“Nathan, Jacqueline and their children, along with their "pup" Charlie, were the most welcoming hosts we could have hoped for! Our Levi and Junior are admittedly on the higher-maintainence side and their family took it all in stride. We met with them prior to committing to the hosting in order to make sure the dogs were compatible and to discuss Levi and Jr's needs. It was a very comfortable and easy meeting. We left the initial meeting feeling very comfortable. When the time came to leave our fur babies, Nathan reassured us our pups would be fine. While we were away, we received daily updates with pictures that showed our pups were doing fine and having fun ! The kids took them for walks, and Jr found a new friend in their pup Charlie. When we came to pick them up, they were healthy and happy. It was wonderful to be able to go on vacation knowing Levi and Jr were in good hands. We would definitely recommend Nathan and Jacqueline and their family to host the dogs of friends and family without reservation! If we need to leave our pups again, we would would not hesitate to leave them with Nathan and Jacqueline (if they would agree, if course)! THANK YOU, E. “MacKenzie & Jacob own 4 cats (no dogs but they sometimes board them) and clearly love animals. My 2 sibling kittens were born feral on my farm and when Mama disappeared, I had to take them in. Did not intend to keep them but these kitties had different plans. I am in the process of training them to spend more time indoors, and interact with other humans and animals. How lucky that I found MacKenzie on Rover. My kitties had their own space (spare bedroom) where I set up their familiar bedding, litter box, food, scratch post, etc. I started with a 24 hour stay and will prob try a few more days before taking a longer trip later this year. MacKenzie sent me regular updates. One kitty was slightly braver, exploring her surrounding. They both allowed MacKenzie and Jacob to pet them (although they admit they were shaking, which is no surprise) and they ate (not much) and used the litter box, but barely left the bedroom. MacKenzie & Jacob put them in their carriers minutes before I arrived (the cats only slightly resisted they said) and brought them downstairs with all of their belongings & helped me load it all up. I am very much looking forward to having my kitties spend more time with these two wonderful cat sitters - even when I don’t need a sitter - bc I want them to get more human and kitty interaction and I believe MacKenzie and Jacob’s home is the ideal environment. They are lovely, kind-hearted sitters who will give my babies the love and patience they need to become less feral and become the 2 house cats I need them to be.”

About: I’ve always been an animal lover since I was little. Throughout college I have done all sorts of pet/house sitting for friends, family, coworkers etc. I have house sat for a family friend that required feeding and watering horses, milking goats, reptile care, rabbit cleaning care, medicating cats/dogs if needed, you name it. I currently have a Corn Snake, a Western Plains Hognose Snake as well as a Crested Gecko. I have been a Veterinary Receptionist for over 5 and a half years now. Currently working a max of 30 hours at my day job as a Veterinary Assistant but recently have been working less. Typically I have Sundays and Wednesdays off during the week but sometimes get another random week day off depending on how busy we are at the clinic. My shifts can vary from 8am to 2pm; 8am to 4pm; 9am to 3pm; 9am to 5pm or even 8am to 6:30pm. The earlier I’m off during the day I am able to help after that too. Your home is their home. I will cater to your pet based on what they like or need. If they just need someone to keep them company I’m there. I will treat your space with respect and follow any instructions given. My pets are family and are treated as such so the same would go for your kiddos.

From raising two puppies to housing a friends dog temporarily, I have acquired experience with training dogs as small as french bulldogs to as big as pitbulls! I have a passion for animals and truly treat them as family. About: I’ve taken care of dogs, cats and reptiles. I am a former vet assistant who want to continue working with animals as I have so much love to give. I am currently working full time but I live with multiple people who are willing to help me with boarding. I don’t work all day so I would love to take your pet for walk! I also can do drop ins on my days off which I have 3 days off a week. I also have a partner who is in this with me who loves animals as much. I do have a 8-6 job four days a week for anyone wanting house sitting. I also am able to board reptiles or do house visits for them also. I offer more items like nail trims, baths and anal glands for a low price! I have a privacy fenced in yard with some running space. We have a pool but dogs do not have a way into it. I have 4 dogs and 2 cats. The house stays clean and we are neat freaks and we have an up and downstairs in case of wether safety. I have practiced. Weather safety with my animals and continue to due so. My animals have ever shot you can think of and they are on flea and tick prevention and heartgard.

I spent my whole life on my family’s farm, where I helped care for everything from dogs, cats to livestock. Currently, I work at a dog boarding and daycare facility, where I get to spend my days caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Between that experience and years of helping friends and neighbors with pet sitting, I’ve learned how to make every animal feel comfortable, safe, and loved while their people are away. At home, I have two dogs and a cat of my own, so I completely understand how much trust it takes to let someone else care for your pets. My goal is always to treat your pets like my own. I currently offer house-sitting, drop-in visits, and dog-walking, and I’m happy to tailor each visit to your pet’s routine. I’m a college student at Illinois State University and work part-time at a dog daycare and boarding facility. My schedule is flexible, and I have plenty of availability throughout the week and on weekends for house sitting, walks, or drop-in visits. I will keep my eye on your pet and make sure they are as safe as possible under my watch. I will give them comfort when in need.

About: Fur babies are my life … No literally! 🤗 I’m a Veterinarian Assistant so caring for your pet is literally what I do, what I love.🥰 I do pick ups and drop offs !! I work in VETMED at a local Veterinary clinic part time . So that gives me tons of extra time during the week. I also do drop in during my work day as well. !! I have a fenced in yard and a very nice fur baby to keep your fur baby company. I do also have created if needed.
About: I've owned animals all my life. As a kid in school I had two Mastiff puppies who were with me until they were 6. As they had health issues that came on later in their life! My mom has 4 yorkies who I have lived with and taken care of one of them was just put down. I currently have a 2.5 year old German shepherd, 1.5 year old Rottweiler mix and a 7 month old German shepherd. Who love to have friends. They love all animals! I'm currently working from home so I am very flexible with times needed. I currently have a home with no fenced yard. But lots of space for dogs to play and run. I also live right around the corner from a dog park. I am currently working from home! So I have plenty of time to drop in and play with your dogs let them out. Take them for walks anything your sweet pup desires! I currently have no fenced in yard but have a lead and am always out with the dogs when let out! I also have 3 friendly dogs who all love to meet new friends and keep them company.

However, Jenelle completely exceeded my expectations. She was incredibly thoughtful and even suggested a meet-and-greet before the stay to make sure Banjo would be comfortable. She showed such patience and care with him, especially since he’s a shy and nervous dog. Throughout our trip, Jenelle kept us updated with regular photos and videos, which really helped ease my worries. About: I’m an animal science major with plans to pursue veterinary medicine, and caring for animals—especially dogs—is truly what lights me up. During high school, I was the go-to neighborhood dog walker, caring for dogs ranging from large breeds to small pups, which helped grow my confidence and love for working with all kinds of dogs. I also have four years of hands-on experience in a busy dog daycare, where I’ve worked with pups of all sizes, breeds, and personalities—from energetic zoomie experts to shy cuddle bugs.
