About: I’ve had the joy of volunteering with the Humane Society in my hometown of Dayton, Ohio for many years, as well as pet-sitting for many neighbors and friends! I’m new to Fort Wayne and looking forward to meeting the pets of my new community! I work a flexible schedule as a music therapist. About: I had many cats throughout my childhood and have a sweet cat currently. I have friends and neighbors who have cats and I make drop in visits for feeding and cleaning litter boxes and stay for a bit to play and hang out with them. I can stay at houses when needed to care for the cats.
“I loved that Heather came to meet Farah and I. I could tell right away she was caring and very patient. Our cat sitter couldn't come to check in on Farah while we were on vacation due to unexpected health decline. Heather was willing to with very little notice. We were gone for 13 days and had Heather do a drop in for 11 days. Farah requires eye cleaning just about every day and is super picky about how clean her litter box is. She also hates getting her eyes cleaned and Heather did such a great job with her eye care. She made sure she had clean water each day too. Heather did the best job!! About: Our family has taken care of friends’ dogs and cats for four years or more. We are now offering our pet services to more ‘07 neighbors. During summers we are available at all waking hours of any days we’re not on a family vacation. During the school year we lose family pet minders during the school day but are available after school and on weekends. Whether your dog is a playful puppy, an active adult, or a gentle senior, I will provide the best and reliable care while you are away. I am currently homebound so your fur baby will have my full undivided attention! I recently lost my senior baby so having a temporary walking companion would be great therapy! In my home, your dog will be family. I follow each dog's routine, including feedings times/medications, and any special care instructions provided by the owner. I keep leashes and harnesses ready by the door so dogs are always secured before any potty breaks or walk. If a dog wants to just sunbathe outside, I also have a stake and tie out, so no fence, no problem! To help prevent accidents, stairs and basement access are blocked off at all times, and rooms remain closed. All interactions between dogs will be supervised and there will never be any forced introductions. If a dog needs time to decompress or prefers their own space, I have multiple safe options available, including an end-table crate in the main living area so they can remain close by while I relax, a standard metal crate, and a dedicated quiet room for dogs that may become overwhelmed or simply need a break.

About: I have been around dogs since the day I was born, and my family has always had at least two dogs in our family at all times! I have also always been a trusted source when it comes to watching family, friends, and neighbors' animals! For example, I have watched puppies, dogs, kittens, cats, fish, and even guinea pigs. Two of my own dogs are Leader Dogs for the blind moms, so I have experience with all different kinds of situations and ages when it comes to dogs. I also have experience with elder dogs as I have had 4 dogs pass from old age and have experience with health problems in dogs as well. I currently do not have a job so I am available any day at any time. I do have a prior commitment from July 23rd-27th and I leave for college at the end of August. I have a ton of experience when it comes to safety and caring for pets. My dogs go outside with a leash on, especially during walks. If there is a fence for the pets to use I will keep my eyes on them at all times, because no one ever knows what can happen. I have experience with putting pets into a crate or cage if necessary.

About: Since I was 9 years old, I have been responsible for taking care of my own pets as well as those of my neighbors. This includes dog walking and pet sitting. I’m in college and available on Sundays, Mondays through Wednesday. Other days will vary, but I’m always happy to walk and pet sit according to your pet's specific needs. I am used to feeding dogs special foods that they typically eat and am always open to spoiling them the same way you do! My availability varies. About: I’ve had 4 family dogs, not going a day without a pet in my life! I have cared for family, friends, and neighbors pets. I miss my puppies when I’m away at college, and want to provide love and care for pets while I’m here! I am a full time student, so I have a pretty flexible schedule outside of my classes! I am available both during the week and on weekends I cannot take pets to my house at this time due to liability reason, but I have a beautiful college campus to walk them around! Communication was excellent (photos and videos, along with messages about how he was doing), and Cassandra was willing to accommodate drop-off and pickup requests to fit my schedule for the weekend. I have always been apprehensive about boarding my dogs at a kennel if I have to go out of town for more than one night. Cassandra made Banjo feel at home and kept him in a normal, relaxed environment and routine.”

“Pen had the most wonderful two and a half weeks with Rebecca. He loves her so much I plan to set up some daycare visits just so he can spend time with his best pal. They went in walks and snuggled on the couch, she gave him lots of love and attention, he was always happy and well cared for. He’s a social butterfly and she knew I was okay with him saying hello.
