My previous dog helped me get through the rough days when I lost my mom to cancer. About: Hello, How it all began. I grew up in a rural setting with multiple dogs, indoor and outdoor cats and for a few years chickens. One specific dog named Maxine was a beautiful intelligent, gentle Doberman that stole my heart. The bond I shared with her was special and she was my best friend. I knew from a young age I wanted to take care of animals. Fast forward, I'm a parent to 3 active kids, 2 sleepy cats, and 2 dogs (Pablo & Van). Over the past 10 years we've had a guinea pig, dwarf frogs, a hamster, and a Betta fish as well. A few years ago our family fostered 11 sweet dogs and 2 kittens. We have done in home care for a friends pup when they went out of town. My oldest daughter and I volunteered at the Lawrence Humane Society in the past for a year. Our big family of animal lovers would love to care for your pet. I work from home each week. This gives me ample availability to care for your pet. My husband is also available multiple days a week and our two high schoolers are usually home in the evenings each day to give extra snuggles to your pet. We have a fenced in backyard. The back fence wall is a 6ft privacy fence, the side fences are chain link. They will have access to the backyard at any time.

About: Ive been doing Rover now for almost 2 years and it has brought me so much joy and new friends! I worked a summer at kc zoo and it was the most fun job I have ever had. I've had dogs and cats my whole life. Also around horses from my uncle. I have adopted all of my animals from shelters. I love my dogs and cats like they are family. I have a teenage son I have to keep out of petco or any other animal place otherwise he wants to bring all the animals home, joking but not completely untrue. It's how we ended up with our Kitty Maisey. We even took care of the class's bearded dragon over spring break during Covid. He will come along on visits if available as he is the animal whisperer and wants to be a vet. Our 2 dogs are Dottie (our adopted covid pointer mix pup who is the sweetest girl and loves to have visitors to play with), and Marley who is our very sweet, laid back senior dog. Both our pups were rescues. Marley is afraid of thunderstorms and fireworks so we sre familliar with giving medications and making dogs feel safe and comfortable. Dottie is allergic to something during the late summer and September month and takes medicine for that allergy at that time. We believe in treats but only rawhide free and dental bones. Please bring your own food and treats and let me know if you prefer not to share our treats. We also have 2 cats that are used to dogs and in fact think that each dog is their mommy since we got them as kittens and have an attachment to their respective dog mommy. You will even find cats and dogs snuggling together on the bed. Or Moose playing with Dottie in his tunnel. I have had animals with special needs from a diabetic cat that I gave insulin injections to treating animals with special needs. I live right down the street from a great dog park here in belton. We would love to take any new friends to visit. Please let me know if you prefer them not to go to the dog park and we can stay here and play. We have a fenced back yard but one side is only 4 ft. I work from home as a director so I have a very flexible schedule. My son does play competitive soccer so sometimes weekends have us at soccer field for about 2 hours. I have a fenced yard 3 sides are 6 foot privacy and one has a 4 foot chain link. I follow my client's care directions in their homes.

Wanting to spend my time to help all dog owners find someone they can trust while they are away. I’m working Full time currently but have time mostly in the evenings throughout the whole week. About: I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats for quite sometime and even have experience with giving dogs pills as well. I’m willing to not only stay and house sit but ensure the animals have a good time. I work part time and have a lot of gaps in my day for side jobs. I live an active lifestyle so there’s no such thing as too many walks or too much playing! I make sure water is full all the time and food arrives on time with no fuss. I can easily pick up after any animals ensuring a clean lawn as well as a clean home. No pet goes unloved!
About: I have over a year of hands-on experience working in an animal shelter and previously worked at a dog daycare facility for a year. In both settings, I cared for dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and temperaments, including shy, high-energy, and special-needs pets. I have also volunteered with animals for 3 years and grew up in a home with both dogs and cats. I am currently working as a dog bather at PetSmart for fun and I currently have 2 cats and a mini pig, so I understand the importance of routine, enrichment, and individualized care. My background has taught me how to: - Safely handle dogs in different environments - Recognize stress signals and behavior cues - Administer basic care and follow detailed instructions - Provide calm, patient care for anxious pets Your pet's safety, comfort, and routine are my priority. As an add on if anyone needs any bathing, nail help, or specialty care for a exotic animal, I have experience and am willing to help. In the past I've helped with goats, bunnies, mini pigs, and more! I'm currently in school twice a week and have time before and after for your babies! I work PRN at a hospital so I have plenty of free days to fill supporting your dogs and cats! I will follow all rules given to me and treat every dog and cat with respect. I respect boundaries and give treats when needed. I'm comfortable on a leash, kenneling, and just spending time.
About: I've trained service dogs and puppies. I've also cared for multi-animal (species and number) households and I've been doing so my whole life. Whether the dog is big or small, I'd love to help! Pet care is an integral part of my daily or weekly routine. I have ADHD that leans towards forgetting to do stuff for myself. To counter that, I connect my human activities with my pet activities. Like "I fed the dogs and cats" and then the next sentence is "Oh! I will feed myself too!" I have crate trained dogs before and can reinforce that training to ensure that dogs feel safe and secure in their resting area. I like to familiarize myself with their habits. For instance, where does your dog like to go for a walk? How do they exercise? What's their favorite treat and when do they usually get them? Do they like doing a particular activity? This is my client's home and with that it is my client's pet's home. I take that to heart and try to embed these habits into their daily routine so that they can be cared for well and in the way that they know.
