“So incredibly grateful I found Melanie to take care of my boys for an extended weekend. She provided daily updates and tons of pics to ensure the guys were adjusting nicely to their vacation home. Definitely planning to use her excellent care in the future!”

“Deborah took very good care of my fur baby! She was very detail-oriented and made sure to know what Ramses’ needs prior to his stay. Will definitely book again with her.”

“Keandra went above and beyond to make sure my dog had a good time. She also was very flexible with pickup/drop off times which was helpful since I had a flight early in the morning. She also gave my dog a free shower and made sure he got plenty of exercise and play time with her dogs. 100% would recommend Keandra”

“Peggy was awesome! I would definitely recommend her to anyone!! My cats were stressed with all the changes that were happening (we were moving) and they were safe and well cared for by Peggy in a time they needed a place to be during that transition. She is kind and caring!!”

“Justin and Trung took wonderful care of Luke and Leo for the third time, and the boys were absolutely thrilled to see them! We truly appreciated being kept updated daily with photos and videos of L&L. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were happy and well-cared for. We will definitely be trusting Justin and Trung with Luke and Leo again for our next vacation”

“Amber is the best sitter I’ve had for Beanie so far. I’ve rebooked with her multiple times, and every experience has been wonderful. The last time I dropped Beanie off, she was having some diarrhea issues, but Amber handled it so well. She checked with me before feeding her pumpkin, and it really helped Beanie feel better. Beanie absolutely loves spending time with Amber, which gives me so much peace of mind. Amber clearly understands dogs and knows how to care for them with both knowledge and compassion. Dog owners can truly relax and trust that their pets are in great hands with her.”

“Highly recommended! Our 5 month old puppy was so well cared for, and we could tell right away that she felt comfortable and happy. We really appreciated the daily updates and photos—it gave us peace of mind knowing she was in good hands. We couldn’t have asked for a better first Rover stay and will definitely be booking again.”

“Brian and Deb took great care of Luna while we were out of town for the weekend! We loved getting the pictures and updates, knowing she was enjoying her time with them. I’d highly recommend them if you’re in need of someone to watch your dog while you’re away.”

“So, we all love our dogs. I personally think my dogs are the best dogs in the world, and worthy of the very best care, and someone who will allow them to feel loved when we need to leave them behind. The reality is that we never know exactly what is happening with our beloved pets when we entrust them to someone else. My fur-babies can’t tell me. So the best we can do is look for someone who we believe is trustworthy and caring. What do I believe? I believe that Amanda and her family are caring and honest. This family has a great capacity for love, and my dogs feel loved when they stay with them. Amanda and her husband have their hands full caring for 5 kids, work schedules, and volunteering in their community. But they also have the energy and organization skills to excel in handling their responsibilities. My dogs have 5 kids/teens to play with them, and that also makes them happy. Their new house currently only has a small enclosure in the back yard. But my furbabies were apparently taken out on a leash regularly. I believe them when they say that they will be enlarging the fenced area in the near future. I do not hesitate to recommend Amanda and her family. If your dogs need a family that takes the time to play, cares for them, and takes time to snuggle with them, I believe this family is your best bet.”

“Julianne (and Luxe!) are always just super and caring hosts. Our dog has a super time whenever she stays with them, and we get lots of adorable photos that show us their adventures!”

“This was our first time having our puppy sleep over with a sitter. Kat was very patient with me and answering all my questions. I never felt pressured or rushed! Kat sent pictures and was prompt with responding to my check ins. I will definitely use Kat again.”

“Elsie is a very nervous dog and scared of everything, Melissa was very kind and patient with her and I never worried that she wasn’t getting the best of care! I received pictures and updates regularly which just made us happy and put us at ease. Melissa is caring and kind and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a care giver for you puppy. By the time I went to pick Elsie up I felt like we’d be friends forever thank you Melissa!”

“Kayla and her family made our dogs feel at home. They were well cared for, we got daily updates and pictures. I really appreciate knowing how they are while I’m gone. Our dogs were happy to see us, but went back in the house to say good bye to the family before saying good by to Kayla and her family. Thank you all for the care and love you gave our fur babies.”

“We don't leave our 15 year old Sadie very often. As soon as I met Justin, their kiddos, and their dog, I knew she was in the best hands. Thanks to them for making her so comfortable and welcome. I would not hesitate to book with them again. ❤️”

“As usual - our dogs were loved on like they were at home! Rae and Dave are great at communicating and making sure the dogs are safe and cared for to put our minds at ease. We can't thank them enough.”

“I couldn't be happier with the care Luna received! Chris and Erika were attentive, loving, and kept me updated with photos. Luna came home happy and healthy! Highly recommend!”

“Another successful weekend with Hailey. I think we keep this up, you will be Penny's new mama should something happen to hubs and I. She adores you and your farm, as do we! 🥰”

“Amanda did a great job taking care of my cat Lucie for 3 weeks! She didn’t miss a day and sent great pics. She is highly trustworthy, I would use her again, and I highly recommend her!”

“MacKenzie & Jacob own 4 cats (no dogs but they sometimes board them) and clearly love animals. My 2 sibling kittens were born feral on my farm and when Mama disappeared, I had to take them in. Did not intend to keep them but these kitties had different plans. I am in the process of training them to spend more time indoors, and interact with other humans and animals. How lucky that I found MacKenzie on Rover. My kitties had their own space (spare bedroom) where I set up their familiar bedding, litter box, food, scratch post, etc. I started with a 24 hour stay and will prob try a few more days before taking a longer trip later this year. MacKenzie sent me regular updates. One kitty was slightly braver, exploring her surrounding. They both allowed MacKenzie and Jacob to pet them (although they admit they were shaking, which is no surprise) and they ate (not much) and used the litter box, but barely left the bedroom. MacKenzie & Jacob put them in their carriers minutes before I arrived (the cats only slightly resisted they said) and brought them downstairs with all of their belongings & helped me load it all up. I am very much looking forward to having my kitties spend more time with these two wonderful cat sitters - even when I don’t need a sitter - bc I want them to get more human and kitty interaction and I believe MacKenzie and Jacob’s home is the ideal environment. They are lovely, kind-hearted sitters who will give my babies the love and patience they need to become less feral and become the 2 house cats I need them to be.”

“This is our second time using Georgia to care for our 4 kitties while we are gone. She has been great each time! Our boys are well taken care of and we’ve had such peace of mind knowing someone is loving our babies in our absence.”

“Gabrielle was great! She was available for me last minute. She kept me updated about the dogs and sent me photos that gave me a reassurance that they were in good hands! Highly recommend!”

About: I have been around animals my whole life, and I have done dog and cat sitting a few times over the years for neighbors or friends. I’ve had cats and dogs in my home since 2014, and I am very comfortable around both. I currently have a full time job; I work primarily in the mornings with evening shifts thrown in here and there. I want to keep all pets feeling comfortable, following their routines/schedule, and keeping them company (within their boundaries). I no longer live with my cats and miss them greatly, so I will make sure they receive extra attention, pets, and playtime (within their boundaries).

“Thank you so much Kelly! My husband and I had a worry free weekend away knowing our dogs were well taken care of with Kelly. She went above and beyond for our girls and seeing pictures and getting updates was amazing!”
“Rachel was fantastic, and our Penny loved her! Rachel was very prompt with all of her communications, and she offered to come by and do a meet and greet before our appointment with her. We also appreciated her willingness to stop by for a second puppy visit after we found out we would be delayed getting home. Great young lady and a great puppy sitter!”

“Karen was so wonderful! I was in Bloomington for five hours to visit family for the holidays and needed a place that my dog could stay while I was with family. Karen was incredibly accommodating and a happy safe space for my pup. He is disabled and has really bad separation anxiety. He was able to make him feel loved and safe and continuously sent me pictures and updates on him. I highly recommend using him:)”

About: I grew up on a farm with many animals. As a child, I had pet sheep, rabbits, dogs, cats, and cows. As an adult, I have always had cats. My 20 year old long hair cat just passed away in January. It was heartbreaking. I miss him dearly. We loved our guy so much. In his last 5 yrs, I spent many hours catering to his elderly issues. Medications and night yowling were issues that I happily took care of as he lived out his twilight years. I have a soft spot for all animals as they go through all stages of life :) I work from home and set my own hours, so my schedule is extremely flexible. I am open to many kinds of arrangements- one time sitting, a weekly routine, daily walks, weekends, etc. I am extremely fortunate to have a flexible schedule. My teen daughter and I live in a large 4 bedroom home, so we have tons of space to accommodate furry friends who need company. We do not have a fenced in yard, but our neighborhood is great for long walks. Our neighborhood has trails through the woods and a home owner’s association that maintains the trails. We have lots of fun walking the trails. I am an avid jogger/walker. I go out everyday, regardless of the weather. I have a very active lifestyle! We recently adopted a cat, but he stays in his own area on a different level of the house. He has claimed my daughter as his and lives in her room. When dogs come to stay with us, he typically stays in his room & pups never see him, although he has made friends with some of our regularly visiting pups 😊 I have a very flexible work schedule. When I do have to be away from home for work, I am gone about 2-3 hrs at a time. My daughter is at home often and also helps with pups. She is great with animals! We both like to take frequent walks throughout the day! In my home, I have a large open floor plan with tons of windows. During the day, I like to have pups next to me in my office, but some like to lay in prime viewing area of all the windows.

My routine is very laid back and I watch for signs and cues. I have two dogs of my own. I love caring for and just being around animals. I live in a quiet neighborhod. While I do not have a fenced in yard, I am willing to walk and give attention to each animal in my care.

About: In addition to being a dog owner for eight years, I have a PhD focused on animal behavior. As an adjunct professor, I don't get as much time working with animals as I'd like, so I'm happy to provide care to your darling pets! I work part-time as a biology professor, so outside of the couple hours a day I'm in a classroom my schedule is very flexible. I do live in a remote location, so how often I can care for a pet will depend on driving time. I believe in making sure the animal feels safe and comfortable above all else. I am good with reading body language, and I let the pet set the pace in our interactions. I only practice positive reinforcement for training.

I am currently attending ISU however I only have class twice a week. I miss my dogs at home so much and would love to spend time with yours. I have been a trusted pet nanny for 4 years and I always stay flexible to the dog’s schedule and prioritize their comfort health and safety.

“Malia has always been very flexible with our schedule and sudden changes. She has taken adequate initiative in communicating with us to make sure Matcha’s needs were met. We have been so very grateful to have had a dog walker as fantastic as her. She gifted our dog with true care and support! Thank you Malia!”

“Stephanie is great with my pup! She spends a ton of time at her drop in visits to feed and/or play with him which I totally appreciate. Not just a quick in and out. She’s tentative to all the needs of my pup and is great at checking in with me and modifying visits as needed. She’s also very reliable and I don’t have to worry about reminding her or anything about days & times. I highly recommended her for help with your fur babies!!! 😊”

“So incredibly grateful I found Melanie to take care of my boys for an extended weekend. She provided daily updates and tons of pics to ensure the guys were adjusting nicely to their vacation home. Definitely planning to use her excellent care in the future!”

“Karan was amazing. He watched our Garfield sized Cat and was truly wonderful. Smart, responsible, kind and loving to our fat feline. I can’t recommend Karan enough. He has an adorable 15 lbs perfect dog as well that will get along great with any dog or cat. Nice place as well, so you are leaving your furry friend in the best of hands. Thanks Karan. We will use your services again for sure.”

About: I have been around dogs of my own and others for my entire 38 years of life. I grew up with having at least 3 dogs at once, then when out on my own for the last 10+ years, have lived with and spoiled at least 2 dogs at a time. I currently have 2 fur kids of my own, who are very loved and spoiled. That same kind of care would translate to any dogs I care for. I'm currently working part time while studying, so I will have plenty of time for your pups! I work 3 varying days a week currently, from about 9am-5pm. A lot of time is spent at home with my own pups, and that would translate to yours. I have a good sized fenced in yard, and can provide a separate space, crating or whatever is needed between your and my dogs! I also keep the back part of my house separate.
“Amy and her Family were great for ours dogs. They provide daily updates and pictures of them. it made my wife and I very happy to see them well taken care of. I would highly recommend Amy for your Dog sitting needs”

“Rylee was absolutely amazing with Grizzly and he seemed to be immediately at ease with her. As a truck driver who spends almost every moment with his dog at his side it was so nice to see him instantly become comfortable with Rylee. I will be using her services again and would recommend her to anyone.”
