I was honest about his behaviors upfront and not once did she seem scared, which is so uncommon, even at dog boarding facilities. Because of her passion for animals, managing behaviors, and training, he had a successful stay and I could enjoy time away without worrying constantly. While I do not expect you to have all of these for your animals too, I do prefer that your animals are vaccinated for at least rabies and distemper for both dogs and cats as well as bordetella for dogs. About: Animals are my passion and caring for them is my kind of fun! The quality of care and love I provide is reflected in my pricing. I have cared for family, friends and my own pets since 2009 - feeding, watering, training and administering medication. I worked for The Animal Hospital of Monticello from December 2021-September 2023 where I cared for many different breeds of cats and dogs, at many different age and health levels. I am familiar with animal first aid and am regularly educating myself on medical concerns/treatments because health is my #1 priority. I also love to learn about animal behavior (of all sorts-I'm very nerdy), enrichment and training because I believe a mentally and physically happy animal is a healthy one. I also have experience caring for exotic animals including guinea pigs, chinchillas, rabbits, and lizards. I am happy to learn the needs of whatever baby I am caring for! I will not board any exotic animal or cats for their safety, but I'm more than happy to provide stop ins! ***If I do not believe I can care for your pet properly for whatever reason, I may have connections to those who do have the ability and I will be happy to help you find a new care giver.*** I am currently caring for two dogs from my home three times a week M,T, Th. They train, play, eat and snuggle with me all day. I also have a twelve year old, so If we humans have errands, vacations or an emergency-I let the pet parents know as far in advance as possible. I have two very friendly Australian Shepherd type dogs, an 12 year old human child, a husband and a cat of my own. (Somehow we all get along!) Your fur baby will have the comfort of lots of friends nearby if they come to stay with us. I do require dogs to be up to date on all vaccinations, dog & cat friendly and kennel trained if boarding with me. (So during quiet times they have a familiar, safe and secure place for them to go if they're feeling overwhelmed, or if I need to separate anyone for any reason. I also believe it's simply safer for the dog in case of an emergency.) All animals are allowed on the furniture and often I will find myself snuggling on the couch with the babies. My family also has knowledge on animal care and handling so your fur baby will be under the best care no matter who is in the room. When stopping in I will spend 30 or 60 minutes with your pet baby (depending on your choice: there is a up charge for 60 minutes) feeding, watering, playing, pottying and walking. When choosing the 60 minutes I will also do basic obedience and manners training with your dog. I could try with cats but I can't guarantee my results. I also love pet photography so taking photos of your babies will be a free service offered along with their stay or stop ins. This will NOT be guaranteed every time.

I live an active lifestyle and love going for walks and runs with your furry friend. About: I like most sitters, love all animals and have always been a big animal person. My strongest skills would be senior care. I have taken care of a lot of senior dogs and cats over the years. I myself also have a senior dog. My senior dog also has epilepsy. She’s medicated, but still has seizure semi often so given that I’ve also gained skills in administrating medicine and also dealing well with stressful situations with a pet. About: I adopted Hanson, a retired guide dog, and he’s now an angel in heaven. He showed me how deep the bond with a dog can be and is the reason I started caring for pets. Two of my childhood dogs required medication, I have experience administering injections and oral medications. I also have experience administering topical and oral medications to cats. I have few routine obligations and will likely be able to make any pet sitting requests a priority. I am generally available from about 8:30am until 11pm every day.
