About: Welcome! We're the Phenix family—a family of six (plus our two sweet dogs!). We understand that leaving your dog with someone else is a big decision, and we strive to provide a safe, loving, and fun home away from home. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which means visiting dogs are rarely left alone for more than a few hours and have plenty of opportunities to get outside. Safety is one of our top priorities. Our spacious backyard is fully fenced with a secure 4-foot wrought iron fence, giving dogs lots of room to run and play. We know some pups are talented escape artists, so our gates are secured with locks, and every guest wears an AirTag during their stay as an extra precaution—just in case we have a little Houdini on our hands! Our 2 resident pups are Athena (a Collie) and Lulu (a Beagle mix). Both are 10 years old, gentle, and experienced hosts. We've been dog sitting for over 9 years, so they're very comfortable welcoming new furry friends into our home. They're great at reading other dogs' body language and are happy to play or simply give visiting dogs their space if that's what they prefer. To keep everyone happy and healthy, all dogs are fed separately to prevent food-related conflicts, and we only give treats and food provided by each owner to help avoid upset stomachs or dietary issues. We look forward to welcoming your pup into our family and treating them like one of our own while you're away! Our day starts with dogs being let out to go to the bathroom at 6am then breakfast. We have had some late sleepers stay with us, so we do adjust for our sleepy friends. Dogs have access to the backyard whenever they would like and we have plenty of dog toys for them to enjoy. We are happy to accommodate any feeding schedule, so we can keep your pup as close to their normal routine as possible. We have a fully fenced in yard with locks on the gates. Since we know some dogs are great at escaping, we have an air tag just in case.

Last year, we decided to foster kittens for the first time, and we quickly discovered that we are not very good at the whole “give them back” part. I’m comfortable administering medications, feeding, refreshing water, cleaning litter boxes, playing with energetic cats and kittens, and, of course, providing plenty of scratches and cuddles when requested by management. I’m also a pediatric ICU nurse, so following detailed instructions, paying attention to small changes, and staying calm when something doesn’t seem quite right comes naturally to me. About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with years of experience caring for dogs with very different breeds, personalities, energy levels, ages, and needs. I’ve grown up around pit bulls and retrievers and am currently a proud Chiweenie owner. One thing I’ve learned from caring for dogs is that understanding their behavior is just as important as feeding them and taking them for walks. I’ve had experience recognizing when a dog is frightened or overstimulated and giving them the space and reassurance they need. For example, when my childhood dog became overwhelmed after a stressful interaction, I took him somewhere quiet so he could calm down. During thunderstorms and fireworks, when he would tremble with fear, I would bring him somewhere comfortable and stay with him until he settled. I’m also the person at family gatherings who naturally ends up keeping an eye on the dogs—making sure they’re getting enough exercise and attention while also making sure younger kids give them appropriate space and treat them respectfully. I’m comfortable with walks, playtime, bathing, and overnight care. I enjoy both tiring out an energetic dog and providing a calm presence for a nervous one. I’ve also cared for cats and generally find that they warm up to me pretty quickly. Most importantly, I will enjoy taking the time to learn your pet’s individual personality, routines, and boundaries. About: Welcome! We're the Phenix family—a family of six (plus our two sweet dogs!). We understand that leaving your dog with someone else is a big decision, and we strive to provide a safe, loving, and fun home away from home. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which means visiting dogs are rarely left alone for more than a few hours and have plenty of opportunities to get outside. Safety is one of our top priorities. Our spacious backyard is fully fenced with a secure 4-foot wrought iron fence, giving dogs lots of room to run and play. We know some pups are talented escape artists, so our gates are secured with locks, and every guest wears an AirTag during their stay as an extra precaution—just in case we have a little Houdini on our hands! Our 2 resident pups are Athena (a Collie) and Lulu (a Beagle mix). Both are 10 years old, gentle, and experienced hosts. We've been dog sitting for over 9 years, so they're very comfortable welcoming new furry friends into our home. They're great at reading other dogs' body language and are happy to play or simply give visiting dogs their space if that's what they prefer. To keep everyone happy and healthy, all dogs are fed separately to prevent food-related conflicts, and we only give treats and food provided by each owner to help avoid upset stomachs or dietary issues. We look forward to welcoming your pup into our family and treating them like one of our own while you're away! Our day starts with dogs being let out to go to the bathroom at 6am then breakfast. We have had some late sleepers stay with us, so we do adjust for our sleepy friends. Dogs have access to the backyard whenever they would like and we have plenty of dog toys for them to enjoy. We are happy to accommodate any feeding schedule, so we can keep your pup as close to their normal routine as possible. We have a fully fenced in yard with locks on the gates. Since we know some dogs are great at escaping, we have an air tag just in case.
