“Veronica provides a safe, cosy place for dogs to stay when they can’t go with their owner, and my dog Bear was treated like family. Bear is almost 14 years old and not interested in playing, but he got along well with Veronica’s gentle dog, who Veronica carefully introduced to him. He likes to be with people, and he was so comfortable with Veronica that he relaxed at my feet when she and I chatted, instead of pulling me out the door. Veronica was very careful to help Bear negotiate around her house, as he doesn’t see well, and she was clever in making sure he could safely go out. Bear says he would go back anytime and I can heartily recommend Veronica to care for beloved pets.”
About: I grew up in a pet loving family, we always had at least 5 fur babies! I loved having the responsibility of caring for them by myself. I would sometimes bring them over to my neighbors for play dates, I could teach them tricks and play with them all day. About: I currently work as a zookeeper and have years of wild and domestic animal experience. Working with wild animals means I have a much deeper understanding of animal husbandry, psychology, and behavior that allows me to provide better care for your pet! I'm especially comfortable around and handling large dogs due to the nature of my job. I provide this because I personally wouldn't make myself hold it, so I would never force a dog to do the same. I provide a very safe, relaxing environment where your dog will be treated like family. I approach care with a proactive approach, rather than reactive. This means I always keep a close eye on individual pet behavior as subtle cues can indicate how a pet is feeling at a given moment. Many pet owners miss out on these cues, especially if they aren't trained to look for them. About: I lost my girl in late 2024. Pet sitting for others has really helped my heart to heal. I have always had a dog in my life but I am not yet ready to commit to my next soulmate. I work from home full-time and miss having a shadow with me. Comfortable with meds and needles, as needed. Comfortable with elderly dogs. I work full time from home, so rarely would your pet be alone. I treat your dog like I treated my own. If I run an errand, your dog runs an errand with me (as long as you approve). We might take a walk, we might Netflix and chill, we might swim in the summer, it just depends what your dog “tells” me they wanna do! We have two guinea pigs (who can be separated from other animals if needed). It’s just my husband and I and our teen daughter, who is generally the one our guest dogs sleep with! Fully fenced yard available to use with few steps. Upstairs and downstairs of house but not required to go downstairs if they don’t want to. Crate available, if they are trained or need it. I rarely see the need to use it but require crate trained dogs in case I need it. Common reasons would be during grocery delivery (to prevent escapes while door maybe open), unexpected visitors (if your dog would be uncomfortable, etc.), and such.

Since 2019, I’ve had my long-haired Dachshund, Chestnut, who’s been my constant companion. About: I am currently an educator at Sedgwick County Zoo and have experience working at doggy daycares and vet clinics. I have a true passion for animals and value respect and kindness above all else. I am also experienced in positive reinforcement training and am trained to safely break up dog fights, administer canine medication, and restrain a variety of domestic animals My schedule will be a bit unpredictable over the coming months, but please feel free to reach out! I can definitely say that mornings are always doable, but nights will be tricker to manage depending on the week. If your pet has a rigid feeding schedule and gets dinner after 5:30PM, you will probably need to look elsewhere for a sitter for any time slot prior to November 1st I always make sure to provide proper care and closely follow any instructions given. I am happy to provide walks, give dinners, administer medications, and provide any extra care that may be desired. With my experience working in a dog daycare, I am familiar with all sorts of special needs care for older and disabled dogs. I have a little bit less experience with cats, but I am happy to learn!

About: I’ve spent the last 5+ years working in a small animal ICU at a veterinary hospital, so caring for pets isn’t just something I enjoy, it’s what I do every day. I’m comfortable with pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities, including seniors, shy pets, and those with medical needs. Can’t wait to meet your furry family member! 🐶🐱 I have a consistent overnight schedule (6pm–6am) Sunday through Tuesday, so I’m available during the day on those days and have open availability Wednesday through Friday. I also work one Saturday a month, with occasional weekend availability otherwise. Pet care fits easily into my routine, and I make sure every pet gets reliable, attentive care and plenty of love! For walks and drop-ins, I keep your pet’s routine consistent and stress-free by following your instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, and any medications. I match each pet’s energy, whether that’s a long walk, playtime, or some quality cuddle time (plus a few compliments, of course). With my veterinary ICU background, I also keep a close eye on their health and behavior.
About: I’ve taken care of my family and friends fur babies for a while, i’ve also baby sat kids as well as house sit and took care of animals while doing so! My goal is to make sure your fur-babies are happy, healthy and well taken care of while you’re at work or out of town! whatever the case may be I just want to make sure they’re loved! Due to not being able to have kids my pets are like kids to me and I treat everyone’s ’kids’ the same way i do mine, with lots of love!! I’ve done a lot of rescue work in the past with animals aswell as fostered several dogs! I also run my own business making dog and cat bandanas were i donate 10% of all profits to a pet rescue organization 🤎 I’m currently a stay at home dog mom, making taking care of everyone else’s pets extremely easy and very doable! I’m extremely flexible with my time and want to make sure your pets are well taken care of! I care for pets in my home or outside of my home the same way i do mine! Lots of love is given if they allow it, frequent updates will be given even if not asked. I want to make sure everyone can see how their fur-babies are doing and receive as many updates as possible as if it were me this is what i would want! I also do pet photography on the side and will get atleast 1-2 professional photos from my camera to give you during the stay - this is on top of the many photos i’ll send from my phone!
About: I have spent the last 15 years taking care of friends and family cats and dogs, I also have 2 years of experience working with animals in a professional setting. I currently have a flexible work from home job, so my availability right now is pretty open to suit your needs! I do request at least 2 days notice prior to taking on a job. I currently have a fenced in yard, which will make caring for your pet in my home super easy and stimulating. I am able to watch pets at your home as well, if that is what you are most comfortable with.

I’m currently in school studying, which gives me a very flexible daytime schedule.
