“As a first-time Rover user and a nervous dog mom, I was hesitant to leave Banjo with anyone, especially since we just adopted him from a shelter. However, Jenelle completely exceeded my expectations. She was incredibly thoughtful and even suggested a meet-and-greet before the stay to make sure Banjo would be comfortable. She showed such patience and care with him, especially since he’s a shy and nervous dog. Throughout our trip, Jenelle kept us updated with regular photos and videos, which really helped ease my worries. Banjo came home happy, relaxed, and clearly had the best time with Jenelle and her own dogs. I think he was a little upset that we were taking him home because he had so much fun!! He has stayed at the vet before and hated being in a small kennel, he has been to a kennel a couple times, and while taken good care of there—he was separated from being inside a house with a family—what he is used to and what dogs want!!! He is getting older, has medicine he takes and just wants a little love when we were out of town. He quickly made friends with both of their dogs!! About: I have had dogs in my household all my life. They’ve become my family and I care for them as such. I am a dependable student who spends all of her spare time loving her cats and dogs, animals are one of my passions. Currently, I have two dogs in my household who I take care of and love everyday. Personally I don’t go out of town a lot regularly so I’m available most days but I will update my schedule regularly if I will be out of town. I’m open to staying at your house to watch them, or just dropping by to let them outside, or even just to make sure they feel safe while you’re gone. I plan on caring for your dogs, just like I care for mine. I have two cats of my own that I take care of completely, but I also help out my family with their three dogs we currently have in the house. One is a toy Berniedoodle and the other is a lab/bordercollie. I am the one in our family that does the puppy training. I am a retired school teacher. I am home most days unless I have errands to run. I love to take our dogs for walks. I have two friendly dogs. One of our dogs is very playful. The other is shy at first but warms up. They are crate trained at night. We have a dog door so our dogs go in and out all day. We have an extra crate if needed. Our dogs are allowed on the furniture for snuggles.

If the distance to your home is within a reasonable distance from my job I can typically do a walk within my shift as well. Mondays and Tuesday’s I’m off all day and can come at any time. To me, pets are family and I have always taken care of them like that. When I'm trusted to take care of someones pet, I treat them like their baby. We have 3.5 acres of farm and woodland. 1 acres is wooded and we have a trail and creek to play in. If things get too messy, we can always rinse off in the hose. I have a lead out back, but if your dog doesn't need it great! If your dog requires a little more, I have a fenced in area behind the barn that we can venture to as well. I live on a private drive, so not a lot of traffic and its nice and peaceful. I work 8-4 Monday through Friday. I live 20 minutes away and usually come home on my lunch break at 12 to let my dogs out and to let them run and play. I wake up early to take care of my chickens and ducks and let my dogs run around for about 30 minutes outside. With other dogs, we might wake up a little earlier and go on a trail or just walk up and down the road(.5miles) maybe more if needed. We then come inside and eat and drink and they are usually ready to go back to bed by the time I leave for work. On my days off we are outside constantly. If your dog is an introvert or loves ac, we do also let our dogs on the furniture for extra lounging. 🤣 At night we do a bit more outside since we make our rounds to make sure the birds are safe and fed and maybe another walk in the woods. Before bed, we do tick checks just in case! I care for all pets like my own and all pets have the same freedoms as my fur babies(unless specified so your doggo doesn't come home with any habits you don't want them to have). I have blankets on my couches and dog beds all over the house.

We are a foster family for a local dog rescue organization where we take in one or two dogs at a time until they can find their forever homes. About: I have taken care of many different types of both dogs and cats while growing up. We always had an animal in the home. They've ranged from full blooded to mixed breeds. I currently have a dog that I adopted through the animal shelter that I work for. About: Starting in 2020, I spent a few years on the road doing a variety of gigs, primarily animal transportation. I got to see the entire country and meet a ton of awesome animals - mostly dogs & puppies, but rabbits, kitties, lizards, too. I have since planted my flag in Galesburg, IL, and am hoping to build up a clientele of regular check-ins here in this area as I build a home for myself off the road. I am happy to book new clients through Rover, but I do most of my gigs through direct booking after the initial sit. Since Rover keeps 20% of a sitter's fee, please consider tipping in full to make up the difference. Upon meeting new clients, I would like to let folks know that it is common courtesy to compensate a potential sitter if they are traveling from out of town for a meet & greet. It is not expected but greatly appreciated to offer to stock the fridge for overnights, especially for longer sits. These are things I have learned from my favorite clients, families that have taught me how to make a happy living caring for their beloved households. Dogsitting is what I do for a living. I don't mind driving out of town for overnight gigs with appropriate compensation. Just ask and let's see what we can set up. For overnights, I like to keep handwritten notes throughout the day and have little photoshoots here and there. I prefer to check in via text at the end of the day w some nice photos and a brief summary of the day's events. My clients enjoy reading the full report when they get home.
About: I used to live on a ranch including dogs and cats. I’ve had many years of caring for them and when anything happens to them, I’m the first one that gets called to get asked what they can do to help them. I am full time Monday-Friday but I would love to take care of your pets after! Anytime after 4:30 will be the best time I can come after work but on the days I’m off, anytime works Whatever the rules are, I will follow them. If dogs are needed to be crated at a certain time, I can do that and if they need free time constantly then I am all for that as well.
