“We needed care for our almost 13 year old quirky dog, Lucy for a week while we traveled to Michigan to be with my mom while she had major surgery/recovery. I found Debbie on Rover and contacted her regarding boarding Lucy while we were gone. On the phone, I immediately felt comfortable with Debbie. We chatted for 15-20 minutes and I told her all of Lucy's "quirks." She invited us over for a meet and greet right away to ensure Lucy (and us) felt comfortable. Our Lucy has been recovering from a leg injury and also has been a VERY picky eater. Therefore we needed someone that would be very patient with her. Debbie and her family were amazing. Debbie and her husband were able to get Lucy to eat regularly and also take her vitamins! This has been a feat for us let me tell you! They even taught me a couple tricks to get Lucy to eat her vitamins! And since Lucy has come home, she has been so much better with her eating and her leg as well! I couldn’t be more happy ? We received updates every single day...and Debbie took so many beautiful photos of Lucy. She really has a talent for photography! I never had to worry for a minute about Lucy. She was spoiled rotten by Debbie and her family. We cannot express how grateful we are to have found Debbie and her family.”

About: Ive taken care of family members dogs before. I’ve also had experience with puppies and adult dogs! I have 1 dog of my own and it would be fun to be able to take care of other dogs as well :) I work part time and most of my afternoons I’m free! I always love going on walks in the afternoons anyways so having someone to walk with would be awesome! I have a fenced yard and a crate inside if needed. I do have kids but they’re all very gentle with our animals here at home.

When I was first out on my own and bought my first home, I rescued a pit bull and she was with me until she passed. We have 2 sons - ages 6 and 10, so kid-friendly dogs are a must. We are available any day of the week at any time, unless we have something specific planned (which is not often). About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was probably around ten years old. Making sure they are fed, played with, and petted are all ways to show them they are pampered and loved, and that’s something I strive to do! I work a part time job, but I can always do my best to make my schedule flexible. The only unchanging thing I have is going to the gym for about an hour, but I will always come right back! My service is completely up to you! If your furry friend needs to go in the kennel for a little bit, I can do that. If he or she needs to be walked for an hour every day, I can absolutely do that as well. Once again, my service ends wherever you need it to!

About: I have been a Petco certified dog trainer since I was 18 and have dog/house sat many times since! I treat your dog like family and your home with respect! I am flexible! I am available Mondays and Thursdays all day. Saturdays I get off work at 2:00pm I work 9-5 during the rest of the days of the week. But I always need an excuse to use PTO so watching your fur baby won’t be problem! I just need a two week notice Quality time will be spent with your fur baby to make sure they keep busy. Plenty of playtime and mental stimulation. I love using puzzle toys, snuffles and other things to get a dogs mind working!

I am patient and understand that not all cats love to cuddle. I am happy with a kitty on my lap, but happy with just talking kindly to them as well. She did the cutest arts and crafts projects with them, brushed them, took out the trash and left my place spotless (other than the amazing arts and crafts I came home to.) All of my instructions were followed perfectly, she never left any trash behind, and brought so many treats and toys for the kitties! She came to meet the kitties ahead of time and bonded with them so fast. I would trust Brianna with my cats in a heartbeat and I don’t even trust my parents with them.”

About: I got my first dog (fox terrier) at 10 and was primarily responsible for his needs until I went to college. He lived to be 11 and I loved those 10 years with him so much. During high school and college until COVID started, I pet sit several dogs and a few cats. Then I adopted a retired racing greyhound when COVID started and adopted a rescue great dane in fall 2023. I would describe myself as consistent, adaptable, respectful, confident, observant, and caring. I am very understanding to the fact that every dog has different needs and that every owner has their own rules/training styles. I am an experienced dog handler. When I adopted the rescue great dane, he was completely untrained with very dangerous and challenging behaviors. I worked with 3 different trainers, took him to a group obedience class, and researched as much as I could to train him to be the good dog I knew he could be. After almost a year of rigorous training, he has been able to become an amazing well behaved dog. I am completely open to taking care of any breed, size, age, and personality. I will not shy away from or turn down taking care of the "difficult" dogs, or puppies, or senior dogs with many medical requirements. All dogs are great and deserve great care while their human is away! Last Updated: 7/9/2025 ***I live in a neighborhood off of Route 45 and Sterns School*** WALKS AND DROP-INS - Reoccurring bookings: Mon-Wed/Fri-Sun 11:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m.; Thu 1:00-7:00 p.m. - One-time bookings: Can be outside of the above times if needed, but confirm with me first. ***A DISCOUNTED WALK RATE IS AVAILABLE DURING ALL BOARDING, HOUSE SITTING, AND DAYCARE BOOKINGS*** - 30 min walk per day = $10 (usually $20) - 15 min walk per day = $5 HOUSE SITTING: I am available to stay with your pet in your home any night and day of the week almost 24/7. HOUSE SITTING: I am okay with multidog homes. I will leave your house the way you had it when you leave and I can get your mail/packages/put your trash cans out and back in as well. I can take care of other animals you have as well while you are gone. BOARDING/DAYCARE: Safety and peace of mind is of utmost importance for me. Since I have 2 large dogs already, I can only take one dog at a time. (Caveats: If an emergency, I could take a second dog; if you have two well-behaved small dogs, that might be okay too - just ask me). The greyhound is very chill and is great with any well-behaved dog. The great dane is fine with well-behaved small dogs. I will always take it slow on leash when introducing the dogs to each other and then they will always be supervised when together. Only other pets I have are fish. I have no kids. I keep the house very clean and doors to rooms/bathrooms closed so no way of getting in to things they shouldn't! I have a decently sized fenced backyard. There is a few feet of the fence that is higher off the ground so if I can keep small dogs on leash when they go out. I can also take them out by themself if necessary. I live in a 4 bedroom house with a basement so plenty of room in case the dogs need a break from each other or need to play separately from each other. Additionally, the great dane is extremely well crate trained and has an upstairs and downstairs crate that can be utilized. If I had to leave for some reason while your dog is staying at my house (which I rarely do, all dogs would be separated (by crate or being in a different room). You can bring their crate and/or I have an extra crate as well. All dogs can sleep in the bedroom but not on the bed!

About: I have been a dog owner for 20 years, I currently have a Belgian Tervuren puppy who would love the company. I have 1/2 acre fenced in yard. I am home during the day and evening. Dogs can play outside or come inside if they would like. I would be happy to board your dog and make sure they are comfortable coming here. I work at home so pets would be not a problem as I can tend to them al all times. During the evening I can play with them and interact with the dogs so they feel comfortable. I have a 1/2 acre fenced in yard as well as security cameras so that I can monitor the yard at all times. The dogs love running around in my yard.

My home is on a 1/2 acre fenced in wooded lot with a cabin like interior and country atmosphere that is both welcoming , safe, and fun for my dog guests, and I make it a top priority to treat your dogs like family. I also have lake access with a private beach if your dog(s) like to swim. I frequent the lake county dog parks and would love to take your dogs along if that is something you are comfortable with. I am very flexible - and typically available 7 days per week. I am available nights, weekends, and holidays. Ideally allow for two days advance notice. Safety is my top priority. I have a 1/2 acre fenced in lot, and a very warm and comfortable dog friendly home, that was once a summer cottage close to Round Lake. I am on a quiet dead end road which is very safe for walks, as well as freedom to roam the yard. My goal is to customize my services to meet your dogs needs, whatever they may be. I will treat your pets as I do my own- like family- lots of fun, exercise and plenty of TLC.
About: I truly take care of pets, being responsible and careful. I have had pets with disabilities, very old, and I have given them medicine orally, and topically and changed the bandages, as well as fed with my palm for very old and blind ones. I currently work part time and mostly available to take care of pets. My schedule is flexible for boarding on and off, as well as weekends I live in a single house with fenced backyard. I am available for taking care of your loved ones and have a nice place in my house for them❤️. It is clean and cozy.
About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was eight years old. I had my own dog at this age until I turned 20 years old. I have also taken care of my friends dogs, or cats. This has made me be comfortable with feeding, walking, taking care of animals. I am reliable, timely, and really do love animals. About: I am moving back to Lake Villa for the summer from Boston. I am looking to make extra money. I have experience giving medicine to dogs (my dog has Addison disease). I am comfortable taking care of dogs of any size. My dog is a year and a half old and is 70 pounds. I love taking dogs on walks. Jamie is definitely the dog walker you need! Kona’s first few weeks was rough with a lot of crate clean up. Jamie took the crazy messes like a “walk-in-the-park,” pun intended. Jamie is well experienced with dogs and their special needs. Highly recommended!”

About: I’ve owned dogs and cats my whole life and being the oldest child I was always had the most responsibilities when caring for our animals. I currently have one cat and also have experience caring for some reptiles, small animals, and fish. I have previously dog sat for my former manager for 3 weeks. During this stay, her dog needed a few types of medication daily which I was able to correctly administer despite her dog being rather large and headstrong. Several coworkers have also trusted me to care for their animals while they were away or out of town. I do as much as I can to ensure my animals have the best life they can and I will make sure I do the same thing for yours. I just moved to the area and don’t start my job for another month. I have all the time to do whatever you need for your pet! If your pet need to come to me, my apartment complex has a large open space outdoors. They will have plenty of space to run around :)

“We needed care for our almost 13 year old quirky dog, Lucy for a week while we traveled to Michigan to be with my mom while she had major surgery/recovery. I found Debbie on Rover and contacted her regarding boarding Lucy while we were gone. On the phone, I immediately felt comfortable with Debbie. We chatted for 15-20 minutes and I told her all of Lucy's "quirks." She invited us over for a meet and greet right away to ensure Lucy (and us) felt comfortable. Our Lucy has been recovering from a leg injury and also has been a VERY picky eater. Therefore we needed someone that would be very patient with her. Debbie and her family were amazing. Debbie and her husband were able to get Lucy to eat regularly and also take her vitamins! This has been a feat for us let me tell you! They even taught me a couple tricks to get Lucy to eat her vitamins! And since Lucy has come home, she has been so much better with her eating and her leg as well! I couldn’t be more happy ? We received updates every single day...and Debbie took so many beautiful photos of Lucy. She really has a talent for photography! I never had to worry for a minute about Lucy. She was spoiled rotten by Debbie and her family. We cannot express how grateful we are to have found Debbie and her family.”

About: Ive taken care of family members dogs before. I’ve also had experience with puppies and adult dogs! I have 1 dog of my own and it would be fun to be able to take care of other dogs as well :) I work part time and most of my afternoons I’m free! I always love going on walks in the afternoons anyways so having someone to walk with would be awesome! I have a fenced yard and a crate inside if needed. I do have kids but they’re all very gentle with our animals here at home.

About: My husband I both grew up with golden retrievers and have a soft spot for them. When I was first out on my own and bought my first home, I rescued a pit bull and she was with me until she passed. My husband, sons and I are all dog lovers and would love to welcome your dog into our home. My husband is home full time and I work from home and we are anxious to care for your pet! We have 2 sons - ages 6 and 10, so kid-friendly dogs are a must. We are available any day of the week at any time, unless we have something specific planned (which is not often). Please feel free to ask about specific dates and times and I will be sure to add you to my calendar! My husband is home full time and I work from home so we have ample amounts of time to care for your pet. My 2 sons LOVE dogs and love to play and take dogs on walks. Our yard is unfenced, per our HOA rules so your pet will always be on a leash for potty breaks and walks around the neighborhood. Pets are free to explore the entire home and will not be crated or gated, unless a crate is provided and requested.
