“I can't recommend Danielle highly enough! She stepped in at the last minute to provide specialized care for my cat after an incident just days before vacation. We so relieved knowing my pet was in such capable hands. Being a vet med for over a decade she is incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and confident handling medical needs. Danielle took the time to ensure my cat, Jelly, was comfortable and well cared for, and they kept me updated throughout. It's not easy to find someone with this level of experience and compassion. I would absolutely trust them with my cat again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a skilled and dependable pet sitter.”
“Chelsea did a fabulous job taking care of our dog. We also appreciated her quick communication and willingness to watch our dog as a last minute booking and to add on a day when we wanted to extend our trip. Highly recommend.”

“She was amazing there dog aurora is so cute and friendly. My dog had the best time and came home absolutely exhausted will definitely have them as my first choice for all bookings”

“Nora and Levi were wonderful with my dog, Juno. They took great care of her over the holidays. Their dog Scarlett was a big sweetheart and got along with Juno very well. Their big, fenced in yard is just great for dogs. Highly recommend!”

About: Hi, my name is Melinda of bark and stroll. I love animals. I have my own animal and I love taking care of animals inside my home or your home. I am retired, and I have plenty of time to take care of the animals. I love playing with them and taking them on nice walks. I have a decent sized yard. It’s not fenced in so I do walk the animals on a leash and we have some woods with paths near my house. If the dogs over 50 pounds I prefer them to be crate trained.

“Mary Jane is the best! My 6 year old dog couldn’t be happier going to her wonderful home. I love the consistent updates Mary Jane provides that usually includes photos. I would highly recommend booking with her.”

“Laura was amazing with our two Pups of Chaos. She dealt expertly with their problem behaviors, and kept us updated on how they were doing. It was hugely comforting to us know that our one very anxious pup was able to be calm with her. Would definitely recommend Laura to anyone looking for a great place for their dogs, and I know we'll be back.”

“This is the second time we have used Mariah as our sitter and we have no doubt we will use her again and again. Her attention to and care for our girl goes above and beyond, we could not recommend her more.”

“Destinee did an amazing job communicating. I just picked up my two pups and they’re already sleeping. I received pictures every few hours of them sitting on someone’s lap or watching TV together. Great job! Thank you.. Highly recommended!!”

“Our two huskies had a great weekend with Celsei and her two frenchies. I really appreciated the the daily update pictures. Celsei has a great outdoor set up for play. Would highly recommend and we plan on booking again in a few months when we go out of town again. Our girls were clearly in good, caring hands”

“Kelsie was very nice and updated me with photos and updates to make sure my puppy was doing great I would highly recommend and appreciate the last minute notice that I had to board my dog.”

“Lucy definitely made my dog feel comfortable. I appreciated the communication since I received a few pictures a day of my dog. Lucy did a great job and made sure to give my dog her medicine. Thank you!”

About: Hi! I’m Alana 😊 I provide reliable, attentive care so your pet can stay comfortable while you’re away. I started volunteering at a humane society in middle school and later gained hands-on experience shadowing veterinary technicians at IndyVet. This helped me learn how to read animal body language, handle different temperaments, and provide safe, attentive care. Growing up, my family had golden retrievers, pit bulls, cats, bunnies, and hamsters, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of pets and personalities. I now have three miniature dachshunds of my own, so I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I’ll treat your furry friend with the same love, patience, and care that I give my own! I work full time throughout the week. I am typically available during the evenings on Monday - Thursday, and then all day on Friday - Saturday! Because I have three dogs of my own, I prefer to have your dogs come to my home for overnight sitting. I understand how important our furry friends are and how difficult it can be to be away from them. That’s why I like to learn as much as possible about each pet ahead of time. Knowing their routines, preferences, and personality helps me create a safe, comfortable, and loving environment while you’re away.
“Madison was wonderful and flexible. First, we were able to modify our dates before the trip. Second. We ran into traffic on our way home and Madison was able to watch our dog for extra tune until we got home. We got picture updates and our dog was happy.”

“Trista took great care of our dogs! We have a high energy 5 month puppy and a 3 year old small dog. We were nervous about boarding them or sending them somewhere but Trista did amazing with them! We got updates daily on how the dogs were doing and they seemed to really enjoy their time with her family. Will definitely be using her again next time we leave town!”

About: Hello! My name is Savannah and I am a postdoctoral researcher in the biology department at IU. I have experience caring for all kinds of animals (dogs, cats, reptiles, fish and more). I have experience with small and large dogs, hyperactive/nervous dogs, as well as senior dogs so you can be assured that I know how to handle just about any dog personality. I am very responsible, considerate and dedicated to making sure your pets are happy and healthy. I consider it an honor to be welcomed into your pet’s life and take my job very seriously. Please feel welcome to ask me any and all questions you might have. Thank you so much for considering me! I cannot wait to hear from you and your pet! I have fairly flexible working hours as I largely can make my own schedule. I am available during the week and weekends as well as holidays. I have a fenced in yard if you would like your pet to stay with me, but I am also happy to take them for walks in addition to letting them play in the backyard. I have three dogs of my own that are all very friendly and I have ways to separate dogs from each other if need be so they don’t all have to interact at the same time.
About: As a pet owner myself I know that our pets are our babies. (Lord knows I treat mine like my baby). I work from home so someone is always with your fur baby. We live about 5 minutes from Switchyard Park and like to walk the trail. Our apartment complex has a small dog park and a trail that is about half a mile long that we go on all the time. My dog is part husky so I know the importance of keeping dogs busy. We have multiple puzzles and toys ready to go. I’m very type A when it comes to my dog so you can expect the same with your pet. I’ll over communicate with you, send you photos daily, and let you know how your pup is adjusting. Safety and communication are always number one. I’ve grown up with pets all my life and baby sat for other dogs. My dog has some medical issues (a bad knee) so I’m no stranger to medication and keeping an eye out on existing injuries. If you want to meet up or see the environment your dog will be staying before hand, feel free to reach out to me! Since I work from home we take a lot of short walks through the day and I set up puzzles for them to play inside in case it’s too hot. I want to keep your dogs schedule as much as possible. A new environment for them can be stressful and if I can help ease some of that with following their schedule, I’m happy to do it! Your dog will have free range of our apartment. They’re allowed on all furniture and we have multiple dog beds in case they want their space. We have 2 crates in the house in case the dogs need to be crated and we will never have more than 2 dogs in the apartment (yours and mine only). We have a small dog park across the street of our apartment that will only be used if no other dogs are already there. Of course I will ask your preference if you’re comfortable with them going there or only walks.

“Sara was wonderful with our two cats! While we were out of town she was also extremely helpful with adjusting cameras and other misc. things we needed. 11/10 recommend!”

“Sarah went above and beyond caring for our cats when we were gone for two weeks! She was very proactive, and we really appreciated how she stuck to our cats regular feeding schedule and routine. It gave us peace of mind during our trip knowing our cats were being so well taken care of.”

About: Hello! My name is Mirte (pronounced meer‑tah), and I’ve been caring for pets professionally for several years now. I share my home with a sweet kitty named Evie and a goofy beagle named Mylo, and I adore them both like family. That same level of love, patience, and attention is what I bring to every cat I care for. Before pursuing social work I originally planned to become a veterinary technician, so my love for animals runs deep. Cats have always held a special place in my heart. Whether your kitty is shy, social, playful, or independent, I connect in a way that feels right for them. 🐈🧶 My schedule is very flexible right now since I’ve just wrapped up my internship, and I offer everything from drop‑ins to overnight stays. I always prefer meeting in person beforehand so you and your cat feel completely at ease. I’d love to connect and support you however I can; your pet’s well‑being truly matters to me.
“Heather goes above and beyond taking care of the cats and any issues at the house, which isn't a requirement at all. She keeps us informed on her visits with pics of the cats to see how things are going. We can always count on her kindness and reliability.”

About: I've only had a cat for a year now, but I take care of him when my roommate needs assistance. I have fed, watered, cleaned his litter box, and played with him while she is gone. I also have learned the body language of cats. Most cats have liked me when I was growing up and I would say I am a pretty patient person, so I don't get upset if they don't initially like me either.

About: While in college my roommate had a cat. He neglected his cat, he wouldn't change his litter box, and would spray him with a water bottle whenever he did something "naughty". I ended up cleaning the litter box. And his cat ended liking me more than him. Cats hold a special place in my heart, their goofy, curious, and sometimes sassy attitudes are endlessly entertaining. I would love the opportunity to be of service to you and your lovely kitty!
“Always grateful to have Abby take care of my cat. Very attentive and communicates very well. It is clear my cat is well taken care of when I return from a trip. Also snaps the best/silliest photos of my cat while I'm away :)”

“Celsei was great with communication and has a deep love for animals. We felt secure and confident our cat was in good hands after only a few days into our trip. Thank you Celsei! Sunny (our cat] will definitely return when we travel again.”

About: I’m a proud cat owner and I’d love to extend my care to your fur babies! I know firsthand how much they mean to you. I have an older cat with special health needs, so I understand how to take extra care with more challenging cat clients.
“Westly was great with my fur babies the five days we were out of town. Even before that he came by for a meet and greet with us. He was prompt, reliable, and a great communicator.”

“We cannot recommend Kim enough! Firstly, she was willing to take us last minute and was very accommodating and communicative (with pics!). When we first got there we did a slow introduction with the other dogs there and left after everyone felt confident the dogs would get along. You can tell Kim loves what she does, we felt really comfortable and happy knowing we were leaving Goose in Kim’s capable hands. Goose came back to us tired (in the best way possible) and happy. We already have another appointment with Kim on the books and can’t wait to book with her again. Thanks, Kim! :)”

“Augie had a wonderful time with Mary Jane and family. This was the first time we left Augie with anyone; Mary Jane made us feel reassured and calm. We had a terrific get away and Augie had a great day! Thank you, Janine & Bruce”

“Bennie had such a good day with Destinee! We did a daycare to see in hopes that he did well so we can have him stay with Destinee while we are on vacation. Destinee’s communication was amazing and she was so sweet! It was easy to tell Bennie loved her and felt comfortable in her home. We’ve already rebooked for a sleepover to make sure he’s comfortable overnight as well.”

“So great!!!! Nova had the best time. Not sure she wanted to even come home!!! She played so much with nova who has so much energy. Her home was beautiful and clean and perfect for a little puppy..lol!! Great back yard! HIGHLY RECOMMEND ❤️”

“Kamela was fantastic with my puppy! Her and her family accepted my baby as their own and I never had to doubt her safety or well being. Will definitely be using in the future and 100% recommended ☺️”

“Misty enjoyed her stay at Kelly’s”. Misty usually resists when we drop her off at daycare centers, but she went happily when we dropped her at Kelly”s house. That was the kind of wonderful care that Kelly provided.”

“Jasmine was great. I was in town for an event and decided to let my puppy play instead of join me. I contacted Jasmine last minute and she was available! Roxie had a great time and was well cared for. I got several pictures and video up which was great for this nervous mom. Thanks so much!!!”

About: Hi! I’m Jenna, a lifelong Bloomingtonian and best friend to every dog I’ve ever met! I am a stay-at-home mom to a preschooler and I also help run a national non-profit rescue for French Bulldogs. I have deeply loved several bulldogs in my lifetime, and as such am very adept to handling brachycephalic breeds and their particular needs. (Though it should be noted I tend to regular-nosed breeds with the same loving care!) As a former medical assistant, I am very comfortable caring for animals with moderate medical needs, those with disabilities, those requiring medication administration, etc. I have cared for hospice dogs, dietary restrictions, Mega-esophagus, Colitis, deafness and total blindness. You could say that special needs are my specialty. I have over 20 years of experience helping folks take care of their fur babies, from Pugs to Cane Corsos and lots in between. Dogs have always been my best friends and luckily, lots of humans pick up on that when they meet me. Most of my experience has been private house sitting and in-home pet care for coworkers for periods of a few hours up to a few weeks. I am brand new to Rover, but not new to taking care of animals. I currently work for a dog rescue remotely and am otherwise a stay-at-home-mom to a preschooler. I also provide daily care for one resident special needs rescue French Bulldog. I care for pets in the way that is safest for them, regardless of where that is. In my home, dogs are under my constant care. They will be taken outside on a leash as I do not have a fenced yard.
About: I grew up with several small dogs and I currently have three, so I have experience with taking care of their needs and giving attention to multiple dogs at once! I’m available for boarding and dog sitting on weekends and weekdays. I’m home most days so my schedule is fairly open. When I'm available, I rarely leave the house for more than an hour at a time. I have a fenced in yard for your dog to safely enjoy fresh air! I also have two small crates and the ability to segment off parts of the house with baby gates if the need arises.
About: I have cared for many animals growing up, my mom and I were both adopters of all kinds of strays. But I have been loving and caring for my very own sweet girl for 9 years! We adopted our baby from the humane society at 3 months old and worked through potty training, leash training, and command training. Please allow your pet to be my outlet so I stop asking my husband for another dog 😬 I am a homeschool momma so I am home or outside adventuring most of the day. I have a nice sized yard, however, it is not fenced in so if your fur baby likes to run off from time to time we may not be a good fit. I have 3 small kiddos (and myself) who would love nothing more than to snuggle on your pup! And our Vega girl enjoys running and playing with other doggos so your pup will get plenty of love and exercise! We do have 11 chickens who stay in their coop (we do let them free range from time to time, but they will be kept in their coop while you pup stays with us). However, due to having small children and chicks we will require a meet and greet before your precious pup comes to stay with us.
About: Hey there! I am Jen. I can’t walk past a dog without saying hi. Love being active outdoors, going for walks, and making new animal friends. Pets bring so much joy, and I’m here to make sure they have just as much fun (and comfort!) while you’re gone- as they do when you’re home. I work from home, with a fenced in yard. I often just keep the back door open, unless it's winter... so they can explore and potty as they wish. I think animals do better with company so we really like the social aspect of this app where animals can be together with each other
About: I will treat all pets just like kids and a family member and never put them in harms way will love them just like my own they will be taken care of and showed love and care u would haven’t to worry about ur baby being drop off and not taken care of because I would never treat them bad I would always take care of there needs and give them love and care so please give me the chance to take care of ur baby’s and protect them in my care thank u for the time and thought about we watching ur baby or walking them I am a hard worker and take extra pride in what I do and care for all animals as like I would mine I do delivery’s so I am more a stay at home mom then away I will always be here with them most of the time I have a big yard for them to be in and a house for them to run in too and if they need a runner or cage I have that too

About: Hi there! I’m an avid animal lover with a gentle, patient approach to pet care. I share my home with a sweet kitty named Evie and my rescue beagle, Mylo: a lovable goofball who keeps me humble and well‑trained. I always look after every pet with the same attentiveness, patience, and high quality care I give my own little crew. 🐾 Before pursuing social work, I actually planned to become a veterinary technician, and that early passion for animals has stayed with me. I’ve volunteered at the Wabash animal shelter, spent years riding horses, and gained hands‑on experience with all kinds of personalities and needs. Mylo, who struggles with anxiety, has taught me a lot about de‑escalating reactivity and building trust through positive reinforcement. He also takes daily medication, so I’m very comfortable administering meds and following specific care routines. Mylo likes to think of it as his “evening treat with extra steps.” Over the past several years, I’ve pet‑sat for friends, family, and their extended circles. This has allowed me to care for pets of all ages and ranging needs. No matter the temperament, I adapt to each animal’s personality, mood, and boundaries. Striving to create a calm, reassuring environment where your pet feels understood is central to my approach as a caregiver. Please reach out if you have any questions! Your pet's comfort is my priority ❤️ My schedule is currently very open as I wrap up my internship, and I’m available for daily check‑ins, walks, and overnight stays! Please feel free to reach out with any questions, I’m always happy to connect. ❤️🐕🦺🎾 I love caring for pets where they feel safest, their home 🏡🐾. While I’m there, I carefully follow your pet’s routine and keep their space clean and comfortable, so you return to a happy, relaxed fur baby and a home that feels just as you left it (or better).
About: I have done in-house dog sitting for others, as well as had my own pet dogs growing up. I have experience with a range of breeds and sizes. I am Cat and Dog First Aid certified. I work flexible part-time jobs, so my week-to-week schedule is varied. I am open to overnight sitting or just for a few hours at a time. Reach out to me even if I am listed as unavailable as I may only be available at a certain time. For example, I volunteer at a wildlife rescue on Wednesday mornings with availability afterwards, but Rover does not allow partial day availability. I make sure to understand a pets' needs and to meet those standards, while making sure their environment is safe. Conveying those needs is important to me before actually beginning pet care. I understand pet body language and give them the space and respect they deserve.
About: I’ve been taking care of my friends’ dogs whenever they need a helping hand, so I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I love taking them on walks, playing with them, and making sure they get plenty of attention and exercise. I also volunteer at an animal shelter every weekend, where I walk shelter dogs and spend time helping them feel comfortable and cared for. Whether your pup needs a walk, playtime, or some company while you’re away, I’ll treat them like my own and make sure they feel happy, safe, and loved! ❤️🐾 My schedule is very flexible, and I’m happy to coordinate anytime to fit your pet’s routine and needs. I’ll work with you ahead of time to find a schedule that works best for both you and your pet! love taking dogs on walks and making sure they get plenty of exercise, fresh air, and attention! 🐶 I’ve regularly helped care for friends’ dogs and enjoy getting to know each dog’s personality and walking style. Whether your pup loves a long walk, a relaxed stroll, or stopping to sniff everything along the way, I’m happy to follow their pace and routine. I’ll also make sure they have access to water and stay hydrated, especially on warmer days. Most importantly, I’ll always make sure your pup is safe, comfortable, and having a great time!
About: I grew up on a farm, surrounded by animals. We had horses, goats, chickens, cows, and of course dogs and cats. We have 2 Australian Shepherds, and a bunch of cats. I also grew up around Chihuahuas. My sister has a senior diabetic Chihuahua, so I have experience with them as well. I have a lot of experience with all sorts of animals, so I can take care of barns as well. I am currently working part-time in the early mornings, so I have plenty of afternoon time to spend with pets. I also am a full time student, but all of my work is online. I am open to any days that are needed. I have a warm and friendly approach when it comes to animals. I always think it's important to remember that accidents happen. In the end, they're animals. I love giving them all the pets and cuddles I can possibly give. It's their first time living too!!
“We booked with Kelsie last minute and she was very accommodating with the request! Very pleased with the services provided. We will definitely book with Kelsie again in the near future 😊”

About: I have been around dogs all my life, have two of my own Vizslas, so I know the importance of patience, consistency, and attentive care. I've also dog-sat for other families through the Nextdoor app (including overnight dog sitting) on top of my own dogs. I treat every dog like they are mine and always put their safety, comfort and routine first. Reliable, communicative and dedicated to making pets and their owners comfortable. I’m currently a student at Indiana University, and my class schedule gives me plenty of flexibility throughout the week for pet care. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting around my classes, with more availability in the afternoons, evenings, and on weekends. I’m also happy to work with your pet’s usual routine and schedule whenever possible! I always put the pet’s safety, comfort, and routine first. There is plenty of room for pets to stretch out and play in my home, including a fully fenced yard for outdoor time when supervised. I ensure they have fresh water, regular meals, exercise, and lots of attention. I really follow instructions carefully when caring for pets in a client’s home. This helps keep them on their regular routine and keeps them feeling safe and comfortable in a familiar environment. I also keep owners in the loop with regular updates and photos so they can relax while they are away.

I like small dogs but big dogs are my absolute favorite. I personally have a great dane who is a dork and I love him so much. We used to bread great danes so I can work well with puppies. :) I currently work part time, I work most mornings till about 10am and am free after that. I can watch animals on weekend afternoons or evenings. I would like a set schedule with someone if that works out. I have a big back yard and a very loving great dane to keep company. I also have a pin for my dog if for some reason they don't get along. Also a cat poll in my house for those who need cats watched.

“Rigby and Polly have a great time with Celsei! They love their walks and always come home happily worn out. Celsei is very kind and accommodating, and a true dog lover! Thanks for taking such good care of ours, Celsei!”

About: Training and caring for cats and dogs alike from a young age, I have a way with animals that is forged by trust and love. I see animals as individuals, and I believe in second chances (especially with little ones). Whether your animal is a newborn or a 15-year-old, my attention to detail is the same. Being a full-time student, I have a class schedule that is easy to work around as I schedule breaks around lunch and dinner times. Unless otherwise noted, I am free most evenings as well! Not to mention, I am a natural early riser, so maintaining your animal’s everyday schedule will be no issue. Giving them all of the love I can is crucial to our relationship and trust. Even for a walk, maintaining their normal habits is important. Whether staying at the house or not, being with the animal when they wake up (and when they go to sleep) is essential for me if watching for extended periods of time!

It’s not fenced in so I do walk the animals on a leash and we have some woods with paths near my house. If the dogs over 50 pounds I prefer them to be crate trained.

“Kelsie was very nice and updated me with photos and updates to make sure my puppy was doing great I would highly recommend and appreciate the last minute notice that I had to board my dog.”

“Destinee did an amazing job communicating. I just picked up my two pups and they’re already sleeping. I received pictures every few hours of them sitting on someone’s lap or watching TV together. Great job! Thank you.. Highly recommended!!”

“Amazing experience. Nico received constant attention, care, and love the entire time he stayed there. I also received lots of pictures, videos, and updates throughout the stay, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. It was clear that they genuinely cared about him and treated him like their own dog. It’s hard to find people you fully trust with your dog, but I felt completely comfortable knowing Nico was in such good hands. HIGHLY RECOMMEND, and I’ll definitely use them again in the future.”

“Kelly was incredible!! I'm truly wondering if our dog will be sad to come home because he loved staying with Kelly so much, haha. She sent so many wonderful picture and video updates. She took such good care of our dog and even gave him baths and daily walks and worked on commands with him. He learned so much just from staying there. I will definitely be using Kelly again and I will recommend her to my friends as well!”

“Lindsie provided excellent care and attention for my little boy Otto. She was very good about sending me photos and reassuring me he was doing just fine with her. Otto is a 9 year old Miniature Schnauzer and used to just the two of us being together but he did very well with Lindsie. I highly recommend considering Lindsie as a sitter.”

“We were blessed to find Victoria and her sweet family to love our two furry girls while we were away for a whole week. Leaving them with someone I did not know was very stressful. She settled my fears by staying in touch daily and sending pictures. When we picked them up, I could completely see the girls had been loved dearly while I was away. I will absolutely call on Victoria if we need a sitter in the future. XOXO”
