About: I’ve taken care of dogs basicly all my life. I currently have an Australian Shepherd that is five years old. He is good with other dogs. He has separation anxiety, so I know how to take care of that as well. I work full-time at the University. I go on daily walks with my own dogs. I’m pretty free after work. You’re dog will feel at home:) I have a fenced in yard and I live in a house, so I have plenty of space for your pet. I also make sure that they get plenty of exercise.

About: I have cared for lots of animals since I can even remember. I grew up around pets and was taught to always be kind and caring towards them. I’m currently in the military so my days are always free after 4pm and I get an hour and a half lunch to stop in and check on pets! I have 3 cats currently who are very spoiled! I also used to work in a vet clinic so if your pet has medication that need administered I can do it!

About: I have had a love for animals my whole life. Starting in 2008, I got a certificate in Veterinary Assistant and worked in a clinic for about 3 years. Taking a break, I joined the Army, serving 3 years active duty, then dropping down to the Reserves, where I currently continue to serve totaling about 14 1/2 years so far. My husband is active duty Army as well. At our last duty station I started my degree for Veterinary Technician, which I continue to complete and also worked at Banfield for 2 1/2 years. I take my dog on walks almost daily. I currently am a stay at home mom, also an Army Reservist. Lots of time currently. I do plan on looking for a part time job in a veterinary clinic in the fall. I have one dog who is 9 and we have a good size backyard. My dog is currently kennel trained for when we are not home so I’m okay with kenneling your pet if needed.

Our fence is thoroughly checked weekly for any holes, loose boards, and other defects that could lead to escapees. All doors, except for our dedicated office space, are closed during the day, but dogs have access to our shared family spaces. While we do not have a doggy door for backyard access, we do potty breaks approx every two hours or as needed. In our home, it is myself, my husband, and our dog Jessie, who is friendly to all. Although she is friendly, we do pick up all toys, chews, and food when other dogs are in our home. That being said, dogs will also be fed separate regardless of personality simply because dogs act different in homes that are not theirs. We find that this keeps both our dog and yours safe in our home.

We’ve fostered, volunteered, and have been active in our animal shelter. I have background handling both small and big dogs, dogs with high energy, and defeated dogs who have had overall rough lives. If we see any dog in need, no matter if it’s at 11pm, in the rain, or running through the roads, we will without hesitation, stop to help give that dog whatever it is they may need. We have come across many strays and have helped reunite them with their families or have found them forever homes with the help of our local animal shelters. Our dream life is working alongside a local animal rescue back home after military life and continuing to rescue & rehabilitate more dogs in need! What you can expect: I separate dogs at feeding times and keep them in their individual crate overnight. This is for their safety as I wouldn’t want anything harmful happening to them overnight when I am not watching! They may behave well in your home but in new environments, I want to take extra precautions. The dogs are not inside for more than 2 hours as I let them outside for potty breaks and outdoor playtime often, with weather conditions kept in mind. My goal for drop-ins is to make each visit feel familiar and stress-free by sticking to their routine as much as possible and caring for them just like you would!

“I don't even know where to start! Jennifer was just that amazing! She had patience with me as I had to adjust pick-up and drop-off times. My babies are rescues and I was afraid they would think they were being abandoned again. I even bought anxiety calming treats. Turns out I was the only one nervous. So nervous, I forgot to bring their wet food (we mix it with kibble). Jennifer offered to send her husband to pick it up! Jennifer assured me that she would treat like they were hers and that they would be more than ok. She kept her word! We got constant photo and text updates. Not only did she ay with them, her family, including their dog, did too!! They cuddled and loved on them just like I would. She spoiled them with treats just as much we do. My puppies had never walked on a leash before (only 3mths old) and when we picked them up, Sailor and Shiloh were walking on their leash!! When it was time to say goodbye, her daughter gave both Sailor and Shiloh hugs. It was super sweet, and it was just a small sign, to me, of how well they were cared for and loved on.
