“Brent is a good person and a great dog sitter. Maple and Mozzie's (Brent's dog) first meeting went great. They played very well together. The day we dropped off Maple at Brent's home, he and his wife were very friendly and inviting with us and our dog Maple. They explained everything involved with Maple's stay and activities in their home. He kept us updated with pictures and texts. I would definitely recommend Brent and Rover to other pet owners.”

“Valerie and Brian have a peaceful and clean home. They were kind and communicative. I appreciated the pics of our dog during his stay. He gets nervous around other dogs and did very well with their sweet dog Ollie! Wonderful sitters! Highly recommend!”

She is truly an expert on all things related to cats, so my cat was in the best hands and I learned lots of new information on best practices to be a better cat mom :) Kelso gave comprehensive updates on a daily basis and really went above and beyond to make sure my little boy was comfortable and taken care of. I highly recommend Kelso—my cat will definitely be back during my next trip!”

“Ann was great with my little dog. She was easy to communicate with and answered my questions quickly. I was surprised to see Ann had 2 large dogs of her own. That’s on me, I should have asked if she had large dogs. I got really nervous about leaving Scruffy because his back has been injured a couple of times by larger dogs. Ann was very reassuring and took good care of Scruffy. She also sent lots of photos to help easy my mind. I will be using Ann again.”

“We went out of town for a week leaving our one year old Bulldog with Nef. He came to meet our dog and even accommodated transportation. My dog is very picky on who she likes however it was love from first sight. This was the first time we had to board our dog and now we have our go to person for life. Thanks Nef for the outstanding service!”

“Our puppy had a wonderful time staying with Ana and her dog, Mia. Ana was an excellent sitter very accommodating, communicative, and easy to work with. We felt completely at ease and would happily book with her again.”

“It was such a great experience with Amber during the holidays! This was our first leaving our puppy and I'm glad it was a positive experience. “Buddy, Belle, and I are so blessed to have had Brooke check in while I was away. From the moment she stepped in the door for our meet and greet, we felt comfortable and safe with Brooke. I appreciate the pictures she took during her visits. It was evident that Buddy and Belle were having fun with Brooke and were well cared for. They even let the cat out of the bag when I returned and told me that Brooke is AWESOME and they would love to have her back the next time I have to go away. When my cats talk, I listen! Thank you, Brooke, for the TLC you gave my fur babies; it meant the world to us.”

“Addelynn was great watching my cats, and would definitely recommend her! Super easy communication to schedule and coordinate keys with her. She took care of both my cats & sent updates and photos for my peace of mind while I was away. It seems like she already became close friends with my cat Ricky who was purring in her lap after only 2 visits, which makes having to be away even easier <3”

“I had an excellent first experience hiring Tiffany to look after my cats while I was out of town. When Tiffany came by for a meet and greet, I could tell that she truly understands cats and their unique needs. Tiffany was communicative, arrived on time for drop-ins, and shared thoughtful and informative updates.”

I'm super happy with this experience and highly recommend his services.”

About: I grew up on a farm in NC surrounded by animals, and dogs have always been a big part of my life. Caring for pets comes naturally to me, and I enjoy getting to know each dog's unique personality and needs. I recently moved to Lexington with my husband, who is a veterinarian, which has given me an even greater appreciation for pet health and well-being. Whether your dog is an energetic puppy, a senior needing extra patience, or somewhere in between, I'll provide attentive, reliable care while you're away! I currently work part-time and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to accommodate walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting throughout the week. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and make sure each pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, and care. When caring for pets in a client's home, I do my best to maintain their normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure. Whether it's walks, playtime, feeding, medications, or simply providing companionship, I follow each owner's instructions closely and treat every home and pet with the same care and respect I would my own. As a pet owner myself to an 11½-year-old Maltipoo, I understand how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your furry family member.

About: I've had one or more dogs my entire life, so caring for them has always been second nature to me. I genuinely love dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities, and I enjoy spending my days playing, going on walks, and giving them the attention they deserve. I'm responsible, dependable, and home for most of the day, so your pet will receive plenty of supervision, playtime, and companionship. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing fetch, relaxing on the couch, or curling up in bed for cuddles, I'm happy to make them feel comfortable, loved, and right at home. I understand that every dog is unique, and I'll treat your pet like they're part of my own family. My goal is to make sure they're happy, safe, and well cared for while you're away, so you can have peace of mind knowing they're in good hands. As a college student, I have a very flexible schedule and don't have any other jobs, allowing me to dedicate plenty of time to caring for your pets. While I have classes throughout the day, they're spread out, so I'm able to come home between classes to let dogs out, take them for walks, play with them, and give them lots of attention. I spend most of my time at home, which means your pet won't be left alone for long periods. My schedule allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, exercise, companionship, and plenty of love throughout the day. I live in a spacious townhome with a fenced-in courtyard, giving dogs a safe outdoor space for potty breaks and fresh air. I also have a friendly 1½-year-old Australian Shepherd mix who absolutely loves other dogs. He primarily stays in my roommate's room, so if your dog prefers their own space or isn't interested in interacting with other dogs, it's easy to accommodate. I want every dog in my care to feel as comfortable and at home as possible. They're welcome on the furniture, on the couch, and even in bed if that's what they're used to at home. I believe keeping your dog's routine as consistent as possible helps them feel relaxed while you're away. I'm also an extremely clean and organized person, both in my own home and when caring for someone else's. Whether I'm watching your dog in my home or yours, I'll treat your space with the same respect and care that I would my own. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free environment where your pet feels happy, comfortable, and well cared for.
About: When I was around four, I started to go across the street and cat-sit for this empty-nest couple. They were older, and so they wanted to travel more. The lady owned two cats, a Birman and an Oriental Shorthair. The lady used to take them to cat shows, and they were her most prized possession. They had grandkids to see and wanted to explore as many different countries as they could. They used to say, "Maggie, you are so convenient, and I am glad that you are here so we can leave and do things that we love more often." My mom never once told me to go and do my job. I woke up and was ready to go see Bootsy and Bella. They moved when I was 16, and I was their sitter until the day they left. I realized that for people to do the things they loved, they needed an easy, stress-free, and affordable sitter for their animals. Anyway, I started a show kennel for my Italian Greyhounds because of her, and now this is my full-time gig. I run a full-time boarding and daycare facility at my house. I am open for boarding and daycare 7 days a week. I own show dogs, and so I am home training and working on my websites while the dogs have multiple areas and an outdoor fenced area to play. I work on my computer for 3-5 hours a day and play with and walk the dogs while I rotate in between that. I take lots of pictures during the day and have an instagram that I post them on. The dogs rotate among the kitchen, the basement, and the outdoor enclosure. All dogs have access to water 24/7. The outdoor enclosure has a roof, and I run a fan when it is hot, in accordance with USDA guidelines. If the weather is bad, I walk the dogs or just let them play together in the basement or kitchen.

I also have experience training puppies, helping them develop good behaviors early on and ensuring they have the structure they need to thrive. I have a park near me and I do take my own dog to the dog park every chance I get via Lyft and plenty of toys for your fur babies!
“Andrew and his family were amazing sitters. The responsiveness and communication was off the charts. My dog is typically afraid but with Andrew, she quickly became acclimated and comfortable. I was able to see my pet throughout her stay with Andrew in pictures and videos. She appeared to be so happy getting exercise and exploring with his daughter. Do not hesitate to book Andrew! He is such an outstanding sitter and I would recommend him to anyone in the area for their pet.”

“Guadalupe was great with our girls. So easy to communicate with, kept us updated with pics and videos and even provided a great restaurant recommendation. If we come back through Lexington, we will return to Guadalupe.”

Kimberly helped her get acquainted with the new surroundings and took her for SO many walks! When I picked my husky up at the end of the day, she was very happy and very tired! I would definitely contact again and recommend Kimberly. I felt very comfortable, she was very communicative & clearly cared about my husky having a good day too!”

About: I've been caring for pets for over 8 years through family, friends, and by helping manage my sister's Rover clients. During that time, I've gained experience with dogs and cats of all ages, personalities, and care needs. One of my greatest strengths is working with senior pets. I helped care for and train my own dogs throughout their lives, including into their senior years at ages 15 and 17. This taught me patience, attentiveness, and the importance of maintaining routines, monitoring health, and providing gentle, loving care. I also have experience caring for pets that require intensive monitoring and strict medication schedules. I understand how important consistency is when a pet has medical, age-related, or special needs, and I'm comfortable following detailed care instructions, administering medications as directed, and keeping a close eye on any changes in behavior or health. In addition to caring for dogs and cats, I've assisted with dog sitting, cat sitting, and house sitting for family, friends, and Rover clients. I understand how important it is for pet owners to know their pets and homes are in trustworthy hands. Whether your pet needs playtime, walks, companionship, specialized care, or simply a calm and caring presence, I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and provide regular updates so you can have peace of mind during your time away. I am currently in graduate school, which gives me a flexible schedule that works well for pet care. I am only in class for a few hours each day, so I have plenty of time throughout the day for walks, check-ins, feeding, and companionship. In addition to my weekday availability, I am completely free on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This allows me to take on weekend house sitting, extended stays, and more flexible scheduling needs without conflict. Overall, my routine makes it easy for me to provide consistent, reliable care and attention to pets during both weekdays and weekends. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize their safety, comfort, and routine above all else. I understand that pets feel most secure in their familiar environment, so I focus on maintaining their normal schedule as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions provided by the owner. I am experienced with house sitting, dog sitting, cat sitting, walks, and drop-in visits, and I approach each service with the same level of responsibility and care. I make sure doors are secured, leashes are always used properly on walks, and pets are never left in unsafe situations. I also pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and well-being so I can quickly notice any changes or concerns. In addition, I respect my clients’ homes and treat them with care and professionalism. I keep spaces clean, follow all instructions carefully, and ensure everything is left just as I found it. My goal is to provide peace of mind by creating a safe, trustworthy, and stress-free experience for both pets and their owners.

About: I have grown up with dogs in the house my whole life. I am especially comfortable taking care of older and senior dogs and adapting to their needs (ex. blind/deaf) and have lived with small to medium breeds. However, I am also experienced with taking care of younger and larger breeds (ex. 1 year old English Labs). I have recently graduated from my undergraduate program, and have plenty of free time while looking for full-time employment. I do have a daughter, which may limit certain appointment times but should be flexible as I do have relatives to help, should I need to check on your pets. Experienced with young and elderly dogs, I am always sure to keep an eye on them when they are outside to prevent any escape or injury, regardless of a fence. If needed, I can also sit with special animals on a schedule, to ensure they go to sleep after meals or a walk.

During walks and visits, I prioritize safety by using secure leashes, monitoring surroundings, and giving pets the patience and care they deserve.

About: I’ve owned dogs and cats since I was a kid my family loves animals. I dog sit for family friends and have taken care of animals as veterinarian tech. I’m currently a student at UK and take a mix of online and short in person classes. My schedule is pretty relaxed as I don’t have classes everyday of the week. When I do have class I’m home a lot between classes and have time to check on animals every 2 hours. I live near campus so I can take your pet on walks around campus or to the park. I live in a pet free and smoke free apartment and can easily crate your pet if needed.
About: I have extensive hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, small mammals, reptiles, and livestock. Before joining Rover, I personally cared for over 80 different pets, gaining experience with many personalities, routines, and care needs. As a certified veterinary assistant with over 400 hours of clinical experience, I’m comfortable administering medications, monitoring health, and caring for senior or special-needs animals. I’ve worked with young animals, seniors, anxious pets, and high-energy pets, and I always tailor my care to each animal. What sets me apart is my combination of real veterinary knowledge and proven, multi-species pet-sitting experience. I treat every animal as if they were my own and aim to give pet owners complete peace of mind while they’re away. Pet care is a consistent part of my daily routine. As a freshman at the University of Kentucky studying Animal Science, I’m organized with my time and have my own transportation, allowing me to provide reliable and flexible care. I’m available for before-class visits, midday check-ins, and afternoon, evening, and bedtime care. I’m used to balancing school with animal care and make sure every pet receives attentive, dependable care at each visit. Keeping pets on their normal routine is a priority for me, and I always plan around feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and quality time so they feel comfortable and well cared for. I care for pets by focusing on their comfort, routine, and individual needs, whether they are in my home or in a client’s home. I take time to learn each animal’s preferences, energy level, and daily schedule so they feel safe and settled. In a client’s home, I maintain their normal routine, provide feeding, exercise, enrichment, and companionship, and keep the space clean and respected. I make sure pets get plenty of attention and consistency, especially those who may be shy, anxious, or need extra reassurance. When pets are in my home, I provide a calm, supervised environment with structured routines, enrichment, and plenty of one-on-one care. I prioritize safety, cleanliness, and comfort so pets feel relaxed and cared for, just like they would at home.
About: I have had a dog from the time I was 12 until I was 22! I know how to take care of all ages, from puppies to our beloved senior doggies. I’m in search for my new study buddy to keep me company while I do my flash cards! I am currently in medical school, and my class schedule is predictable but flexible. With a low amount of required activities, I am available to spend more time with your babies! I usually study from home, which means we can both keep each-other company :) I have experience in dog sitting and house sitting. I will be more than happy to spend as much time as possible in your home so that your pets stay on as normal of a routine as possible. I care for pets like I care for my patients- with love, responsibility, and devotion!
About: I have been around pets my whole life, but dogs are my favorite! I love them all, from puppies to the senior friends. I regularly care for my family dogs and I have experience caring for friends dogs and I have several regular clients. I have experience with puppy care and training, bathing, feeding, and administering medication. I also have experience with senior dog care nearing the end of life and all others in between. I have no trouble creating the special bond needed with most dog personalities. Dogs are truly our best friends! I play and exercise my own dogs daily. I understand the importance of keeping dogs engaged, healthy, and active. I do have a part-time job, but schedules are flexible given enough notice. I am so excited to care for your pup! I like to make sure the doggie is a happy, tired doggie when I do have to leave them. They love me and know fun is in store when I’m around. I play fetch and frisbee in the backyard and go on long walks around the neighborhood. If we can’t be outside I’ll play games with them indoors to challenge their minds and keep them occupied. Then of course there’s snuggle time together until they’re ready to nap or go to sleep in their crates or bed.

“Kelso was absolutely phenomenal!!

“Erin and her family are phenomenal! They sent pics and updates everyday. My dog, Tilly, really took to them and if she feels at ease, I feel at ease. I would 100% use them again to care for my sweet pup.”

“Winnie was great watching my dog while I was out of town. He came home happy and relaxed. She sent pictures and was very communicative and flexible with pick up and drop off. The whole process was really easy and stress-free. Thank you so much.”

“Laura was a great communicator and made our pup feel at home! She took great photos and also accommodated last minute requests graciously. Highly recommend!”

“First time leaving our dogs with anyone outside of the family and Kristen was great. Frequent communication, attention to detail and lots of playtime. We were very impressed.”

“Accommodated me on short notice. Nathan has strong attentiveness. Inquired about my preferences and if I had specific requests like wanting photos / my pups schedule in order to provide optimal care to him during their time together.”

“Went well, my pup seems happy and well taken care of. A little hard to communicate, but they were flexible with my pickup and drop off times. They took him to the dog park and on multiple walks.”

“Excellent!! These are the NICEST people to take care of my dog!!! I will always check with them first! Polite, considerate, accommodating, reliable and professional.”

“Jayde was amazing watching my dogs. She’s very caring for the pets and actually cares for them. She even watched them an extra night for me when an unexpected event happened. She’s great!!”

“Brian clearly treated our beagle very well! He gave her plenty of exercise (which she needs), and kept us appraised on how she was doing. A very good caregiver, all in all!”

“Jennifer is so thorough, and she and her dog have provided a delightful environment for Lulu to play, rest and enjoy herself! Lulu highly recommends her! (Told me so herself!)”

About: Lifelong animal lover with two dogs and a horse currently. I work as a registered nurse but my alternate career path would’ve been veterinary medicine! One of my dogs is medically fragile so I am comfortable caring for dogs who require a little extra attention for their needs. I work full-time as a flight nurse but my schedule is incredibly flexible and I have whole weeks off at a time. During my on weeks, I have availability for drop-ins on the days that I am home. My goal is to take care of your animals the same way I would expect mine to be cared for, in an environment that they are comfortable in!
