About: My family always had a pet dog. As a kid I would feed and walk dogs in the neighborhood while they were out of town. As I grew older I would stay at family or friend's homes if they went out of town. I'm in search of a similar situation in South Bend - dog walking and light housework included! Weekdays I can stop in and let the dog(s) out for bathroom breaks. On weekends/evenings I can stay at your home so that the dog is familiar and will make myself available 100% during that time. I prefer to stay or drop in to my client's home. I find that the dog is more familiar/comfortable this way too. I am happy to do a test run so that everyone feels comfortable/familiar!

In the past when we have hired sitters through Rover we were sent pictures of her hiding under the bed and that made us feel uneasy while away from her, but Casey sent pictures of her out and about and even eating! That was definitely a sign to us that our cat felt safe. She was very accommodating to our last minute trip and communicated with us the entire time. About: New to Rover.com but 10+ years of fostering over 400 babies for local shelters. They were all spoiled by the time they were ready for adoption. (No apologies for that 🙃) Your pet will be well cared for/spoiled while they visit! I can take two dogs, for the safety of your pet(s) and mine, only if they are from the same household. Love animals and miss fostering I did while in California. Your family member will be in caring hands who has years of experience with puppies and kittens who needed medication. I’m retired and have all the time in the world. 🤭 I still foster and mark my calendar as unavailable when I have foster babies. You can always ask if there is room for one more. 😉 New home with half acre fenced yard. Have a very active border collie who wants a playmate. My animals have always had the run of the house but I can provide a crate if need be. If you need an extended period of time, let me know. My last foster was 6 months old, from a local shelter and was here for over 2 months.

About: I have a bernidoodle of my own, and I have dog-sat for other family members and neighbors. I am comfortable with all dog breeds and sizes. I am currently on summer break from college. I will be available for drop-in visits and walks any day during the week and weekends after 10 am. My schedule is very flexible, and I am open to schedule changes and to taking on multiple dogs. About: I have always grown up with pets, from dogs to rodents I’ve always had some fur little friend in my life. I adore being able to make a pets life more enjoyable and bright, whether that means going out and about or being a couch potato, I want to be there. I just recently got accepted to a master program at Notre Dame (crazy excited), due to that I have class from eight to noon Monday through Thursday and for the month of August and partially into September. I will have a Friday class however most afternoons I should be free and if not, I will always work with my schedule and your schedule to find the best time that works to see your pets! I personally love having a directions list, something that I can follow to keep both your mind and my mind at peace knowing that what is written down will make sure that you pet will be safe and still have a good time. I would also love to be able to meet you and your pet before any bookings so that both you and your pet feel comfortable with who I am!

About: I’ve owned dogs & cats all my life. I absolutely adore fur babies and can’t get enough of them. I have 2 cats of my own as well! I currently am working full time . With Wednesday and Saturdays off. I am available to stay at pet owners home if dog sitting . I am also able to check in on cats everyday as well. If pet owner lives close (within 5-10min) to my work I am able to let dogs out during my work lunch hour. I am also willing to be flexible as well if I have time in advance to try and work something out with my schedule at work! When I pet sit, I make sure dogs/cats have enough food water and toys. I enjoy playing with the animals as well as making sure I am doing the required tasks the owner has asked. About: I grew up with animals- my dad raised and bred dogs professionally, and my brother and I helped by taking care of puppies. We also had our house dog and I had cats. Since then, I have raised many dogs, cats, and bunnies. Currently my husband and I live by ourselves and travel a lot so we do not have our own pets, but I miss having animals around and would enjoy helping take care of others’ pets. We have a calm, clean, and happy home. We love animals so much, we are both vegan as well. Your pet will be in the best care! About: I have had pets since I was 4 years old. Growing up on a farm, I learned to take care of animals from a very young age. Additionally, I spent a lot of my high school years pet sitting for neighbors, family friends, and friends of friends! I have had many dogs of many different breeds and ages. I tend to be an active person, so walking and playing with my pets to ensure their exercise is something I prioritize. I’m very good at adapting to pets different personalities and making them as comfortable as possible. I work 5 days a week but on a hybrid schedule- 3 days in office, 2 days working from home. My hours are 9-3, so I have plenty of time during the week to love on your pet! Additionally, my weekends are free. Though I do not have any pets currently, I have an apartment with plenty of room, outside space, and live directly across from a huge, gated dog park— which is friendly to all sizes of dogs. Additionally, I live right next to tons of walking trails, perfect for those pets who love their walks! If your pup is needing to be crated, I can easily make that happen, as well as anything else your pet needs!
“Was in town for the weekend and my dog couldn’t stay with me at my hotel but it was fine because she was in great hands with Nicholas!! She is an Akita and she is a rescue so that can be a lot to handle but not for him: he even got her to socialize with his dog. So much so, that when I went to pick her up, they were still busy chasing each other around. Anyone who has dealt with a difficult breed or a rescue knows how much time is needed and I’m grateful!!Thanks again for helping out!”
“I was very excited to find Mila. We had decided to make an extended vacation stay in New Buffalo, MI and found that the hotel would not accept our dog. Using Rover, we found Mila 10 miles away and boarded our pup with her. She sent pics of Sascha on walks and chilling out- it was perfect. Will definitely hook up again next time we are in MI.
