I am good and gentle with cats and understand each one is unique with their likes and dislikes and how much petting (or none) they want to have. About: I own a King Charles Cavalier and a German Shepherd currently! I grew up on a farm in southern Indiana with multiple foster and adopted animals! My mother instilled a serious love and adoration for people and their favorite pets. I volunteered at our local animal shelter, was trained in multiple animal science courses, and was taught to love and respect the animals I work with, both domesticated and exotic. We adopted our baby from the humane society at 3 months old and worked through potty training, leash training, and command training. About: I've never worked for a company like Rover but I've watched many people's pets, mainly friends of the family. My household has two dogs and 3 cats, two of the cats are kittens. I like small dogs but big dogs are my absolute favorite. I personally have a great dane who is a dork and I love him so much. We used to bread great danes so I can work well with puppies. :) I currently work part time, I work most mornings till about 10am and am free after that. I am a full time college student, so my availability is flexible. I am available to check in or stay overnight with your pets. Walking is also something I love to do for exercise or a study break. I currently live in an apartment with a roommate's cat that scares easily with other animals. Therefore, I will only sit in owner homes. I look forward to having a proper place to make a loving dog a home at. When I watch pets in other homes, I like to follow whatever regimen the owner has in place. I have found animals adapt to a new person in their territory when they stick to a routine and are in a familiar place.
About: I've had animals my entire life. Dogs and cats! I take care of humans in the ER, and want to take care of my preferred kind of babies (fur babies) on my days off! I'm an RN! So I am working 3-4 shifts a week which leaves plenty of time to take care of fur babies on my days off! I will take care of my clients fur babies in ways that are preferred by the client! If that's stopping in for play time, snuggles, walks, etc! I can do it all!

About: Hi, my name is Melinda of bark and stroll. I love animals. I have my own animal and I love taking care of animals inside my home or your home. I am retired, and I have plenty of time to take care of the animals. I love playing with them and taking them on nice walks. I have a decent sized yard. It’s not fenced in so I do walk the animals on a leash and we have some woods with paths near my house. If the dogs over 50 pounds I prefer them to be crate trained.

About: As a pet owner myself I know that our pets are our babies. (Lord knows I treat mine like my baby). I work from home so someone is always with your fur baby. We live about 5 minutes from Switchyard Park and like to walk the trail. Our apartment complex has a small dog park and a trail that is about half a mile long that we go on all the time. My dog is part husky so I know the importance of keeping dogs busy. We have multiple puzzles and toys ready to go. I’m very type A when it comes to my dog so you can expect the same with your pet. I’ll over communicate with you, send you photos daily, and let you know how your pup is adjusting. Safety and communication are always number one. I’ve grown up with pets all my life and baby sat for other dogs. My dog has some medical issues (a bad knee) so I’m no stranger to medication and keeping an eye out on existing injuries. If you want to meet up or see the environment your dog will be staying before hand, feel free to reach out to me! Since I work from home we take a lot of short walks through the day and I set up puzzles for them to play inside in case it’s too hot. I want to keep your dogs schedule as much as possible. A new environment for them can be stressful and if I can help ease some of that with following their schedule, I’m happy to do it! Your dog will have free range of our apartment. They’re allowed on all furniture and we have multiple dog beds in case they want their space. We have 2 crates in the house in case the dogs need to be crated and we will never have more than 2 dogs in the apartment (yours and mine only). We have a small dog park across the street of our apartment that will only be used if no other dogs are already there. Of course I will ask your preference if you’re comfortable with them going there or only walks.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life and understand that some animals need special care. I live in a quiet neighborhood with great walking paths! I work a Monday through Friday normal schedule, going into work around 6am and coming home around 3pm each day. I love going on morning, afternoon, and evening walks with my dog, Toby, and he loves to run around our backyard too. Weekends are meant for fun! Sometimes we go to the dog park or a walk through downtown. I care for them by giving them attention, sticking to a nice schedule, and understanding that every animal is different in their own, unique way. Some require more care, others are very chill like my own dog!
