About: I have helped raise a bottle fed kitten and cared for a senior beagle in his last year. I care for and adopt mostly adult dogs, but I haven't met one I don't like! I work from home, so my schedule is flexible to fit in lots of home visits with overnight stay possible! I have my own dog that goes out 3 times a day already, so fitting in pet care is a breeze! I have an apartment with 2 bedrooms where dogs can sleep separate from my own dog. About: We have owned dogs since we each were children. Our dogs have been from puppies until they moved across the rainbow bridge. Mostly small to mid size dogs. Misty is home almost all the time. Tom works and is home in the evening. Week days are available with Wednesday evening pick up by 5 PM. Saturday daytime is also fine. Over night stay is available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Special arrangements could be made for Wednesday or Sunday night. We have two dogs who are each 10 years old. They will need to adapt to having other dogs visit. They have crates, and baby gate to separate as needed until all dogs are comfortable. We will give all pets plenty of attention. We have an empty room where visiting pets can spend time. We have a rope tied from tree to tree with dog leashes attached for free exercise and potty time in the yard. This keeps them safe and prevents running away. For overnight care the spare room will be supplies with a soft blanket for a bed.

About: I am a doctoral candidate in Biology at UofL, so you know I'm good at organization and scheduling! I think my time as a graduate student has sharpened my reasoning and communication skills as well. It's also increased my animal handling experience (mice)! I've had pets my whole life, mostly cats and dogs. My most recent pet is an elderly shi tzu with a surprising amount of energy! Apollo is a very skiddish cat, but we've definitely earned each others' trust. I can drop by to check on your pet, take them out for a walk (if weekday, must be before 10am or after 5pm, can be flexible), check on them periodically to feed them, or house sit (weekends only). I am a grad student, so I'm usually busy during weekdays 10am-5pm. Most of my work now is away from the bench, so I can be a little flexible about those hours Weekends are generally open! I love in an apartment that doesn't allow animals so I can't keep any here. I can however watch your furry friend at your house or take them on walks around the neighborhood!

For dogs staying in my home, we have a generous space, a calm environment, and two resident dogs who are well-socialized and accustomed to sharing their space with visitors. For cats, I have a dedicated room that belongs entirely to them, completely separate from the dogs. Their day includes multiple play sessions, consistent feeding times, and unhurried morning time with me, typically two hours, where I am simply present with them in their space. With my background in shelter medicine, informal veterinary support, and years of caring for animals with complex health and behavioral needs, I am equipped to handle the unexpected calmly and competently. I know when something is routine and when something needs attention, and I will always communicate transparently with you about your pet's well-being. My goal in every setting is simple: your pet should feel safe, seen, and at ease. Whether I am in my home or yours, that standard does not change.

About: I am a special education teacher who is passionate dogs and needs a side gig!! I have two of my own very spoiled dogs named Maple and Mackie. I currently volunteer and foster for Woodstock Animal Foundation. I am highly motivated and experienced with dog care. I take directions well and I promise I will meet your pup’s unique needs! I’m currently teaching full time and will be able to take walks off and on in the afternoons, most weekends, some holidays, and other school breaks. During the summer, I have much more flexibility!
