About: Jan 2026 update: Our availability continue to be limited as most are reserved for our local rescue Second City and existing clients. Please feel free to reach out if you have a request but don’t see any availability. Wishing you peace and good health ❤️ March 2023 update: We had said goodbyes to our most beloved Ryan dog. For all of you who have been through lost, we now understand you and cry with you. We will slowly open up our schedule possibly starting summer time. You’ll see Ryan showing up in most of our photos and descriptions of our dog care style. We are just not ready to go through it and edit any yet… Thank you for understanding :) Hi! Thank you for stopping by. My name is Xu, my partner Sam and our little senior dog Ryan welcome you to our profile. We love going for walks in the neighborhood and nearby forest preserves, and some days we just lounge and sunbathe at home. I would love for your dog to join us! I believe positive reinforcement is the only way to train a dog, maybe we'll try some clicker training if your dog is interested. Ryan is an 13(ish)-year-old brindle 17 pounder. Ryan is very friendly with other doggies, no matter big or small! He likes to go for long walks, sniff around, greet other people and dogs, do some tricks to get yummy snacks, and sunbathe! We will be spending plenty of time by your dog's side as we will be home the entire time. Ryan the dog usually lounge throughout the day when he is inside the house. We will be sending plenty photos and videos updates and keeping an open line of communication. We live in a dog-friendly Townhouse next to a forest preserve for walkies! Ryan is very quiet and will not get in your dog's business. If your dog does not enjoy "parallel play" and need a play partner, Ryan is not going to be a good fit. We host dogs from only one household at a time, unless everyone meets and agree to each other prior to the stay :)

About: **PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING PET/HOUSE SITTING** I want to clarify that I do not typically provide traditional overnight house sitting. Instead, I specialize in drop-in care and can provide multiple visits throughout the day to keep your pets happy, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away. For example, I may visit in the morning, again during the day, and then for a longer evening visit. This works especially well for pets who don't need someone staying overnight but still benefit from consistent attention, exercise, companionship, and care throughout the day. If you're looking for overnight house sitting, I may be open to discussing shorter stays (3 days or less) after a meet & greet, depending on the situation. If you're unsure which option is best for your pets, feel free to reach out! I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and genuinely enjoy caring for all kinds of animals. My experience includes dogs and cats, as well as small pets such as rabbits and other small mammals, reptiles, and horses. I also have hands-on equine experience, including equine bodywork, which has strengthened my ability to stay calm, observant, and responsive with animals of all sizes and temperaments. I follow routines closely—feeding schedules, medications, walks, litter care, habitat care, and all the little details that matter—and I adapt my approach to each animal's personality and needs. Whether your pet is social and energetic, shy and routine-driven, or simply prefers to do their own thing, I meet them where they are. You can expect clear communication and consistent updates while you're away, so you always know your pets are safe and well cared for. I am currently looking to fill in some gaps in my schedule and should be able to accommodate most pet owners and their pet care needs. I follow care instructions closely and treat both your pet and your home with respect and care. Safety, routine, and clear communication are always my priority. If anything comes up or you have questions, I’m easy to reach and will keep you updated while you’re away.

About: I have been an animal lover my entire life and shown it in the care I give. I started my pet care experience at 14 by watching family members' pets, as well as my mother's coworkers' animals. From there, I expanded into word-of-mouth clients from friends, and finally opened up a Rover account when I entered my 20s. I treat all pets I care for like my own, and have experience with several animals, including dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles, small mammals, and even horses. I love learning and continue to expand my knowledge for caring for animals by researching and taking classes where I can. I currently work full time, which is Monday through Thursday from 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. and Saturday from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. I am always willing to work things into my schedule, so please contact me to do so. I love when owners leave me notes regarding their pets care and little trick and habits that will help the pets feel more comfortable. I ensure safety and care to any pets I sit or walk.

“We had an amazing experience with Leigh & Richard watching our dog Ivy for over a week! Ivy is a 7-yr old rescue and can be very skittish at times and hesitant with new people and locations. Leigh took the time to watch her a few times before our trip to get comfortable with her and Ivy did great! We were sent pictures daily of Ivy while on our trip, which made it so much better as we could be stress-free over our dog. Their fenced in yard also worked out perfectly to give Ivy plenty of time outside. Thanks again! We hope to continue this relationship!”
“We have used Katerina 3 times for our fur baby! She is wonderful. Our dog is always happy with her. She sends us pictures regularly with updates on how our girl is doing throughout her stay. We have been very happy using her!”
