About: I am the definition of an animal lover, which I attribute to having had animals around my entire life. I grew up with Australian shepherds, German shepherds, cats, hamsters, and even tarantulas! I am extremely comfortable walking dogs, giving them medication via food, and managing when to let them out to go to the bathroom. I’m also willing to give a big furry dog a good brush if they need it! I have lived primarily with big dogs, but have had close relationships with small dogs through friends and my husband’s family whom I have dog sat for in the past. In addition, I am a massive cat lover. I was given a kitten when I was 8 years old and had her for 19 years until she just recently passed. In her senior years, she had both hypothyroidism and asthma so I am well-versed in giving cats inhalers and medication in various forms (via dropper, ear application, in treats, and in food). I am a dependable dog and cat sitter/caretaker because I know how much your animal means to you. I’m an extremely organized person so you can count on me to be reliable with pick-up, drop-off, and everything in between. Taking care of your animal would not be a job to me because I am so happy to do it! I work twice a week so I could watch an animal full time during three weekdays in addition to weekends. I am still more than willing to watch animal for an entire week and either modify my work schedule to be with them more, or just make sure they are set up for the days I am in office. I have a non-smoking home with one cat and two people including myself. My home would be an extremely relaxing environment for a pet and due to my flexible schedule, I can dedicate nearly full-time care to an animal. Since I have a cat, I would only really be able to have dogs stay overnight for a couple-day stint since I'd prefer to keep them separate. In my client's home I would offer the same care in addition to respecting the environment. I'm naturally a very clean person and always pick up after myself.
“I was really nervous leaving my 9 month month old kitty and 18 year old cat at home for 5 days while i was gone, but Rachel was such a wonderful sitter, and provided me with wonderful photos and thoughtful, detailed updates while i was gone that really put my mind at ease knowing they were in such good hands. I understand that every dog has a unique personality and needs, and I enjoy getting to know each one. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to provide dependable pet care throughout the week. I'm available for dog walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and many weekends. I'll do my best to accommodate your pet's routine and can provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away. When caring for pets in a client's home, I do my best to keep their routine as normal as possible. I carefully follow all feeding, walking, medication (if needed), and exercise instructions, and I make sure they have plenty of attention, playtime, and affection. I also keep the home clean and respect it as if it were my own. I'll provide regular updates and photos so you can see how your pet is doing and have peace of mind while you're away. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved in their familiar environment.

About: I’ve had dogs in my household my whole life. I am friendly, reliable, and able to take care of dogs in need of some exercise or some belly rubs. I used to train horses so taking care of dogs is nothin! I am a college student home for the summer and am available most days except Saturdays. I am also pretty flexible so whatever you and your pet need I can help with.
