“I was so nervous to find a caregiver for our Zoey. The reason is Zoey is a 3 year old epileptic boxer. Even though her seizures are controlled I was so worried I wouldn’t be able to find someone to keep her overnight and be responsible for her medication. Then I found Jennifer on Rover. I set up a meet and greet and I just knew Jennifer was ready for the challenge. We set up an overnight stay while my husband and I had to be out of town. Jennifer sent so many pictures and updates. About: Hello fellow dog owners! My name is Kevin and I am a fun, loving dog person! My partner and I are new to Fort Wayne, recently moving here from Anchorage, Alaska (yes, we drove!). With a 14 year old senior pooch of my own, I understand the incredible bond we have with our beloved friends. I have had Brita since she was 2 months old, and now that she is a subtle senior, her and I have built a friendship that is forever lasting. “How can I say enough about Clint & Leah? Took a peak at Rover.com at the recommendation of an animal loving friend. Read the profiles. How can you decide who to invite into your mother’s senior living residence to care for her cat for two weeks based on a brief description???? Prayed abt it for awhile and reached out to Clint and Leah. Texted them, believe we spoke on the phone before their initial “meet and greet visit.” (No charge btw). They are a delightful couple, involved in ministry to people and critters! They took on the challenge of caring for our somewhat grumpy cat Mittens. Besides their daily visits to feed and water our cat, the brought in the mail & newspaper, watered the plants, took them out for a sunbath on a warm day, then brought them in from the cold another, played with Mittens, brought my attention to some health concerns, emptied her litter box, swept floor, even brought Mittens her favorite treats, needed hair ball medicine, and a new toy! They visited daily, sending pics and notes abt their visits. When the contracted time was up, the made an extra visit (also non-paid) to return the keys. The peace of mind they gave me was a blessing! If anyone needs a pet sitter for their pet, please don’t be afraid to call on Clint and Leah. They are awesome caretakers. Took a risk on the unknown and Mittens won!”

About: Our family has taken care of friends’ dogs and cats for four years or more. We are now offering our pet services to more ‘07 neighbors. During summers we are available at all waking hours of any days we’re not on a family vacation. During the school year we lose family pet minders during the school day but are available after school and on weekends. We have experience letting ourselves into owners’ homes while they are away to feed, walk, and let pets out for bathroom breaks. We also have a large fenced in yard occupied by our very friendly golden retriever to share with dogs who will treat him well.
About: I have experience in caring for senior and disabled dogs, especially blind ones. I have also reared and house trained two puppies to adulthood and are still with my family to this day. They can walk unleashed (I would never do this with a dog that is not mine!) and even know protective commands. I am currently homebound so you furbaby will have my full undivided attention! I recently lost my senior baby and would enjoy a companion to walk with. I always have leashes and body vest on the door at the ready for any potty breaks and walks, no fence no problem. Stairs and basements will be blocked off all times to ensure safety and rooms will always remain closed. For house guests, we have an end table crate to ensure visibility when I am just resting. There is a regular metal crate and a spare room dedicated to any overwhelmed doggy.

About: I am a loving mother of 2 and I will care for your pets as if they were one of the kids. I have dog sit before and loved it. When I was younger I use to volunteer at the animal shelter with my great-grandma and that's the reason I love animals today. I have flexible hours and can work around your schedule, anything you need I can do from dog baths to walks at the park. We also adopted a cat a couple of years ago, and we just love him to pieces. We also just adopted a dog that we have previously sat for. I currently work at a nursing home, my boyfriend and I work opposite schedules so someone is always at home with your fur babies. Also with it being summer I have my two kiddos help out. I will make sure each animal has proper care including a clean safe cozy shelter, clean water, regular bathroom breaks, going on walks for at least half an hour, who knows it could be longer, and so much more!

My rough checklist for Drop Ins/Walks: -Immediate outdoor break with exercise -Feeding and fresh water and if needed, administer medications. -Clean up litter boxes if taking care of cats and cleaning up any possible accidents -Affection and more playtime and mental stimulation for higher energy dogs/cats. -Any other requests just ask & I will fit those into my checklist Once I leave your home I triple check to make sure your pet is secure, all windows, and doors are locked. I treat your home as its mine when I'm leaving so you never have to worry about your home being secured.

About: I am currently working at Decatur Veterinary Clinic and I have been there for a year now. I am one of the girls who cares for the pets after surgery and if they are boarding! I am also attending Huntington University in the fall and I am committed to play volleyball there as well, so I have practice every Wednesday from 5-7 pm and then I go back to my high school on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8-10 am for extra reps! I have a 12 year old chihuahua and a 8 month old kitten! They are slowly learning to get along but I do have to monitor them if they are out at the same time because my kitten always wants to play but my chihuahua isn’t always a fan! I am always keeping an eye on pets and making sure they aren’t getting into any trouble!
About: I've taken care of dogs since I could remember, I personally have a dog named Baxter that I have taken care of sense I was 14 years old. I have taken care of a newfoundland poodle mix named Arlo for the past two years as well. I am currently training in my off season as a professional hockey player. I have two months off and nothing but love to give for dogs. I am in need of a summer job and this would be the perfect fit! Pet/animal care and safety is my number one priority. I know from personal experience what it is like when someone does not care for your pet when paid and expected to. I no longer use boarders because of past traumatic experiences and because of opportunities like Rover.

“I was so nervous to find a caregiver for our Zoey. The reason is Zoey is a 3 year old epileptic boxer. Even though her seizures are controlled I was so worried I wouldn’t be able to find someone to keep her overnight and be responsible for her medication. Then I found Jennifer on Rover. I set up a meet and greet and I just knew Jennifer was ready for the challenge. We set up an overnight stay while my husband and I had to be out of town. Jennifer sent so many pictures and updates.
