“Wow, Nichole and family were exactly the right recipe for my large sheepdog...he needs a lot of interaction with other dogs because he is super social...yet at the same time, needs down time and affection. I was traveling in EU for work and this was the first time my boy had not been with family while I was away, but I felt more and more confident as the week progressed as I saw the daily pics and nice notes from Nichole regarding his adjustment. From the pics I could tell he was getting lots of exercise and seemed happy. When I picked him up we had a nice chat. About: I have been doing over night stays for around 5 years now! I also have distributed medication, adhered to strict feeding guidelines, vet transportation, and lots of outdoor activities! For me written instructions are the best but I can do anything! I love to help where I can. I am currently working part time and in school but I do have Wednesdays available and the weekends! I also can do late night feedings/ walks I’m off by 7. Currently I am not available to have animals in my living space but that’s why I would love to take care of yours! Mary and her husband are great for the dogs and very flexible with pick up/drop off times which is a big plus for me.”

About: I've been a dog and cat owner and caretaker for more than 30 years. I love spending time with dogs and cats of all sizes and ages! I currently have a German Retriever mix named Callie and a Miniature Pinscher mix named Pippa - both are spoiled rotten, love to play with other dogs and do well with cats. I also have 2 cats - Michonne and Betty White. Both do well with other cats and dogs. I'm currently home most days but will occasionally work from home. About: I have worked in animal shelters and doggy daycares for years, giving me lots of experience caring for and walking all different kinds of dogs, from easy-going seniors to jumping, leash- biting puppies, to hard pullers. About: When I was a kid, I helped my grandfather on his horse farm and would take care of the barn cats. Since then, I have lived in a 3 cat household where two of the cats did not get along and created a schedule so they could both be happy. I can bathe a pet myself if needed, as I have done this for my cat Juniper. My grandparents have two smaller dogs Ginger and Cleo I have cared for for a few days. We have fun taking walks and exploring nature. For bigger dogs, when I was in high school, I would help with the neighbors' Bernese mountain dog Abby, and I have spent a lot of time with my aunt A's doodle Bruno. I have also spent time with medium size dogs, as my aunt B has two pitbull mixes, that are very affectionate and love the dog park. I know that all dogs have different needs and I try to met them. This means that with my uncle’s older pup we won’t do any jogging, but with my aunt’s younger doodle we will definitely jog a bit. I work in education and currently have my days free to spend with furry friends. This means I can be flexible when it comes to pet sitting and spending the night. I am a very friendly, clean, and organized person and I’ll make sure that if I am coming over to your home that food is served and any accidents are cleaned up. As long as you give me a list of what needs to happen for your furry friend, I’ll make sure it gets done. From crating your pup to tricking your pet to take their medication For pups, I will ensure they’ll get the amount of walks needed a day, as well as some outdoor playtime with whatever games they like to play. I will make sure that there is no poop left on our path and check to make sure there isn't anything concerning. Plus, I will feed them according to their schedule. For cats, I will ensure that they get two square meals a day and that their water is never empty. I will also pet and play with them as much as they desire because some cats are more recluse than others. I will also scoop out their litter box, and clean out the litter box if needed

About: The cats my family had (& still have) when I was growing up at home were all strays. Two from a man experiencing homelessness in Manhattan, one abandoned in a park in the Bronx, a fourth found in Queens, & the most recent addition came with the house my family moved to. I used to do drop in visits for my neighbor, my mom’s friend, who also had adopted a lot of strays; I can remember seven of them in total, most of whom she had the same time! I just have one cat of my own now whom I adopted from the 9 Lives Cat Cafe through Misty Eyes, but I fed a lot of Monon cats daily before I got Pumpkin. I teach at a middle & high school downtown, so not only do I have time in the mid to late afternoons & weekends, but I have summers almost completely free. Just let me know when you need me & I can probably come through! My fiancée & I are very particular about Pumpkin, so we understand that pet owners can have specific expectations. Maybe your cat or dog only likes to play in a specific way, or maybe a bunch of ways & they pick a different one each day & I’ll have to figure it out. Pump’s pretty self sufficient, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t spoil her. We don’t see her drink from her automatic water fountain, but we still clean it & change the filter regularly. & don’t worry, having gone to college & graduate school, I’m very good at following directions, & learning to give directions over the past three years teaching has only made me better at it.

About: I have professional experience working in veterinary medicine and providing compassionate, attentive care to animals with a wide range of personalities and needs. Through my experience, I have developed skills in recognizing changes in behavior, safely handling pets, administering medications when directed, monitoring overall health and comfort, and helping reduce stress during care. I’m comfortable caring for energetic pets, senior pets, and animals that may need extra patience or attention. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important trust, communication, and consistency are. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while giving owners peace of mind knowing their pets are in experienced and caring hands. I work full-time Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, with Thursdays and weekends off, but I still make time to provide dependable pet care around my schedule. I’m available for morning drop-ins, evening visits, overnight care when planned in advance, and have greater flexibility on Thursdays and weekends for longer visits, walks, and quality time. I understand how important routines are for pets and will work with owners to make sure their pets receive consistent, attentive care that fits their needs. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. With my background in veterinary medicine and hands-on animal care experience, I pay close attention to behavior, routines, and any signs that a pet may be stressed or uncomfortable. I believe trust is built through communication, consistency, and treating every animal with patience and respect. I work to create a calm, safe, and positive environment where pets can feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away, and I provide updates so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in caring and experienced hands.
About: I was born with pets, cats and dogs. My best friend, a vet tech, has trusted me with her elderly husky and the 2 young ones. All adopted! I loved it so I adopted my own Husky, Kingston (that’s him in my photo). I know training is for the pet AND the human. Exercise, affection, and discipline are keys for a happy pet life, not aggression or cruelty. Pet health and grooming are second nature to me, and I have access to a licensed veterinary opinion in case of emergencies. Ask me anything if concerned, I want to be friends with your fur babies! I work 8 hour days during the week, off by 5. That leaves my availability at evenings and weekends for now. Pet has a LOT of energy? We’re gonna burn it! I go for walks 30 minutes twice daily, morning and evening. Feeding times are specific to the dog so I communicate with you on their routine so they can continue it and still fit in at puppy daycare! I have a two story duplex in Irvington, where I’m surrounded by parks and the Pleasant Run Trail. Pet has a LOT of energy? We’re gonna burn it! I go for walks since the husky boy needs it, and he is trained and friendly and likes to play with friends if allowed so he’s as excited as I am! We take 30 minute walks twice daily, morning and evening. We go to the the dog park (broad ripple or clay terrace) on Sundays. Feeding whenever convenient for the pet I’m watching, some dietetic pets need a strict timeline so we stick to that. Playtime when they are ready to play, but also an organized routine of games and training during that time. Whether I come to you or they come to me, the environment and schedule is pet friendly.

“Wow, Nichole and family were exactly the right recipe for my large sheepdog...he needs a lot of interaction with other dogs because he is super social...yet at the same time, needs down time and affection. I was traveling in EU for work and this was the first time my boy had not been with family while I was away, but I felt more and more confident as the week progressed as I saw the daily pics and nice notes from Nichole regarding his adjustment. From the pics I could tell he was getting lots of exercise and seemed happy. When I picked him up we had a nice chat.
