Goose, their dog, was a wonderful big brother to Cooper and they all gave him love like he was their own. Cooper was taken on lovely walks on trails and to the dog park and Goose also shared his antlers with Coop which is now his favorite thing to chew! About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 11 years, beginning with my own Yorkie Terrier, Lola. I got Lola when I was in 9th grade, and she was one of my first big responsibilities growing up. I’ve had her ever since, and caring for her throughout her entire life has taught me a lot about patience, consistency, and paying attention to a dog’s individual needs. Over the years, I’ve handled all aspects of Lola’s care, including daily walks, feeding, bathing, grooming, and administering medication. I’ve also cared for larger dogs, including a Weimaraner and a Golden Retriever, staying with both for five days. I currently work from home 90% of the time in marketing and communications for a nonprofit, so I have a flexible schedule and am able to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. I also live an active lifestyle and love going on walks, getting outside, and spending time with dogs. What I love most about dogs is how energetic and affectionate they are. I’m patient, attentive, and want every pet I care for to feel comfortable, safe, and loved while their owner is away. I also enjoy cats and have spent time around them during college. While I’m newer to caring for cats independently, I’m very comfortable following an owner’s instructions and learning each pet’s individual routine. Pet care is already a natural part of my daily routine. Monday through Friday, I wake up around 5 a.m. and go to the gym before starting work. I’m back home around 7 a.m., which is when my dog usually wakes up. She’s a small senior dog who loves to sleep in and stay warm! I take her outside as soon as I get home, then prepare her breakfast. I work from home from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., which gives me plenty of flexibility throughout the day. I give my dog a smalll lunch around noon, depending on when I take my own lunch break, and take her outside afterward. She has dinner around 5:30 p.m., followed by another potty break. On weekends (during warmer weather, 40 degrees and up), I typically wake up around 7 a.m., feed my dog and take her outside, then head to the gym. When I get back, we go on a 20-minute neighborhood walk together. She gets another meal and potty break around 12:30 p.m., and I usually run errands afterward. Dinner is around 5:30 p.m., followed by another potty break. At the end of the day, after dinner, I also make time for her dental cleaning as part of her regular routine. Because I work from home and have a flexible schedule, I’m able to give pets plenty of attention, breaks, walks, and companionship throughout the day. My priority is to make sure every pet feels comfortable, safe, and cared for while their owner is away. I’ll always follow the instructions and routines provided by the owner, including feeding schedules, walks, medication, potty breaks, and any other specific needs. I also think communication is important, so I’m happy to provide updates while you’re away and let you know how your pet is doing. Depending on the pet and the service, I enjoy spending time playing, going on walks, giving plenty of attention and cuddles, and simply keeping them company.

About: I have grown up on a farm where I have acquired most of my skills and knowledge of animals. At a very young age I started training and showing dogs in obedience, which soon led into me showing horses in jumping and dressage. About: I've been a dog owner for 20 years. Over the last 10 years, friends, family and neighbors have entrusted me with taking care of their dogs. 2 years ago, I took on the venture of fostering dogs in my home. My experience with them has been with puppies through adult dogs. Special needs dogs are welcome too, as I have experience with dogs with seizure disorder and other chronic issues. During the time the foster dogs are in my care, I work to establish a routine, learn basic commands and household manners. I work from home Monday-Friday. My pets (and fosters) stay in my office with me when I working. I am able to care for your pets during my breaks, lunchtime and after hours. My weekends can be a bit more busy, but I can be flexible in working with your needs. I have a small fenced in yard for the dogs to stretch their legs, enjoy the outdoors, and of course relieve themselves. Indoors, I do have crates available if your dogs needs some alone, quiet time. My dogs have their own room to offer a safe space for them. The dogs are never left unattended to ensure they don't get into something they are not suppose to. If watching the dog in your home, I will follow any instructions that you give to ensure your dog's safety and happiness.

About: I have had animals my whole life. This past May, I was lucky enough to retire from 33+ years of teaching. Since 2022, I have volunteered at Tails Animal Shelter walking dogs. Last year, we had to say goodbye to our 16 year old dog, and I miss having animals in the house. While I am not ready to get a new dog, I am very excited to take care of other's dogs like they were my own. Whether it is your pet coming to our house or me going to your home, I cannot wait to keep your furry friend company. Communication is a key issue for me. I worried about my dog all the time. I find a way to alleviate that is to send pictures often. Because I am retired, I would be able to be with pets most of the day. I would let them out every couple of hours - more if needed. I can follow any schedule for feeding. I am really flexible and would be able to accommodate most schedules. I would make sure to keep a close eye on your dog while we were hanging out together. Dogs are definitely allowed on furniture (unless you prefer they not be). I can put a dog in a crate if that is comfortable for them as well. Our yard is not fenced, but it is a large yard in the woods. I can also take dogs for walk around our neighborhood or to the riverwalk in downtown Dixon. We also have a property about 15 miles south of Dixon with 80 acres and a pond, so a trip there could be fun as well.

They are knowledgable with dog behavior and their 2 German Sheppards are very well behaved. After meeting Chris and Dan I felt comfortable booking a 4 day stay. Recently Ozzie spent a few hours at Chris and Dan's home so he could become a little more familiar with them and their dogs before his 4 day stay. There are lots of trees around and beautiful grass for them to run around in here. I have always been a natural when it comes to pets, but specifically I love dogs, especially really big dogs! I have had dogs my entire life and I now have a small Shepherd Lab mix at home. I make it a priority to make sure that your dogs are well taken care of, well fed, have lots of fun, and get lots of exercise! So it's more than just a regular boarding/walking experience. Also I am a bit of a photographer so plan on getting lots of beautiful pictures of your dog on the farm from me during their visit. I also have two older daughters who are absolute animal lovers and will play and pet your pups consistently while they are here. I am a stay at home mom so I have plenty of time to take care of your pets, I an usually always home unless I am on a call for thr fire station. My land is not fully fenced off so If need be I will have to walk pups on a leash which is not a problem at all.

About: We have had a dog or dogs for over 20 years. My husband and I both grew up with dogs as well. Our two dogs have been with us since they were puppies and both of them attended three levels of dog training classes. I work part-time very early in the morning and we spend a lot of time at home because my kids are homeschooled. There is usually always someone at home. I will do as much as I can to accommodate the dog owner’s preference in care for their dog. We have two dogs that can play with your dog. If your dog needs to be in a crate I can accommodate that. Our dogs are not allowed on the couches and chairs but my children do let them sleep in their beds.

We even scheduled an overnight for him to try it out, on a night when we were not even going anywhere, so that we could make sure he did ok and that we were comfortable leaving him in their hands Lisa and Russ (her husband) are so friendly and from the moment we drove up the first time, they made us and Nico feel welcome. They showed us around and introduced Nico to their two dogs one at a time, making sure they got along and didn’t overwhelm each other. By the time we left, I don’t think Nico even noticed, because he was having such a blast. Lisa is great about sending updates and photos of his stay, and always has a fun story about his stay when we come back to pick him up. While it’s never easy to leave your pup in the hands of others, we feel very grateful to have found a great home away from home for Nico when we can be with him!”
