About: Lifelong animal lover with two dogs and a horse currently. I work as a registered nurse but my alternate career path would’ve been veterinary medicine! One of my dogs is medically fragile so I am comfortable caring for dogs who require a little extra attention for their needs. About: When I was around four, I started to go across the street and cat-sit for this empty-nest couple. They were older, and so they wanted to travel more. The lady owned two cats, a Birman and an Oriental Shorthair. The lady used to take them to cat shows, and they were her most prized possession. They had grandkids to see and wanted to explore as many different countries as they could. They used to say, "Maggie, you are so convenient, and I am glad that you are here so we can leave and do things that we love more often." My mom never once told me to go and do my job. I woke up and was ready to go see Bootsy and Bella. They moved when I was 16, and I was their sitter until the day they left. I realized that for people to do the things they loved, they needed an easy, stress-free, and affordable sitter for their animals. Anyway, I started a show kennel for my Italian Greyhounds because of her, and now this is my full-time gig. I run a full-time boarding and daycare facility at my house. I am open for boarding and daycare 7 days a week. I own show dogs, and so I am home training and working on my websites while the dogs have multiple areas and an outdoor fenced area to play. I work on my computer for 3-5 hours a day and play with and walk the dogs while I rotate in between that. I take lots of pictures during the day and have an instagram that I post them on. The dogs rotate among the kitchen, the basement, and the outdoor enclosure. All dogs have access to water 24/7. The outdoor enclosure has a roof, and I run a fan when it is hot, in accordance with USDA guidelines. If the weather is bad, I walk the dogs or just let them play together in the basement or kitchen.

About: I have grown up with dogs in the house my whole life. I am especially comfortable taking care of older and senior dogs and adapting to their needs (ex. blind/deaf) and have lived with small to medium breeds. However, I am also experienced with taking care of younger and larger breeds (ex. 1 year old English Labs). I have recently graduated from my undergraduate program, and have plenty of free time while looking for full-time employment. I do have a daughter, which may limit certain appointment times but should be flexible as I do have relatives to help, should I need to check on your pets. Experienced with young and elderly dogs, I am always sure to keep an eye on them when they are outside to prevent any escape or injury, regardless of a fence. If needed, I can also sit with special animals on a schedule, to ensure they go to sleep after meals or a walk.

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and truly love getting to understand what makes each one unique. I raised and fully trained my own puppy, who is now five years old, and recently completed a Dog Psychology class focused on reducing stress and promoting positive behavior. I’m also pursuing research in animal cognition, which helps me better understand how animals think, learn, and communicate. I’m comfortable caring for pets of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need extra patience and care. I’ve also looked after cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, turtles, and I currently have a seven-year-old leopard gecko. I treat every animal I care for with the same patience, attention, and love that I give my own pets. As a college student with a flexible schedule, I have plenty of time to spend with your pet throughout the day. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, or just hanging out for some company, I’m around and available. I know how important it is to keep pets feeling loved and comfortable while you’re away, and I genuinely enjoy the time I get to spend with them! When I care for pets, I treat them like they’re my own for the time I get to spend with them. I make sure they stick to their usual routine (feeding, walks, playtime, and cuddles) so they feel comfortable and safe. I love sending photo updates throughout the day because I know how reassuring it is to see your pet happy while you’re away (and I just can’t resist snapping cute pictures!). As a college student, I truly relish any opportunity to have a “pet” for a little while. Being around animals brings me so much joy! About: Hi, I’m Esther! I’m a college student who has been on Rover for over two years. Most of my experience is with younger dogs but I love taking care of seniors too. I currently don’t have any pups so I pet-sit to stay active and continue being around animals. I am a student with a lot of mid day and weekend availability. I’m very flexible, especially on holidays and during school breaks. I have a lot of experience house sitting as well and I love overnight visits. About: I have been around pets my whole life, but dogs are my favorite! I love them all, from puppies to the senior friends. I regularly care for my family dogs and I have experience caring for friends dogs and I have several regular clients. I have experience with puppy care and training, bathing, feeding, and administering medication. I also have experience with senior dog care nearing the end of life and all others in between. I have no trouble creating the special bond needed with most dog personalities. Dogs are truly our best friends! I play and exercise my own dogs daily. I understand the importance of keeping dogs engaged, healthy, and active. I do have a part-time job, but schedules are flexible given enough notice. I am so excited to care for your pup! I like to make sure the doggie is a happy, tired doggie when I do have to leave them. They love me and know fun is in store when I’m around. I play fetch and frisbee in the backyard and go on long walks around the neighborhood. If we can’t be outside I’ll play games with them indoors to challenge their minds and keep them occupied. Then of course there’s snuggle time together until they’re ready to nap or go to sleep in their crates or bed.

About: Lifelong animal lover with two dogs and a horse currently. I work as a registered nurse but my alternate career path would’ve been veterinary medicine! One of my dogs is medically fragile so I am comfortable caring for dogs who require a little extra attention for their needs. I work full-time as a flight nurse but my schedule is incredibly flexible and I have whole weeks off at a time. During my on weeks, I have availability for drop-ins on the days that I am home. I spend most of my time at home, which means your pet won't be left alone for long periods. My schedule allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, exercise, companionship, and plenty of love throughout the day. I live in a spacious townhome with a fenced-in courtyard, giving dogs a safe outdoor space for potty breaks and fresh air. I also have a friendly 1½-year-old Australian Shepherd mix who absolutely loves other dogs. He primarily stays in my roommate's room, so if your dog prefers their own space or isn't interested in interacting with other dogs, it's easy to accommodate. I want every dog in my care to feel as comfortable and at home as possible. They're welcome on the furniture, on the couch, and even in bed if that's what they're used to at home. I believe keeping your dog's routine as consistent as possible helps them feel relaxed while you're away.
