About: I have always loved animals, which was apparent pretty early on in my childhood. I was interested in learning everything I could about all different types of animals, and how to care for them. That passion has only grown over the years! I started as a volunteer at the local animal shelter when I was young, then in college I raised my own fur baby Mia. I took her to puppy obedience classes where they taught us how to train our own dogs. After she was grown, I started volunteering again at Gateway Area Humane Society. There, I was involved with daily animal care, spay & neuter clinics, news interviews, and social events! Once I stopped volunteering, I started Kal’s Critter Care- my pet sitting business. I have done this for two years now, and have worked with multiple different types of animals! I’m currently doing my pet-sitting business full time! “I had captured a stray cat and then found out she had 3 kittens. We were planning to go on vacation in October, but I desperately needed to find someone who could take care of this family. Not an easy task. I discovered Ariel through Rover. She agreed to take them. Mama kitty was still quite wild and had not been outdoors since I captured her. She was able to stay in the large dog kennel/cage in which we brought her. She stayed outside on Ariels covered porch which was perfect for her and gave her a chance to finally wean off the kittens, which was long overdue! Kittens stayed together inside her house. All of the cats were terrified at first. One kitten and Mama kitty remained fearful and would not let Ariel pet them or pick them up, but I'm happy to report this was temporary. The day we brought them home, the kittens all relaxed and began purring loudly. I was afraid that since we were gone almost 3 weeks they would all revert back being unsocialized, but that was not the case. Even wild Mama who still won't let me pet her, is relaxed and plays sometimes with kittens! I would recommend Ariel as a sitter and I am grateful she helped us be able to go on vacation.”

About: We've owned and cared for dogs for over 35 years. Our first dogs were a Lab and a Golden Retriever then a Pug and a Puggle and now the parents of a Lab/Husky mix. We provide loving care with plenty of exercise in our non-smoking, fenced home. We live one block from Jacobson Park and its wonderful dog parks so rest assured your fur baby will receive plenty of attention, exercise, fun and love during its stay. I work from home and my spouse is a stay at home spouse, so we are available to provide constant care, exercise, play time and supervision for your fur baby. Whether is romping in the fenced yard or walks to the dog park, your furry friend will enjoy being part of the pack with our dog. Our fenced yard and quiet cul de sac on a golf course and located a block from 2 dog parks is a great place for your dog to stretch its legs and play to its heart's desire. About: I have 3 dogs of my own and have cared for many! For long periods or short periods, I know how hard it is to trust someone to watch your pups. My house is completely dog proof at this point. They will definitely be in good hands! I started rover because as a pet parent, the thought of finding someone to trust with my dog makes me so nervous. I really want to ease others minds and know their dog is in the hands of someone who LOVES to do this. I really enjoy making these dogs happy and taken care of. I truly treat them like my own, which is like my children! This is now my full time job so I will be home fully with your pet unless I have other drop-in visits to complete. My dogs are very friendly and like playing with others. Each of my dogs are AKC certified CGC (canine good citizens). My yard is fenced in and completely secure. My house is doggy proof, no one is eating anything they shouldn’t on my watch! Everything that a dog could get into is put up. I have a pool opened in the summer with stairs that the dogs can go into, also separately fenced for the pups that can’t swim. Keeping a clean and sanitized house is important to me for my dogs and your dogs health. My couch covers are washed weekly and my floors and my dog’s crates are cleaned with kennel sol which kills most dog related illnesses. My dogs are vaccinated. You are more than welcome inside my house to see the set up!

The routine with Bentley is feeding morning and night and of course treats in between. We go on a daily walk and potty breaks every 2 hours I have a fenced in yard. I am CPR certified and have experience bathing, grooming, pet sitting, bottle feeding, medicating, and overall caring and loving and playing with animals. I work a full time job in Richmond Kentucky at an emergency clinic! I would have to schedule pick ups and drop offs but that’s the biggest part. Your dog MUST be cat friendly. If they are not, I cannot accommodate as I have four and will not risk their well-being. I don’t have a fenced in yard, so I would have to leash walk but we are on two acres. I do have a dog park about 5 minutes from my home so I could transport there and back and that park IS fenced in. I am able to feed three times a day if needed and 2-3 potty breaks! Playtime is also important so I dedicate about 10-15 minutes twice a day (morning and night) for play. We have plenty of toys as well. For cats I have a separate room of the house they can call their own so I can only accommodate one kitty at a time as I have 4 cats myself.
