“I knew from our first meeting that Nathan and Jackie were the right choice to take care of my Sophie for the 2 weeks I would be in Japan. And I was right. They sent daily pictures/videos of: Sophie playing with their dogs Reilly and Bailey; the kids walking, holding, and loving on Sophie; and photos of some well-deserved chill time. We had excellent communication for the duration of Sophie’s stay with them. Nathan contacted me about a week into her stay to report an issue that he felt needed reviewed by her vet. I agreed and Nathan made the appointment, then took her for a vet visit. The vet also agreed with Nathan and gave Sophie 2 prescriptions. Nathan paid for the vet visit and meds himself (since I was not available at the time). For the next week, Nathan and Jackie gave Sophie the meds prescribed and reported back to me how she was doing with her medical issue. I am so thankful for Nathan’s keen observation and proactive stance on Sophie’s health. The vet visit and daily meds were more than they signed up for and they just took care of it all. I will definitely be taking Sophie back for future boardings, and may even have to take her for occasional visits so she can play with the dogs and the kids!”

About: I’ve always been an animal lover since I was little. Throughout college I have done all sorts of pet/house sitting for friends, family, coworkers etc. I have house sat for a family friend that required feeding and watering horses, milking goats, reptile care, rabbit cleaning care, medicating cats/dogs if needed, you name it. I currently have a Corn Snake, a Western Plains Hognose Snake as well as a Crested Gecko. I have been a Veterinary Receptionist for over 5 and a half years now. I was also an Animal Keeper for about a year with native Illinois Wildlife (including black bears, cougars & bobcats). About: I have been in love with cats and dogs for as long as I can remember! I grew up with 2 cats and 1 dog in my household as well as chickens, a bearded dragon, a turtle, fish, guinea pig, and a rabbit! Currently I have no animals but I still have the same amount of love for them! We always had an "electric" fence for our dog which would gently vibrate her collar if she got out of the boundary. She was well trained and very attentive. Our cats were indoor cats and we made sure they knew they shouldn't try and get outside or on counters. The chickens and rabbit were fenced in outside in a giant chicken coop and since I was handling animals at a young age I am very familiar with how to gently care for them.

I work second shift, so I’m available in the mornings and early afternoons to care for your pet! I also live very close to work and am able to run home on breaks to see my dogs. While I don’t have a fenced yard, I make sure every dog gets the exercise and fresh air they need with daily walks, just like I do with my own pups. For dogs with limited mobility or who tire easily, I even have a wagon that I use to wheel them around so they can still enjoy the outdoors safely and comfortably, something I do often for my senior, three-legged dog. Inside my home, I provide a calm, structured environment. I have two crates available and can accommodate both crate trained dogs and those who prefer to free roam. About: I've been caring for animals for 14 years. I started work at a vet clinic as a dog walker/kennel technician. Now, I'm working to get certified as veterinary technician! I work in East Peoria, 730-530 - MWF with usual chance to come by around lunch time. So I am pretty flexible in my schedule. I do have kids (4&5) who would Love to join my visits whenever pets are comfortable with that, but can visit without just as easily! I am happy to learn dogs preferences and gain trust with them if they are a more difficult animal, happy to come visit prior to rendering services to get animals comfortable. I work with all styles of dogs and cats, even exotics. I mesh well with all, from the sweetest easiest pets to the most misunderstood and challenging!

About: Hello! I am very passionate about dogs and will provide loving, patient care while you are away from home. I have fostered many puppies and adult dogs in my home through a dog rescue in California for 5 years, and continue to do the online work for that rescue from my home in Illinois. I have two fur babies of my own Espresso and Lucy, and our two cats mostly hang out in whatever room the dogs are not in :) We have a secure, fenced backyard with room to run. Dog cuddling and treats are a staple here, as well as walks, frequent potty breaks and playing with toys! My six year old daughter loves dogs but also respects boundaries and will leave them alone if they don’t want attention. I am prompt, professional and respond to texts/calls in a timely manner. About: Everything is negotiable as far as how many pets, how many days or weeks involved, accommodation needed etc. so please message me if you have any questions. I prefer to house sit at your home but, again, I can be flexible! Im pretty empathetic towards animals so I’m aware that they need love, attention, and to be movin’, movin’! I work 3-4 days a week and go in at 4pm and I can get out anywhere from 10pm-12:30am. Checking in with your pet would be my first priority as soon as I got off of work. I will make sure doors, fences, crates (if used) are locked. Dog is always on leash when outside and constant monitoring of whereabouts as needed. Pets provide the best photo ops so expect a lot of updates and funny flicks ^-^
