I reached out pretty last minute with a request that wasn’t exactly simple—she had to pick Ghost up from his training facility (not from me) and coordinate all of that seamlessly. On top of that, she even helped me sort out a small payment detail on Rover to make sure everything reflected correctly, which she absolutely didn’t have to do. She was super responsive, easy to work with, and just handled everything without friction. And the best part—Ghost lit up the second he saw her again after a few months, which tells you everything you need to know. About: I have always loved every different kind of animal out there, but spent my childhood with mostly just cats. 15 years ago, I adopted my first puppy, a German Short-haired Pointer, at the age of 8 weeks. My ex-husband and I decided to take the "treatless training" approach which was a huge success! Crate training, leash training, obedience training were all a collaborative effort and turned out extremely well. 10 years later, we adopted a sweet rescue named Gizmo who was already 7 years old, but became part of the family immediately. They have both passed on now to doggy heaven, but I am always the first to offer to care for other family member's pets anytime I can :) I'm currently working part-time from my home in Blackberry Creek and always have time for some fur-ball company. My 2 girls, 7 and 10 years old, are with me part time and are also very helpful, gentle and patient with our pets and hopefully yours! I have a fenced back yard with plenty of room for your fur-baby to play and exercise! If it better suits you, I can always come to your home as well for potty and play time :) UPDATE 6/8/26 - Since starting my Rover journey in 2022, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many amazing pets and their wonderful families. Along the way, our household has grown and changed in ways I never expected. In 2023, one of my regular Rover pups (actually a senior pup) became a permanent part of our family. Tigger’s owner had rescued him from a Chicago Animal Shelter just months before I began caring for him. As a 100 lb. Staffordshire Terrier, Great Dane, Bully, etc. mix, Tigger was a big boy with an even bigger heart. His owner dedicated to helping him become the best version of himself, especially since he wasn’t always comfortable around other dogs. With patience, training, and love, he blossomed into the sweetest, gentlest giant you could imagine. When his owner unexpectedly passed away, her husband reached out to ask if I would consider adopting Tigger. My answer was immediate: absolutely. I couldn’t bear the thought of him returning to a shelter. Bringing Tiggy into our family was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My girls and I were lucky enough to love, spoil, and cherish him for three wonderful years before he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We miss him every day, but are so grateful for the time we had together. Since then, we’ve also welcomed two adorable brother cats into our home. They keep us smiling and full our days with plenty of fun and affection. While our family has grown, we’re excited to have some doggy energy back in the house through Rover! When your pup stays with us, they’ll be welcomed with open arms and treated like a part of the family. We understand how much your pets mean to you because we’ve experienced firsthand just how special that bond can be. Our promise is simple: we’ll care for your furry family member with the same love, attention, and respect that we give our own. About: I have been pet sitting for several years ever since I was around the age of 13. Additionally, I work at Anderson Humane in South Elgin as a kennel tech and have been working there since August! About: I have been taking care of animals from a young age of 15. I grew up with a German shepherd which started my love for dogs. I use to volunteer at an animal shelter in Iowa when I was going to college. I would walk every single dog because it would break my heart to see them stuck in such a small space. I also rescued around 20 dogs, 50 cats, and one monkey when I was living overseas. I am very empathetic towards animals especially because they are such innocent beings. Having 3 dogs myself I know how necessary it is to have help! 1st I would like to come meet the pet first so we can create a trust. Then I would make sure they were comfortable in their home with plenty of food and water. I would just follow all the rules the owner has for me especially if there dog is on a specific diet. About: Ever since I was little, I’ve always been surrounded by furry friends. I value the tranquility, love, & affection that animals bring. I love every animal; big or small, energetic or calm, you name it! I will take care of your pup the same way I would my own. I am currently working part-time at Enigma 5PM-10PM (Friday & Saturday nights). I also have class midday Monday-Thursday and Tuesday nights. Other than that, I have all the time in the world for your furry friends! I will go above and beyond what is asked. It’s not only walking, feeding, and watching over your pet, but also making sure they’re apart of a schedule, comfortable, and happy while you’re away.
About: I have had pets all of my life, both cats and dogs. I have worked at an animal shelter for three years where I took dogs out for daily walks, gave them enrichment and lots of love and patience. I would love to get to know your dog and find out how to give them the best days possible! I am also very prepared to clean any messes that may occur and make sure that your dog remains safe while we play. I am a part-time college student so I have a few assignments to take care of weekly. I have no other job at this time so school is my only commitment this summer. I always check to ensure that any harmful materials anywhere the animals can reach them. I regularly monitor various toys that are out and ensure that they are not being eaten and playtime is always monitored.
About: I've grown up with animals my entire life and have been caring for them as long as I can remember. For the past three years, I've worked at a local animal shelter, giving me experience in caring for cats and dogs with a range of personalities and behavioral needs. I'm also comfortable giving medication to pets if needed. In addition, I have dog sat for family friends before, so I have experience in this type of care. I have also foster four different dogs that have all gotten adopted, so I'm used to many different personalities. I work part-time four days a week so I can easily find time to care for your animals around that! On Sundays and Mondays I can drop in before 7:30 am or after 12 pm and on Tuesdays and Fridays I can drop in before 2 pm or after 6pm. I am willing to do whatever fits your pet's routine during my drop in visits. I would love to spend time with them each day and make sure they have a great time while you're away. I can crate pets as needed. I'm very flexible on the type of care I'm asked to provide.

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is.. i truly love all dogs and treat them as if they were my own babies. I am attentive to their needs and adapt to their routines. I work full time. 4am -12pm. I am very active and love to go for long walks each day. My girlfriend also does rover and has a star sitter status and is home each day to keep the dogs company and care for them as well Pets are allowed on furniture and in the bed.. or where ever they are most comfortable. I have dog gates and large dog crates if need be.
