“Michelle was so amazing, it warmed my heart to know someone was actually giving my cat love and attention as much as I would because that’s usually a pet owners biggest fear. I was out of the country for around two weeks and worried about my cat because she tends to be a little shy and scared of new people and typically i only know how to deal with her. Michelle was perfect !! letting my cat slowly warm up to her presence visit by visit. She would send photos every visit and that was very reassuring, she would play with my cat and feed her and cuddle with gigi. I would get photos of gigi playing, running, and cuddling which is not her norm for when she meets new people so i was very happy with that.There wasn’t a moment where I was worried about my gigi. Terra was so flexible when we had to make some last minute changes to her care schedule due to our kitty, Nickel, coming down with a UTI the morning we were leaving for vacation. Terra proceeded to take such great care of Nickel. She kept us regularly updated about how Nickel was doing, and sent pictures, which were so comforting to see. Nickel was not so sure about taking his meds from a new person, but Terra did a great job working with him and trying different strategies to help him. About: I grew up on a farm taking care of a wide variety of animals, and have a senior husky of my own who is my family. Compassionate care and enrichment is my specialty - exploring sniff spots, play time, having a calm demeanor, and understanding animal behavior is essential to ensure they are happy and healthy! I have logged over 500+ hours as a wildlife rehabber, which includes caring for a variety of animals with different needs and diets, administering medication, and even tube feeding the young so they can eventually be placed back into their natural habitat. Originally from Topeka, I've volunteered extensively at Helping Hands Humane Society and now at the Lawrence Humane Society, spending time in the cat and dog socialization areas. Pets are our family. Whether your dog loves long adventures, leisurely walks, or simply relaxing at home, I'll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you're away. My goal is to give you peace of mind, knowing your pet is being treated with the same care and attention I'd give my own. We’re typically here most weekends but do go out of town every now and then, so just keep an eye on my calendar and I will do my best to keep it updated. Rest-assured, your dogs will be loved here and get to play with our 12 year old Terrier and our 7 year old Austrian Pinscher. I do allow pets on furniture and to sleep in our bed if that's what they're used to. If your dog plays well with others they will fit in perfectly here! I’m currently working from home 2 days a week so typically always home during those days to care for your pups! They will get lots of outdoor breaks and at least one walk while I’m home. We treat your dog(s) like our own. They’re allowed on our furniture and can sleep in it beds if that’s what they’re used to. We also have a large fenced yard for plenty of bathroom breaks and exercise.

I currently work 4 days a week as a veterinary assistant, but have 1 hour lunch breaks to come let out your furry family member! I am very available outside of work. We currently have many pets in our own home, however I am more than willing to come to your home in order to care for your pets. I am available to take them for walks, feed them and care for them, doing whatever I need so that your pet is comfortable while you are away. I am available to stay the night at your home, or just come over throughout the day as needed. I will even give you’re pooch a spa day if requested!
About: I've taken care of animals both big and small, in single pet households and multi-pet homes. I like to spend time getting to know each animal under my care so any walks/visits/ stays can be as fun and relaxing for the animal as possible. A majority of my pet care has been at home stays for dogs with anxiety or just need a little extra attention. I've also cared for reptiles, birds, and small mammals in addition to dogs and cats. I'm currently working part time online which allows for pet care to be a focus in my life. Depending on the pet and client, I can visit as often as needed to make sure that your pet is having the best outcome of my services. A majority of the animals I take care of stay at their own homes, so I make sure to visit often and for as long as needed for the animal to get as much enrichment out of my visit before they calm down and are ready for me to leave. This includes mealtimes, making sure their water/area is clean, playing with toys and/or enrichment activities, and cleanup before heading out. If staying in a clients home, I follow the routine of that pet as set by the owner to give as much minimal disruption as possible.

About: I've had a dog since I was 10 years old and caring for him has been a big part of my life. I started dog sitting last summer and quickly realized how much I loved it! I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs, whether we're going on walks, playing, or just relaxing. I treat every dog like my own and I make it a priority of mine to do my best to keep them in their same routine so they can be as comfortable as possible while you're away. I'll stick to your instructions about feeding, walks, potty breaks, medication, or any other special care they may need. I want your pups to feel safe and comfortable while you are away. I will send regular photos and updates so you can be at ease knowing your fur baby is in good hands.

Friends and family often ask me to house-sit, feed, entertain, and care for their pets while they are out of town for any amount of time. I have a wide range of experience including kittens, birds, rodents, and large dogs. I currently work part-time/seasonal on a flexible schedule. About: My family has had dogs, cats and fish my whole life. I often watch them when my parents are out of town and I have dog and cat sat for family & friends for years. I have helped a friends family with their cattle and pigs, but am not as experienced with livestock outside chickens. I’m currently available 7 days/wk I work as a server in my pleasant so whoever I’m staying with ideally should be able to go 6-8hrs between potty breaks!
