About: I have had dogs my whole life. Watching family and friends dogs gives me great joy! Dogs have been a part of my whole life. I love them dearly, my sister in law travels quite often which gives me the opportunity to watch her two dogs. One is a puppy full of energy and they are so fun to spend time with and play. Love going on walks to the forest preserves out in nature. let me be your dogs new friend. I work four days a week Tuesday thru Friday until 3:30pm. I'm available for boarding Friday nights thru Monday. I can take dogs for walks on Mondays, Weekends, and Tuesday-Friday after 4. I have a big home plenty of space to run around and play. My backyard is good size and fenced in. I can update you with photos of your dog. I can maintain the feeding schedule as required. About: I grew up with dogs, cats, bunnies, and other animals in-between! In the last 17 years, I've been a cat mom, and recently had a dog with my ex-partner (who I still care for when they're out of town). The only constant in my life has been animals, and I get such a joy out of playing with them, taking them on walks, cuddles, and seeing their personalities come out. I used to work at a pet store (back in the day), and in the last 5 years, actually helped stray dogs + cats in my neighborhood find incredible families. I work from home during the week and can take care of walking, feeding, and socialization. I'm also a performing musician so I travel around the Chicago-land area frequently. I understand how nerve-wracking it can be for pet parents and the pets when there's disruption in their routine, so I try to do everything as it normally is - feeding, walking, training, giving treats, etc.

“We were very happy to find Joanne and her family to care for our dog Tipper. They were very friendly and very complimentary of Tipper when we had our meet and greet. Tipper is a high energy pup and got along well with their dog Honey. Joanne sent daily updates with pictures which we appreciated. When we picked Tipper up she had all her things packed up and ready to go. We appreciated that because we were tired from our trip. We were also pleased that Tipper was tired too. This tells us she was given lots of attention and activity during her stay at Joanne’s. Tipper spent the afternoon and evening napping as we did too. We have already mentioned to Joanne that we’d like to use her again this summer. We highly recommend her as a great dog sitter!”

I’m Jessica, a lifelong dog lover - I’ve grown up with dogs since I was 10 🐶 While I don’t currently have a dog of my own, I get my dog fix by fostering and volunteering with Second City Canine Rescue as an adoption event handler and foster babysitter. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, personalities, and comfort levels. I'm comfortable with anxious or high-attachment dogs, senior dog care, and medication administration. I’m happy to welcome your pup into my home or stay with them in theirs. I’ll treat your dog like family and keep you updated with lots of pictures along the way! I’m available on weekends for boarding and house sitting and can typically extend this until Monday/Tuesday, when needed. My full time job allows for a lot of flexibility and I am able to stick to a pet’s normal routine. I care for every pet as if they were my own. I always follow the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walking routines, and any special needs. I make sure pets have plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and a calm environment where they feel safe and comfortable. In a client’s home, I respect their space and keep everything clean and organized. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners feel confident their pet is happy and well cared for.
