We were leaving on a 12 day trip and needed someone for our 2 cats, one has diabetes and needs his insulin shots twice a day and he is very timid. A friend recommended Rover and that’s there we found Stefanie. She has been a godsend for our boys. She game to meet them and both weren’t having it, but she reassured us they would be ok. We shut all the doors upstairs & downstairs so they had less places to hide, but Grady hid anyway. I believe she couldn’t find him for the first 2 days and we ended up having our son come over and he finally found him and gave him his insulin. We felt just awful leaving her to deal them, but she persevered and finally earned their trust and it was the best experience /outcome we could have ever wished for. About: My husband and I are lifelong dog lovers with over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for our own beloved Labs. We had the joy of raising a chocolate Lab for 16 years and a silver Lab for 12 years — they were family in every sense of the word. About: I have had many dogs since I was a kid. As an adult, I have had 5 dogs over the years. They have always been adopted from a shelter or rescue group, plus one dog from an elderly friend. I have adopted 2 puppies and the others were several years old when they were adopted. I love their companionship. I walk our current dog as many days/week as possible. She is my travel buddy! I have crate-trained the puppies and provided as much love and care as possible for our senior dogs, including providing medication. My animals are my children and are very spoiled! I'm currently unemployed so available pretty much any time to care for animals. Once I find a full-time job, my schedule may change a bit but if my job is remote then I would have a lot of flexibility to care for the animals. I have a fairly large fenced yard for running and playing. Trees for observing the squirrels! There are 2 outside cats that do not really mind other dogs. My dog has done very well with other dogs as long as they are not aggressive or too big. I also live in a nice neighborhood where dogs can be walked, including a nice, wooded area with a great trail for walking. I also live close to Eagle Creek park where dogs could be walked.

About: I’ve been watching dogs since I was about 8, I’ve been responsible for bathing, giving medicine and making sure they are well loved while owners are away. I specifically love the ability to care for the furry ones you love when you cannot devote the time needed or wanted for them! I am currently in nursing school so my schedule can be wonky some weeks, but my usual availability is 1-6 most weekdays and usually between 8AM and 9:00 PM on weekends! I have a Malshi (Maltese shihtzu mix) he plays mostly In our backyard as well as with my neighbors German Shepard, we live on a 1 acre plot.
