We have flexible schedules, reliable transportation with dog seatbelts, a large wrap around fully fenced-in yard, and several forested acres with private nature trails to share with your best friend. Maeve is a WFH graphic designer and Jason is a self-employed carpenter living with our two sweet velcro cavalier king charles spaniels — Cricket & Disco. We have very flexible schedules with lots of love and attention to spare. We can easily break away for walks and drop-ins. We live across from Eagle Lake with a large wraparound fully fenced-in yard overlooking 15 private forested acres with trails for leashed nature walks. We have oodles of experience walking, camping, hiking, swimming, and playing with dogs in all environments and elements. Crates and gates are available if your best friend needs their space, but everybody is allowed to make themselves at home. We have lots of cozy nooks and beds. We work to ensure smooth introductions. Our home is very dog-friendly but to that end, kept very clean. We do tick checks and our girls are always up to date with their vaccinations and preventative meds. JIC, we have reliable transportation and are not far from Michiana Veterinary Hospital. We are also able to drive to your preferred vet.

About: I’ve always had dogs, ever since I was born, so I have a LOT of experience! I have been trusted with my friends’ pets as well, going over to their houses to take care of the dogs and play with them! I am working part-time right now, so I have pretty good flexibility when it comes to needing someone to come and take care of your pets. I can do some weekends and weekdays. I am not available Wednesday evenings after 4. I will feed them (a certain amount of times a day if that is what you normally do) and make sure they have plenty of water. If they normally go in a crate during the day/at night, I can do that for you as well.

About: I have always had dogs in my life as pets. I have been house sitting for 10 years. My house sitting clients rely on me to exercise their dogs as well as feed and medicate their dogs. I have experience with all sizes and many breeds. I am currently working part time at a dog boarding/daycare/grooming facility and have lots of time in the evenings and afternoons for walks or drop in visits most days of the week. If you are interested in house sitting I work part time from 6:30am-11am everyday except Fridays. I would be in the home full time with your pet except for those few hours each morning. About: I have taken care of neighbor’s and friend’s dogs and cats since I was around 12 years old. I grew up with 4-5 dogs and cats at a time, as well as reptiles and amphibians. I have four dogs of my own now. I have cared for dogs as small as chihuahuas and as big as Great Danes. The reason for the price being $200/night and so much higher than my check-in and dog walking prices is because I have to factor in drive time, mileage, and gas that it takes me to get to your home in back, as well as trips I will have to make in between to come home and care for my own dogs and to shower and eat as well as the hours I’m spending at your home overnight. I am away from my own home/bed, family, and dogs so I can do a job that requires me to stay somewhere most of the day and overnight to care for living beings. Because of that, I am going to charge a flat rate of $200 that covers the moment I leave my home to when I return after the last day, which includes every night I spend in your home. If you require me to stay in your home overnight for the job, I will not do it for free. Rover also takes 20% of my earnings, so I am actually only making $160/night. If you break it down, say I’m there for around 12 hours for an overnight house sitting job, I’m only making around $13/hour. If you do not require me to stay overnight, my check in and dog walking prices are much more affordable and I can check in several times a day and stay for up to an hour each time. Also, please list each animal in your home on your profile. As many other Rover sitters, I charge per animal. If there is only one dog on your profile, I expect to only be caring for one dog. It is an additional $10 or less per additional dog, depending on which service you book. I have previously talked about how I care for my dogs in my home, but I will not be offering any kind of in home care as two of my dogs are reactive. However, at the client’s home, I can follow any instructions on care down to the very last detail. I can provide your pet with cuddles and playtime if they are comfortable with it. I can walk them as well, for any amount of time or distance. I will meet your needs and your pet’s needs!

About: every sitter loves animals, but I really do adore animals and I love being able to just enjoy and meet new animals. My special skills with animals is to cuddle! I love making sure the fur babies are taking care of with love and respect! I currently work a full time job, M-T from 7 to 5, which is the main reason of dog sitting on the weekends! I can do full weeks just need to know ahead of time to be able to discuss with work! The best option is to have them at the client’s home, animals are always comfortable when at home and a place they know! “Alexia is a super dog person and goes extra miles, literally, to care for my canine. I thought Tilda might be coming down with an UTI when I left her with Alexia. We discussed that possibility and stayed in contact about how she was behaving. The call came Friday evening that Tilda wasn’t getting better. Long story short, Alexia took Tilda to her vet on Saturday morning and confirmed the infection and started her on two prescriptions for the rest of the weekend. About: I definitely do know my knowledge on dogs, cats or any other animal really. I have had a dog or multiple my whole life growing up so I definitely love dogs and cats with a passion. I do not work right now just trying to find something quick. So I am open to anything or anything time please definitely contact me if you need a open available person.
