About: I am currently getting my bachelor's in animal behavior and care. I've had many bteeds of dog from small to large as well as cats. I love all breeds and I am open minded to all animals. Even the scaly ones. I have 3 cats and a dog with ptsd from their previous owner. I work but am more then able to adjust my schedule in order to pet sit. Throughout college I have done all sorts of pet/house sitting for friends, family, coworkers etc. I have house sat for a family friend that required feeding and watering horses, milking goats, reptile care, rabbit cleaning care, medicating cats/dogs if needed, you name it. I currently have a Corn Snake, a Western Plains Hognose Snake as well as a Crested Gecko. I have been a Veterinary Receptionist for over 5 and a half years now. I was also an Animal Keeper for about a year with native Illinois Wildlife (including black bears, cougars & bobcats). I am currently transitioning to being a Veterinary Assistant so I am gaining new skills weekly! Currently working a max of 30 hours at my day job as a Veterinary Assistant but recently have been working less. Typically I have Sundays and Wednesdays off during the week but sometimes get another random week day off depending on how busy we are at the clinic. My shifts can vary from 8am to 2pm; 8am to 4pm; 9am to 3pm; 9am to 5pm or even 8am to 6:30pm. The earlier I’m off during the day I am able to help after that too. Your home is their home. I will cater to your pet based on what they like or need. If they just need someone to keep them company I’m there. I will treat your space with respect and follow any instructions given. My pets are family and are treated as such so the same would go for your kiddos.
About: I am a 4th grade teacher with summers off. I have a passion for walking and dogs. So this is perfect for me! I walk my 90 lb chocolate lab (quite energetic and happy) miles everyday around the neighborhood and hiking trails. He is a pretty reactive dog (all love) so I am skilled in knowing what a dog needs and how they are reacting to the external variables on a walk, and how to react to that. I would love to meet you and your animal best friend! I have the summer off, so I am available this summer. Once school gets back in session, weekend care would also be something I am interested in. About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was 12 and worked as a zookeeper for the past 4 years! I have extensive experience caring for a large range of animals, including those with special health and age related needs. I'm home for the summer before I start my veterinary technician program in October. I will be traveling for periods of it but have an otherwise very open schedule. I own two cats, both of which are calmer in temperament, and have available separate space to care for smaller animals in my home.
