About: Growing up on a farm, we always seemed to have plenty of stray cats around. 🐱 I can remember trying so hard to pick them up and love on them, only for them to run away from me! 😂 As an adult, my family and I have been blessed with two cats who became very special parts of our family. About: Having grown up around everything from hedgehogs to mastiffs and either helped or been responsible for their care, I have a lot of practice in many areas of pet caregiving. I have studied dog and cat behavior in particular, and though my specialty is with cats, I am very well-versed in dog communication as well. I also have experience medicating ill or disabled animals in a way that limits stress and maintains a healthy relationship. I work from home on a flexible schedule, so I can shape my schedule to what's best for your pet. My ideal pairing is with night owls like myself, as I tend to sleep in and stay up late. If you're planning a date night, or if you work late and can't check on them, I can fill in those gaps. I believe that a safe and low-stress environment is best accomplished by knowing who I'm working with. If your pet is skittish around new people, I will move calmly and avoid eye contact or unprompted touch. If they want a playmate for when their people are away, I can be exciting and fun! If I need to do anything that may be stressful to your pet, such as bathing them, correcting behavior, or medicating them, I will take extra time to sit with them and let them hear my voice in a nonthreatening context, to bring the relationship back to something more trusting. I do not wear strong scents or talk loudly, and if play gets too out of hand, I know how to calmly but firmly redirect into more acceptable behaviors.

About: I have worked with pups and kittys since I was little, I have done puppy training all the way to taking care of senior pets. I have had much practice over the years with all of my own furry family members and now to having a few solid clients I service on a regular basis before even joining Rover. So I love taking care of folks furry family members including my own Doberman and my sisters cat while she's gone away at college. However I work for the government Tuesday - Saturday 10:30 a.m.-7p.m. so I can be there during the mornings and I can take care of them as soon as I get off work in the evenings for feedings, potty breaks, walks, etc. Unfortunately, I more than likely will not be able to do midday potty breaks so if you're someone who works from home and let's them out frequently it probably will not work out. But if they're used to being in during the day already from work schedules then it should be a perfect fit! I take care of my Doberman pup through trainings with positive reinforcement via toys and treats. I feed him every morning and evening, taking him on walks out in the woods and letting him run wild in our big back yard.
About: I have grown up with cats all my life, fed strays and befriended almost every cat that was said to 'not like people'. I have experience with special needs cats; blind, deaf, tripod, epileptic (my 5 year old boy, Pinball in my pfp), and a few others. With that cones experience with physical therapy, medications (except injections. As I work from home, your pet will receive consistent attention throughout the day, regular walks, playtime, and plenty of companionship. With my work from home environment I am able to deal with pets all times during the week. I do travel some weeks, in which I will not take on any pets. I am flexible on schedules. Once I start caring for your animal, they're apart of my family too ❤️ My schedule is relatively flexible. I can care and watch for them anytime from 8am-5pm on the dates I have available, I'm willing to do night care but I prefer during the day. Overnight stays are something to be discussed, as each situation is unique. My pets are very spoiled. The ones I live with now were my partners before coming into the relationship, but they quickly stole my heart. Khloe (Akita dog) loves her cheese, butter and chicken, she free roams our yard in colona, and goes on multiple car rides and adventures. I walk her at least twice a week, but she's older and has difficulty keeping up. Kourtney (tabby cat) loves to get pets when it's on her terms, has an rbf, and speaks her mind. She's not mean, doesn't attack others or hiss at people, but she's stands further away to observe more than participate. These two absolutely love each other, and cuddle all the time. Any time I watch my friends animals I really stick to the schedule or plan that's given to me. Even all the quirky things that they need to feel comfortable while you guys are away. The animals feeling comfort, safety, and love is always the number 1 priority.
About: What sets me apart from others? I managed a humane society and owned a dog transportation business. I have 2 girl dogs that are 11 and 3 yrs. I have always had dogs and pets. I’ve sat for friends and family a lot. I put my dogs through training so I know basic commands and how to interact with dogs well. Also I can handle dogs in unexpected situations in a safe and careful manner. I think caring for dogs is fun and relaxing. I started taking care of dogs when I was 3 and have almost always had one or more dogs. My dogs love other dogs. I will walk, play fetch, and jog with dogs. I love meeting all kinds of animals and dogs and have no problem cleaning up after them and following any type of schedule they might be on. We live in a great area for walking dogs. I have 10 years of professional dog walking and pet sitting experience. I have taken care of pets with many different needs. I had my own dog transporting business for a year but I got tired of being on the road. I managed at a humane society for 2 years as well. I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of time to play with pets. I have a flexible schedule. I usually have 3 days off a week and have lunch breaks on the days that I do work. I have 2 playful, friendly pups. I also have lived with cats most of my life. I understand the dynamic of a multi pet household.
About: I have had cats, dogs, rabbits, mice, rats, fish, hermit crabs, tarantulas and many other types of pets of my own (cats and dogs my whole life) as well as cared for friends and family's pets since I was a little kid. I also volunteered at many local animal shelters in my late teens. I also have experience with different types of special needs animals; mostly cats in that aspect. (Paralyzed, deaf, blind, epileptic, diabetic and tri-pod) My daily and weekly schedule changes with my regular work schedule and my kids school schedule, but I am typically available during day time hours on weekdays, most likely at least one available night time drop-in available and can make myself available on Saturdays, if need be. Your pet will be more comfortable in an familiar environment such as their own home, so I would prefer to see them in their own home. I ask you leave a note somewhere prominent (i.e. kitchen table or counter) with quick point reminders of food/water bowl locations, food locations, treats, and any special reminders such as medications w/ times. I will take time to get to know your pet, play with them if they like or pets, loves snuggles... It's really all about what your pet wants/needs from me! I will also have my 17 year old daughter and/or my 12 year old daughter along to help care for your pet(s), if that's OK with you. Between the three of us we can run your whole zoo if you'd like!! We can do walkies for pets that need a little extra excersize. Shopping trips to pet-friendly local areas/shops/parks if wanted/permissible!
