so much fun playing with the other dogs at Renee's house.”

“Melody and her family were the best pet sitters ever!!! I usually feel guilty when I go on a trip and have to leave my dogs behind, but I could tell my dogs had a wonderful time and were well cared for! She sent pics of the dogs playing and updates about the events of their days throughout the trip. It was wonderful! I would recommend her to anyone and will definitely contact her first next time I need a pet sitter. My dogs loved her!!!”
